  1. Any club listed on a stock exchange will have to comply with local listing rules. Those rules will include strict requirements on the publication of accounts (and other "price sensitive" information). The consequences of missing those deadlines are severe, and in the age of computerised stock exchanges, often automatic. Suspension of trading, negative press, it's all quite serious. The HKSE is also one of the most prescriptive of the major exchanges. It's no surprise that Birmingham are punctual.
  2. Norwich attendance given as 23,757. Last night given as 25,713. Both figures are actually "tickets sold" rather than "people through the turnstiles". For every home league game you can take off approx 2-3k STholders who don't turn up. Last night almost all of those who bought a ticket will have attended. So ok, maybe more like 4-5k more than Norwich, but it will have been a bigger difference than the 2k gap in official figures.
  3. Yeh because in reality it was probably 5 or 6k more than the Norwich game.
  4. As I've said multiple times: any young player who graduates from our academy and goes on to do well in professional football is a credit to our set up. Glad to see him having a great night.
  5. I'm living under the belief that Scott and Kalas will be elsewhere next season. If they do stay then I'll be pleasantly surprised, but if they go then we will get a huge cash sum for Scott and a huge wage saving from Kalas. It's win win either way really. I've made my peace with it. As to the others, I think Pring and Tanner will still be with us. Both are contracted to the end of next season (plus the club has the option to extend), so I'd expect to hear some contract news on both of them some time in the next 12 months. Their contracts may well up following Pearson's own contract. Again his ends at the end of next season. We may see a situation where players wait to see what he does, and then the dominoes fall. Equally we may not and everyone may just look out for themselves.
  6. Firstly you're completely correct. Secondly, people are angry. The Premier League have taken them to a commission, the government is introducing a regulator, and people have mocked them relentlessly. "Too little, too late" maybe, but at least things are happening. Thirdly, however nefariously they have done it, you can't escape the fact that they've assembled a truly incredible squad of magnificent players. That squad can be the best team in the world whilst their owners and accountants connive to create the worst club in the world. Whether right or wrong that was the team we played against last night. That was the team that our players acquitted themselves against. Man City's time will come in the courts and under a regulator. Last night was a football match, and we played well.
  7. How long until Bristol City are a top 10 Premier League team? With the best of fortunes and a very fair wind probably a minimum of 4 seasons, more likely 8 or so, even more likely never. Nope. Yellows are only relevant to the competition they're earned in. He's fine.
  8. Well that's likely that. But Man City have had far, far, far easier games this season. We've done ok. On to Cardiff and the rest of the season. Let's go get that 11th place finish ?
  9. Curl away from goal just took it behind Bell. His run was good. Tenacity from our wide players was good. Just inches and a bit of spin from going in.
  10. I'd possibly nominate O'Leary to join that list. Couldn't do anything for the goal and has done his job well. Maybe he's the level below "quality" in that he's "done his job", but I think he's due some recognition.
  11. One of those games where we're playing well - but even playing well means we're only hanging in there. To actually threaten, and even score, we need to play incredibly well. And even if it's 1-1 in ten minutes time...I mean just look at the difference between the benches to see how that last 20 mins would go. I'm proud of us, we've done well, but winning this from here will take a monumental effort of legendary proportion.
  12. This is fair. I think we're starting to get run a bit ragged though. Starting to get stretched and a little messy. We're still in it but we're going through an uglier patch.
  13. Well we're getting into their box. Next step is making the chances to shoot.
  14. Cheering on from Center Parcs tonight and am just hoping the team perform to their maximum potential. This could be a fantastic, legendary night in our history. COYR
  15. If he gets a yellow - no. If he gets a red - yes. Yellow cards are accumulated per competition, reds go across all comps.
  16. See Man City, we can put our owner's company logo on our shirt as well.
  17. Woodland is about £10-15,000 an acre apparently. Don't blame him at all for snapping up 3 acres of peace and quiet.
  18. If we win tomorrow then in my opinion it will eclipse the Man Utd win in 2017. As a team Man City are better, Pep is better, their players are better individually. They are much better than that 2017 Man Utd team. Equally, I think we're comparatively a little less dynamic, a little less dangerous, our squad is a little shallower. We're not quite the final team that we can be. In 2017/18 we were just about at the peak of our powers with that squad. We were flying then whereas right now we're climbing. So we're a little weaker and they're a little stronger. I think if we win it's huge, the best result in years.
  19. Play our best game - something like we did against Norwich - and who knows. Maybe we get to 70 mins and it's 0-0 and we can do something. But realistically it's going to be bloody hard. Bloody, bloody hard. Viva City.
