Bristol city are a ******* disgrace. If anyone thinks we are mid table and not in a relegation battle, they are sadly mistaken. Absolute pitiful display. Nothing about what I’ve seen today makes me think we have the quality or ideas to do anything with this crop of players.

McGoldrick is what 34? And he’s absolutely dominated this game.

Not seen such a dreadful Bristol City side for some time. Dominated in every game.

We got lucky on Wednesday against stoke. Who could and should have scored 3 or 4 in the first half. Sheffield united could have scored 3 or 4 in this first half as well. We cannot keep letting them in behind. We don’t seem to have any game plan, any organisation and just hoping we scrape a half chance from somewhere.

3 yellow cards for kicking the ball away. What a mess. It happens 50 times a game and yet this ref pulls everything up.
-
The ref has blown everything up. No physicality in the game because the ref won’t allow it. That suits Bakinson as he bottles every tackle.
-
bakinson so casual and jogging around all the time.

City realise they can contribute to this game right?

Optimistic for this one, so I’ll go:
City 0-2 Blackburn HT
City 0-2 Blackburn FT
Improvement all round.

I look at those fixtures and it concerns me. You could put 6 league 2 sides up there and I would be concerned. This team are so battered confidence wise, I don’t think they have it in them to dismantle anyone. I would love us to win a few and draw a few, but where do those wins come from? We haven’t got the correct tactics to win games. We look so fragile as a club at the moment. The Barnsley game was 5 minutes of quality, and we managed to hang in there against an arguably worse side than us. Not negative, not a defeatist, just realistic.

Genuinely, if Warnock was here, we wouldn’t go down. I don’t know how he does it, but he keeps sides in this league. Not a long term appointment, but are there ever long term appointments these days? 4 or 5 defeats and the pressure is on.
Right now we look like a completely broken team. No creativity, no quality, no idea. Warnock would get us back to basics and get us out the dogfight we are most certainly in.

But what is the answer ? playing the same players making the same mistakes week in week out is surly going to get us relagated.
Do we have any other options at all? At best we can change 2 or 3 players. We don’t have the squad depth or quality to make more changes than that per game.

At HT I said to Mrs Oxo, we are one nil up and playing ten men. ONLY WE COULD MESS THIS UP!
And it came to pass! I tweeted Twentyman 'I feel sick' at the final whistle, then I tweeeted it to Jon Lansdown...
This season has been one kick in the guts after another. Personally I think Pearson has taken on Ashton, Holden's LJs SLs and JL's poison chalice and he knew it. Our injuries are mounting up again, we are putting our hopes in players across the club who seem helpless and hapless who can not run, shoot, pass, tackle or have any basic technical ability!
After that and the meaningless post match presser I'm glad I have two weeks off!
Why? Like he would even be remotely bothered about another implosion.

Wouldn’t be surprised if city crumble now and lose this.

He is more than happy with how city are doing. As long as he has a nice new shiny stadium, training facilities and can keep an eye on all of his toys, he’s set.

Very possibly. This side has all the hallmarks of a relegation outfit. No lack of effort, but just a complete lack of quality and the basics to win a football match.

Absolute bottom 3 team.

I think we’ve been alright since the goal. Don’t know what more people seriously expect.
Maybe to string 2 or 3 passes together and a bit of movement? Not much.

I can remember not so long ago we were a decent footballing side. We’ve turned in to one of the worst. We look awful.

Looked like questionable decision-making from Bentley to come out of his goal to me. Gamble certainly didn't pay-off and nearly cost us.
Yeah I agree with that. No reason for Bentley to come out that far. He’s not known for his presence in the air. Put the pressure back on the defenders with that decision.

They’re not. Fulham, QPR, Brentford you have to sit in your seat. Elland Road they made us sit in our seats apart from a Sunday afternoon when there was hardly any away fans, Villa Park we had to sit in our seats.
I’ve been to all of those grounds and never sat in my correct seat. Always stood up.

I am not saying sack him because not sure who we could get or would want to come here.
That said, I have decided NP isn’t the right manager for us imo. We don’t set up or play like modern championship clubs. I think we are at the start of the players not buying into this anymore as well.
For a lack of a better term, he is a dinosaur. Mick McCarthy, Chris Hughton and Nigel Pearson. Names from the past and successful in a different era of football.
He inherited and absolute mess and it will be a mess for another season after this minimum imo. So a bit of sympathy there. That said we have watched Cooper go to Forest and turn it around quickly. We have seen Ismael go to West Brom and make them a juggernaut. Even managers like Robins at Coventry or Jones at Luton having extreme success. Maybe Forest are better off financially and West Brom sure. What about Luton and Coventry though? We are not getting all we can from this squad even as dour as it is. We have seen glimpses of quality and fight but why can’t we sustain it? Imo that is from the main man.
I am not expecting miracles but no home wins under the man and performances that are trending down are worrying signs. Not sure January is going to help much either with funds being what they are. So yea can’t really sack him and with him I worry about staying up.
Also, so much for Dave Rennie too huh? Massengo muscle injury out basically a month. King muscle injury out for awhile. Williams muscle injury, fit for 3 games and muscle injury. Some saying Vyner injured. All clubs have injuries but still trending in a similar fashion.
That’s that then.
