Yes. History defines a club . How can it not

Think you would be hard pressed to find someone who says Blackpool are a bigger club than city dispite their history

They’ve won the title twice , runners up three times . European cup semi finalists & won the FA cup. Apart from that , yeah we’re a bigger club

Ahh trophy cabinet of course makes them a much bigger club as does Huddersfield,Blackpool and Burnley

Derby are bigger than us in just about every area, apart from current league position, much as it pains me to say it.

History wise they are no doubt but let’s not take the figures they get at home because the gate was a sell out today dispite the numerous empty seats

They most certainly are on every count bar the fact that they are currently in the division below,

They regularly get 30000 at Pride Park and have a history of achievement at the highest level that we can only dream about.
I would love to become a bigger club than them but we have a blooming long way to go.

Which was my point,if we had any sustained years at the top level we would be maximising out non stop as well

    Couple of things ,

looks like some big teams coming up from league 1 next year

Pompey ( that will be lively ) Derby & Bolton  .
another point firstly why is Max Bird coming to us surely Derby are a bigger club , also is he injured already I have looked at the team sheets for the last month or so and he not in line ups or on bench

Derby are not a bigger club than us for a start, they might have been in the top league more than us but don’t confuse the 2

It doesn't need to be a direct impact. I'm not saying that Vardy has been storming into the accounts room demanding that they file the 22/23 accounts.

People are petty, egos are fragile, and issues cause ripples.

If you honestly think a sexual relationship between the women’s team will in anyway effect the men’s team then you are to put it nicely a nutter

Some context needs to be considered as well. Leicester are having a pretty major crisis right now. They're facing 3 financial cases, their women's coach has just been sacked for inappropriate relationships, the board aren't really engaged with the owners, the players are grumbling at Maresca's workload demands, they've struggled to get results, and their rivals (Leeds in particular) have reeled them in from what was, at one point, an 18 (eighteen) point lead.

Each of those issues might in isolation be irrelevant, but as a melange of problems they are all having an impact.

Well done to us for capitalising on that today, but as I said a while ago, I actually don't think this was the surprise result that it will be painted as.

The first 3 points will not have even registered with the players let’s be honest about it,you really think the men’s team care about the women’s team or about the clubs financial situation

    Did I miss much?

Tbh there was a bird who literally stood at the bar all game who had a lovely arse(might be sexist but I am a male)so only looked at the screen when the commentators raised their voice,so would be very grateful if you could do one of your stats things(couldn’t care less really but some do)it would be much appreciated

My buddy is a die hard Bears fan and at the Saints game reckoned that the Gloucester v Bears will be in the Discovery Channel red button - I wasn’t aware that Discovery channel had a red button facility.

    I’ll try it next Saturday

It doesn’t if you mean the discovery channel on sky,you need a discovery+ or TNT subscription to watch it which lets be honest nobody does

Amazing that with all the negativity at the moment, one of the positive things we can look forward to next season with a good signing has a post with negative spin about him joining if we were relegated ffs.
It’s as if some people want us to go down just for personal gratification for getting rid of Nige.

Bit odd that, you are saying it’s a good signing on what basis,he plays for one of the better sides below which is a fact so you would hope he stands out so if the worst happens then we have planned for the future wouldn’t you agree

If we didn't already know we are stuffed if Kane gets injured. Not sure Watkins is good enough at this level

Don’t think he is but you can’t judge him on that, you have to judge him and Toney on a proper English side racking up chances in a meaningful game,it’s no good having a opinion on him when all and sundry behind are basically hoping not to get injured in a friendly

Am I alone in thinking I'm in the silent majority that are pretty fed up with the current situation, unhappy at how the Pearson situation was handled BUT completely willing to wait til next season to judge manning (where he WILL be judged from game 1 onwards)?

Theres a lot of noise about manning out etc but do most fans feel like me ?

Not looking to knock anyones opinion (2024 has been dreadful and masked from looking even worse by the FA cup), just sometimes the loudest voices portray a larger sentiment than the reality.

Some people continue to say OTIB doesn’t speak for the majority of City fans which is true of course, but I speak to friends who are not on here and all feel the same,I expect you are in the minority but it doesn’t make you wrong

Every time you watch Liverpool you can see Jurgen Klopp’s personality come out in his team.

Unfortunately the same goes for Bristol City and the mood hoover we have in charge.

I hate scousers with a passion but give me a klopp over a pep which every young manager wants to be for some reason any day of the week

We keep hearing Liam Nothing (sorry Manning) say how he’s always trying to make sure the players take the emotion out of the game.

I don’t like this approach. Emotion is part of football. Sometimes it can affect you poorly but in my experience it can also have as much of a positive effect than a negative one.

I actually WANT to see my team playing WITH emotion. Not without it.

I’ve really had enough of this bloke.

We also hear him say “at half time we spoke about how we might think about how to engage higher”.
No no no!! It’s your effing job to TELL them how to engage higher. Not have a polite feckin conversation about it.

    Enough. Honestly.

You have VAR taking the emotion out of the game at the top level and our manager taking it out of our club

Just had a 'Banned' Message on my profile for 5 minutes.

Admin getting annoyed at the criticism towards the club? Or are the powers that be having a word in their ear...

5 minutes and you feel the need to start a topic about it,I’ve had sex less than that and the ladies seemed satisfied,I certainly was

    And the rest..

He spent that amount on 2 strikers, more like £30m all told.

I have no idea the OP thinks we’re discussing - he’s as likely to want to leave Coventry as Gary O’Neil would leave Wolves.

And they still won’t get promoted

The general consensus was that he was out of his depth when he came on against QPR and clearly Manning agrees.

It's all very well mentioning Yeboah and Nelson but nothing we've seen from Manning suggests that they'd have got any more minutes than Mebude has.

So why bother wasting the money on a loan signing

  19. 7 minutes ago, RollsRoyce said:

No, he was a player Manning scouted extensively last season. At least that is what Manning said. So I assume he rated him.

That’s more worrying than a signing to please the fans
