  1. Thanks chaps. I feel like i have my own support group ? (i'm not getting nervous, honest).
  2. Or no club is willing to meet our valuation/s, his contract winds down and he leaves for nothing/compensation like others have done. I feels like more clubs are coming around to the idea of not spending huge sums of money anymore and waiting for contracts to end and get players for very little/free. Tricky one isn't it.
  3. Ok, can i be the first to say Ryley Towler? Or is it too soon?
  4. JET! Remember thinking at the time, it was like that one relationship that ended when you didn't want it to. ??(tragic, i know). A frustrating player to watch at times, but one of the most gifted. What a talent he had.
  5. Does it matter who we sell our best players to? As long as we get the best price we can so we can improve the clubs finances and hopefully re-invest some as well then i'm happy. Ultimately, i'd prefer not to have to sell any of our better players but this is football and you can't stop players from moving on, especially to the PL (plus we need the money).
  6. I know Fevs and he did this on purpose. He's evil i tell ya - if his stats dont get you, his horrific thread titles will. There's only one thing for it OTIB!
  7. The Messi love in on social media is embarrassing now. I don't know why the rest of the Argentinian team bothered turning up to this World Cup. They may as well have taken the month off for R&R cuz it's ok, Messi has got it covered. Embarrassing.
  8. Blimey, you're entitled to your opinion and all, but you never stop do you!
  9. Bristol Rovers (i'm going to get hammered for this), but i miss the excitement, build up, rivalry before and after the game, the crowd, the energy and the entertainment during the match. For me, no other team we play has all that and i miss it - it's been a long time. One of the great things about this City having rival teams. (Obviously we hammer them every time too) ?
  10. Got to agree with that mate. As horrible as that is to think, i'm not sure Cardiff would be alone in their response to how they're handling this.
  11. Got to say, if I was a Cardiff fan I'd be pretty ashamed of my club. If City did something like this, i'd have to walk away while the owner/s were in charge. The questionable morals in football makes this sport increasing difficult to associate with.
  12. It's a lot of money to pay to go to England games to watch this. Very boring. Still a long way to though.
  13. Oh god, we're going to win James Corden aren't we!
  14. Fantastic composure and calmness from Rashford.
  15. Are you able to expand? Re Benarous, do you mean NP is supporting him while he recovers from injury?
  16. Good to see some of the usual posters come on here tonight
  17. Quote from one of his wives - 'he really loved me, he'd just ordered me a new car' ? Really interesting watch and recommend it.
  18. I think these days it's expected that you're going to hear it alot at football and it doesn't bother me. However, I think if someone's gone out of their way to make a complaint and the 'club' had approached me to ask me to tone it down, I think that would be enough to make me question how often i swore/the words I was using might be impacting those around me - especially kids. Not sure my thought would be to push back with a view that I'd been the one put out by the complaint.
  19. Interesting twist when 2 of the 'firm' (not sure what else to label them as) announced they were undercover cops at the end. Be interesting to see what happened in next week's episode. And Colin Monaghan ?
  20. Imagine if City could make that amount from the loans we send out. Would be a great little earner. I do appreciate City probably have a similar approach when clubs come calling to loan our players (not suggesting we make money anywhere near that). It does highlight though just how lucrative a business (within a business of a football club) can be doesn't it. Goes to show how good events like last night are. I know what was discussed may not be new information for lots of people on here but I find it really helpful to hear it from the 'horses mouth' as you often get to hear more details and context.
  21. I thought Tins recognised it was sarcastic (if I did, he must have done) - his reaction suggested (to me anyway) that he thought it was funny.
  22. Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing. The LMs driver is to hit financial (I assume) targets for their club, effectively running their job as a business within the club (which I hadn't fully appreciated). Feels like that can hike up the price of loan deals (especially if the LM isnt hitting their financial targets). I can see why City try to avoid going to the loan market as it can cost loads (as well as it blocking the development of our own younsters). Every day's a school day.
