If my math serves me correct then if dopey makes them do extra training he will need to ensure his centre backs don’t work more than 47 hours in any week or the nmw office will be on the blower
Not much chance of that. 89 mins at a push.

So when you were born, they counted your fingers and said OMG it's a Sheed.

Such a weird league they're in. No matter how bad their form is, how many games they lose, they remain 6 points off relegation and 5 points off the play offs !!
Yeah, I checked the table and nothing had changed. A few teams have a game in hand though. Not sure what the Sags have in hand.

Clarification post on Sagchat:
Dwane Sports acquired Bristol Rovers 1883 Ltd (which owns the football club and the Mem) by refinancing that company's assets.
They provided a loan facility of £10 million to Bristol Rovers 1883 Ltd and in the 2016 financial year Bristol Rovers 1883 Ltd used this to :
1) Pay off the MSP Capital loan of £2.7 million
2) Pay off most of the old directors outstanding loans and bonds of £3.5 million (which is why they gifted the shares to Dwane Sports)
3) Pay approximately £1 million to cover trading losses for 2016
This is why the Dwane Sports loan stood at £7.2 million at 30.06.16
In the 17 months since then the club has continued to trade at a loss, which can be estimated at £1.5 million per year, so the loan must be close to £10 million now
So all of Dwane Sports "investment" in Bristol Rovers 1883 Ltd has been in the form of a loan and, because of the legal charge, if they want the loan repaid they are entitled to sell the Mem to get that repayment.
The 2016 accounts state that Mr Hani Al Qadi has confirmed his intention to maintain support until at least March 31st 2018.

May be worth watchin Scunny stuffin em. They are havin a decent season so far, 5th in the table. another bad let down today could be the beginning of the end for Dopey.

Scunny matchday thread has started Come on The Iron.
Ground capacity 9000 so 10000 sags locked out.

Saudi princes arrested and Saudi billionaires have had their assets frozen. Corruption seems rife. Are Wally and his merry band affected by any of this.
The Mem will soon be frozen too as it has no pitch heating.
-
Heard A gas fan yeaterday mention the possibility of the club being taken over by a chinese consortium. Well firstly, the chinese are more shrewd than that and secondly, they will insist on them playing in red.

I suppose that means that they can now include auatralian jockeys in their away following.
That blue and white shirt looked real from a distance.

Value of the Mem? I understand that an arcre amounts to around 15 building plots, so assuming it is around 2 acres, it can't be worth more than £8m even before development costs. I'm not sure what it would be worth for commercial property, but if a loan of £10m has been secured on it, what kind of valuation makes it worth that?
Deduct the cost of building 30 houses on it at say 150k per house, that reduces the land value to circa £4m.

Rumred is spot on. I don't know how others feel but the integrity of sport is more important to me than a cheap laugh at the blue few. Well done to their fans that boycotted the game. If this competition is a success then we could well be playing Stoke City B in a league game one day. This is what they are planning and it needs to be stopped.
We beat their A team (or most of it). I don't worry too much about beating their B team. Look at the B team we put out against Watford.
Get your point though. This competition is a joke. Just make it a L1 and L2 competitiin like it was.
The Carebo Cup is heading in a similar direction though.

Rumred, I get your position, but withour this competition, I would have had a boring evening in front of the box instead of the dustbin thread comedy I have been treated to. It is an embarassment to British football I know, but so are that team of numpties in yhe other quarter of the city (not really half of the city any more). More of an embarassment to Bristol football.
Just wish I realised it was a fiver and thought to become a Swindle supporter for one day only.

Nothing like mocking the real thing mate. Worth more than a fiver for the hilarity. I paid more than that to see Dave Allen 30 years ago.

Ideally the crowd would be zero. One day we’ll end up back in that competition and the same people taking the piss will ask why those teams, and their supporters, didn’t have the guts to do something about it now. I do wonder if some people enjoy taking the piss out of the Gas more than they enjoy football.
Hopefully, not inmy lifetime.

I only live about 2 miles from the mem. Should've gone tonight for a fiver. Even more of a laugh than following it on OTIB. in the Swindle corner of course. Cummon, how much entertainment for a fiver. Would love to have heard the fans chants and reaction assuming you could hear the reaction of less than 1,500.
Slagchat in meltdown yet again thinking that L2 is beckoning for next season.
They are now s**t scared of what Scunny will do to them on Saturday.

Bloody hell, andfor a local derby as well. Thats just plain embarassing. With freebees and concessions, must have netted about 5 grand. I say netted because expenses were greater than that so another loss making game.

Still can't find out what their attendance was at £5 per head tonight. Are they to embarrassed too publish it.
