  1. Just had an email form the club saying 'try at 4.30'.
  2. I had an email at 6.41 pm yesterday evening that said tickets would be going on sale at 7pm , around an hour before the draw, and season ticket holders would have till Wednesday to claim their spot . I've been out of action for over a month with a broken leg and had already decided that I would try and get to this one as a test to see just what I can and cant do, so I didn't rush to get mine(which is terrace) as I wanted to see if I could get a seat. Once the draw was made social media was going mental and it was apparent that there was a free for all on tickets and by the time I thought Id better get mine and see if I could swap it for a seat later, there were none available. I know of a non season ticket holder who was able to buy 12, who tbf , thinks the club should cancel all tickets sold and start again. The club are blaming Ticketmaster- although who knows- and have emailed everyone who contacted them with a 'we are looking into it' email. Update- A club statement has been issued acknowledging a 'small' number of STHs have been affected and it will be sorted. I'd argue that it isnt a small number- but there is hope !
  3. I guess there is some sort of contract, I would hope that Rovers would get out of it ASAP, although I won't be holding my breath.
  4. Apparently you had problems with West Ham tickets? Clearly not on this scale. Since Rovers have switched to Ticketmaster, there have been numerous cock ups, people not receiving tickets in time for a game is commonplace, it barely even gets anyone angry anymore. As it stands, it looks like I , a long term season ticket holder, will miss out on the Norwich game. I get this is a piss take thread and I understand that a few of you are having a chuckle over it, but it does seem that - although not yet confirmed- that it is yet another Ticketmaster cock up and I think all football fans should be wary about this. There are some good people at Rovers in the ticket office as I'm sure there are at City and many other clubs around the country, people who actually care about the fans, usually because they are fans themselves. Football fans need to stick together on some issues and stand up to glorified touts like Ticketmaster.
  5. Fair play, just shy of 9k away fans is decent. Although it goes without saying, that both ourselves and Leeds would have taken more.
  6. I know I should probably know this, its probably been explained to me and I thought 'what a load of shite' so I've forgotten. So, can anyone explain to me the official reason for late flags, as in the situation when your bloke 'scored' yesterday.
  7. Reading through match threads is always 'interesting'. OTIB is no different to any other site in that respect, if your teams is losing there are always a - more than- a few decrying just how shite you are Ii bet the draw at 4/1 btw. My only regret is not doubling up when you went 1 down which I considered doing.
  8. WTF has happened to ticketing at football? Rovers social media pages are full every week of people who have yet to receive tickets and having to make arrangements for collection at ground or just not being able to go. This generally gets blamed on Ticketmaster and the club, yet it seems you have similar problems. Is this something that happens at every club now? I feel a campaign coming on.
  9. TBF they both look pretty sinister, like something out of Inside Number 9!
  10. Yes, but we are grateful for you doing your best to make it a little bit easier
  11. I too heard about the rumours of the Xmas party jolly being cancelled at 'the last minute' after Saturdays dismal performance. Obviously had nothing to do with the fact we had a game last night
  12. The ice bit was true, I was in Shrewsbury at the time!
  13. Half a dozen Ted's trying to take liberties on our Manor, took the first 4 out easily enough, but when the last 2 tried to leg it, I slipped on the ice as I took them out with a roundhouse kick.
  14. Weirdly, up until Covid, Rovers 50/50 draw was extremely popular and was nearly always a 1k prize. Then they stopped taking cash and a few sellers left and now it's around d £300
  15. Thanks , yes nothing too serious. Well, a very badly broken leg, but nothing life threatening.
  16. Well I'm out of action for a while, so I wasn't there and I was going to be taking 2 people with me, so that's 3 accounted for
  17. Can't believe no one has mentioned the likes of Alfreton, Braintree, Eastleigh, Nuneaton etc.
  18. I remember reading about this incident in a Chelsea fanzine of the time. The author was quite upset and staggered that Stanley- who was apparently a bit of a hero in those parts- was so unpopular at Ashton.
  19. My horse racing gang are planning a trip to Galway, a place I really like but have never been racing to. I have done Ballinrobe though.
  20. 13 for me. Just had to guess on the foreign grounds and although I didn't recognise Upton Park, I though there was a bit of a clue in the question.
  21. I love a race course! I've done about 16 . I'll say nothing about The Rangers
  22. I loved him at Celtic, although it all went horribly wrong in the last season . Another Marmite character, I'm afraid our increasingly divided society would make it very difficult for him at Rovers, I saw a couple of posts referring to him as 'English hating' , obviously with no evidence whatsoever to back it up What does seem clear now , is that our new owners just wanted Barton out, with absolutely no plan on replacing him. I won't get drawn into any arguments about Barton as a man, but , despite results, the huge majority of fans I know where happy with things on the pitch and don't understand why we got rid, a not too dissimilar situation to recent events at Ashton Gate.
