And my point is to be able to quote or rely on 'your proof', we need sustained proof say like 90 minutes would be a start, be honest pretty much all season we either been OK, good, very good or excellent for the odd 45 minutes and dire for the rest, over 30 + games this actual Norwich 45 minutes is only proof of what we already know, we can sometimes play for 45 minutes and that appears to be our limit, that has to change or we are ****** and I sadly cannot see it changing but hey ho I am always up for being proved wrong especially where BCFC are concerned.

Me I am taking Mrs Bung shopping and having a Guinness or 3, I just cannot bear listening to another commentary where the commentator has to say every 15 minutes, 'City are giving them far too much time on the ball', 'why are City standing off of them?' or 'City are making it just far too easy for their opponents' and the polit bureau's mouthpiece quoting from the BS little red book to piped applause.

A consistent approach to a game might be a really good start. Just once I'd love to see us be positive from the off. Start the game how we finished the last one, given how well we played in that second half. If he starts one up front again I really despair. For me the quality is absolutely there in the squad, it's just not being used correctly.

Foolishly I did the gardening this morning so I have no excuse not to tune in. If I had any sense I'd have left it for this afternoon....

    False dawns.........................................................................................................

Proof was Derby 1st half and then????????????????????????????????????

Proof was Newcastle 1st half and then?????????????????????????????????

So 3 convincing halves of football in 5 months, Jesus it's so depressing that all we have to cling on to at this precise moment is 45 minutes against another shit team on a run comparable to ours but at least they sacked their  manager, excuse me if I don't get too excited.

My point was that the proof is there that we have the quality to, and are capable of staying up. It just comes down to whether or not we/they are given the opportunity to make it happen.

if I was a betting man my money would go on a 3-0 or 3-1 defeat and Burton to beat Florest 2-1, sorry but I really hope that I am wrong, I dearly want us to win and I dearly want us to hold on to our hard won championship status, but I need some actual physical proof that City are actually capable of staying up and so far I just don't see it.

Proof was there second half vs Norwich. The question is whether Beardy McSmugface has the balls to go for it or if he sets us up to fail to get a 0-0 like he did in the first half.

Why oh why oh why though  does he insist on referring to players by their surname

    (Post match)

Disrespectful IMHO can't be a good thing

Not sure it's a big deal. We refer to the players, the staff and the board all by surname only most of the time. Thinking about it doesn't Mourinho do the same?

Like two peas in a pod, them two. ;)

It's an extremely negative 11. We looked much better last 20 with O'Neil & Tomlin. Didn't need 6 changes. And another change of formation.

I wouldn't have expected him to start a youngster who cost us all 3 goals in his last league start for us vs Derby. Or start 2/3 players who aren't match fit. Or bang on about energy and start with Alby up top alone.

Admire the outlook mate but this looks like one of the most 'shorehorned' 11 we've put out this year. Newcastle get an early goal and they could ruin riot.

We're playing the best team in the league. We go too gung-ho and we'd get absolutely slaughtered. Golbourne, Matthews and Hegeler put in three of the worst City performances I've ever seen on Wednesday and I'm glad they've been dropped. Energy doesn't just come from the striker. With Tammy and Djuric out who else is there? Taylor is hardly the ideal lone striker and can come off the bench for more energy. Tomlin certainly isn't going to give you energy, but Reid will.

On a serious note I'm angry for the fans that have travelled all that way and spent all that money for him to pick that.

Why? Wholesale changes from a side that has just turned in one of the most inept and gutless performances I've seen in years. I'd be pleased.

Did you expect him to start four strikers and set up to get thrashed?

Then look at the players for once , he can't go on the pitch and hold their hands

I know where you're coming from as someone who has defended LJ to the hilt. But can you hand on heart tell me that we would have had a string of capitulations like this if we were managed by - say - Warnock?

I loathe the bloke but his sides just don't have that mental fragility that we have. Yes players have to take their fair share of the blame but it can't be denied that there's more to the jigsaw than that.

Worrying for him when even his staunchest defenders are having doubts B86. Doesn't give anyone any joy. Really thought and hoped we were going to turn it around today and he was going to prove his doubters wrong (including me).  Sadly I think this is worse than a defeat now, mentally and morale wise.

It's funny. I'd have bitten your hand off for a point before KO.

But there is something seriously wrong to keep doing what we are doing - capitulating from strong positions - and there seems to be zero sign of it coming to an end.

We have chopped and changed personnel and the problems persist. This is a deep rooted problem and I wish I knew what the answer was beyond a change of management because I really want LJ to succeed. But I don't know where else we go...?

We could have genuinely been any score up - 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 and we'd have all still been sat waiting for the vidi printer to confirm the inevitable.

Clearly the players are also in that mindset and if LJ cant change that mentality quickly then someone else needs to.
