On Sky
Two players standing out, if we are getting our future players from lower leagues:Luke Molyneaux from Hartlepool. Skilful & intelligent
&
Michael Smith from Rotherham - took his goals like a classic centre forward. I understand we were interested in him pre season, but he’s now on 24 goals this season & is obviously a fine all round target man too - who works well for his teammates. Possibly out of our price range in the summer

Another company that...erm...went down was in Greece... Voukefala in 2012 were sponsored by their local brothel!!
… went down?… well one expects that in a brothel. Mind you, maybe the Greek team couldn’t (as they say) score in a brothel

Does anyone know if Wael is going to buy Chelsea? Gas fans must be worried their billionaire owner might leave them for his second team

Often when Weimann scores, it’s two goals, therefore two songs might be appropriate

Although I’ve only posted in the last few years, I’ve enjoyed reading fans views for almost two decades. Moreover I’ve read the forum not just every day, but several times a day.
From me, a huge thank you to those of you who run the forum.

Massengo as a centre back will be interesting

Great to see Semenyo score from open play. His two previous league goals were from charging down the opponent’s keeper. Goals will boost his confidence and he will be a significant asset for us

I’m an ex justices’ clerk (chief officer & in those days employer of staff and responsible for training justices) - I was also a senior crown prosecutor for a couple of years. I was called for jury service and wasn’t exempt despite at that time holding a tribunal adjudicator role and with a practising certificate as a barrister. No I wasn’t exempt - but was one of the lucky ones not required to serve on a jury

That winner reminded me of the one scored against them by Nicky Maynard all those years ago

In the derby battle of the Gloucestershire Rovers teams the score is Forest Green Humous 1 Stinky Gas 0

My first game was on 5 November 1960 when City had their record win, it was the first round of the FA Cup and our opponents were Chichester.
we won 11-0 with Atyeo scoring five goals

Two Nagy’s playing.
I remember the phrase “a team of Ivan Sproules” but Hungary have a surfeit of Nagys

I’ve just watched the video that the Rovers fan (cretin) made.
Listening to the litany of foul mouthed expletives from Rovers fans throughout the game is a feature that could be a case study on the underclass that support that team.
It’s so bad, it’s hilarious

RIP fellow red

Ooh Rovers 1-3 down

I saw reference to Bentley’s save before I saw it on Sky’s red button - quite a time lag

We’ve not jumped the gun, we’ve installed the infrastructure for safe standing - but the rail seating currently in place is fixed so that it’s a seating area - which is easily adapted to be safe standing

I was so disappointed after last night…. Then to see Gas 0-4 down after a quarter of the match

On the plus side that’s two matches where we’ve scored twice and and it would seem that we’re not too far away from digging out a win soon.
We scored twice against FGR but only once against Blackpool.
maybe I misunderstood & your point was that we scored in two consecutive matches - I’m which case I apologise

Those were the days! Loved a bit of knock down ginger back in the day.
Simple pleasures!
That’s a bit pervy

To come back from 0-2 down to draw with virtually the last play of the match suggests real character. We are still in with an outside chance of staying up. Well done!

Excellent win. Well done!
we have a real chance of staying up

... and Herefordshire is moving into Tier one - wwhhooo!
(though I remind myself that just because something is allowed in law, common sense dictates that I’m still careful)

Radio Bristol post-relegation reaction:
Thank you for posting the link, I really enjoyed listening. I recall that I was at home in Hereford and couldn't get radio Bristol - I got the news about Rovers's relegation from Sky TV reports
I celebrated with the bottle of Bristol City branded champagne that my nephew/godson bought for my 60th birthday. I reflected that if it wasn't a City promotion to the promised land, Rovers being relegated to the Conference was well worthy of celebration. As I drank I recalled how in 1982 I contributed in my own small way to the survival of the club by purchasing shares which I could ill afford. I reflected on the fact that the Rovers created difficulties that without their objections would have otherwise led to potential financial support from the Council.... then their trying to grab our ground (they're well practised at that).
It was karma, a horrible club and horrible fans. I always support teams in difficulties across the football world... but the Rovers are something different.
Listening to the link has brought a smile to my face during these troubled times

Blackburn Rovers away match day thread

I’ve bought tickets for Tuesday’s match against Barnsley. When I asked how many were sold, I was told it was a very small number. Hopefully this will add to our away support on Tuesday.
I wasn’t at today’s match but sooo hope we can win on Tuesday.
Today has been surreal: the game changed by a last minute goal - incredibly from us - and - a clean sheet for the first time in ages
wow!
