Wasn't Wembley really delayed and over budget? And Rovers hired the man who himself says he was responsible for all that...
-
Got to say, these are the 2 most scientific football put downs I've heard, although that is only a list of 2
-
It had 2 long before MK Dons, one went bust and one of them was set to get some money injected in attempt to climb the leagues and get into league 2, and then MK Dons happened and killed the club
-
I still fnd that unbelievable
-
I stopped after the first line, where it suggests Rovers are known throughout the world.

The Return of the Five Pillars .. Yayyyy...
JamesBCFC replied to havanatopia's topic in Football Chat
The pillar about signing young player doesn't say older ones won't be signed does it? Pretty sure it's about primarily signing younger players, not exclusively. So that we don't end up with a squad of players past their best, but instead have a squad of hungry younger players, complimented by a few who will have the nous and know how that you get from being experienced. -
Don't disagree with that, if we weren't in a relegation fight I wouldn't have minded us going for him though

he did take Team Bath, a university team, to the FA Cup first round, entering in the preliminary round, and then got them 4 promotions. At exeter he got them promoted at the second attempt, losing in the playoff final in his first season. He then took them straight up to league 1 in the next season, all while having to sell their brightest prospects and better players. Sure they have been relegated since, but they are still in a position where they can rapidly climb into playoff spots on a good run, being just 5 points behind Accrington in 7th

Don't think Tisdale would necessarily be a step back, but our position makes him too much of a risk. If we were a mid table side looking for a new manager I'd be happy for us to go for Tisdale, especially with him trying to build a long term set up.

how can predicting relegation before a ball has been kicked, or after 1 game as you originally claimed, be anything other than reactionary? yes i can see the table, I can see that we have just dropped into the relegation zone from todays results, but can also see that is is down to goal difference alone, and 3 points separate us from Fulham in 18th. I can also see we have 23 games left, that's 69 points to play for.

He had scored 80% of penalties before today, a very good record, not sure how many times you need to be told that. As for "brings nothing to the team" that's utter tripe. Not a glamorous role in the team by any means, but a very important one that he has shown on occasions this season he can do very well. An example, not that you'l pay attention, is the MK Dons game. I watched him specifically in the first half of that game after seeing him becoming the scapegoat on here, and counted 7 crucial interceptions in the first 30 minutes or so alone. Had he not made these, then we would have been in dangerous positions, certainly would have been goal scoring opportunities for MK.

Jesus H Christ. I used a little exaggeration to make a point. I can't be arsed to trawl through your post history or anything, but your posts on this thread alone have shown that you don't want him playing. "He's lucky to be playing" out of interest who would you have in his position instead? Reid who is a more attacking player and not suited to that role at all? You refuse to accept he may have been able to be any good at anything, when confronted with the fact that he had only missed 1 career penalty before today, you immediately claim it to be 100% failure, not 8O% success as was the case. Maybe you can't remember the 2-2 draw with Barnsley last season where he scored the opener from the spot.
