  1. To be fair the Club have never to my knowledge fully set out exactly what the "Club Captain" role entails.
  2. Enjoy the turbulence. I always think of it as a free rollercoaster ride. It's fun!
  3. Not sure I've seen anyone say it but that point for Wigan makes Cardiff's relegation slightly more likely. In case anyone needs a little silver lining.
  4. He's been made Club Captain. That's slightly different to match captain. If he plays then yes he'll wear the armband, but it doesn't automatically mean he'll play. Bentley was Club Captain for the whole time he was on the bench this season.
  5. Mehmeti take a bow. All about that assist. Lovely chip out of the bunker and dropped onto Atkinson's head.
  6. If the possession stays like this then it will be interesting to see how we, as a "counter-attacking side" can cope with being asked to make more traditional long-form attacks. Also can we defend the kind of counter-attack we normally produce? It's already a completely different match to Saturday's, as I think a lot of us expected.
  7. Yeh. But it's not every match he takes the ball from a throw in in the 9th minute, shimmies past two, then spanks a shot on his weaker foot from 20 yards. Had four Weetabix this morning I reckon.
  8. For the purposes of suspensions earned for accumulated yellow cards the Cup and League are separate. A tenth yellow card in a league match will not cause him to miss the Cup game.
  9. Ha yeh but even that full quote was "I've been very successful playing a real fluid style, at Luton we were a real aggressive front footed side. Statisically there weren't better than me around Europe in terms of clean sheets, defending the box, balls in the box, xG, all those things." So still harping back to Luton.
  10. Not in the league. In all competitions yes he has, twice. Both this season: 1. August 2022 - Luton home 2-0, Cardiff home, 2-0, Wycombe home (EFL Cup), 3-1. 2. CURRENT RUN! - WBA home 3-0, PNE away 2-1, Norwich home 1-0. He's not managed 4 wins in a row...yet.
  11. As much as I am counseling for feet to remain on the ground - this is also our best 10-game run of form under Pearson. The last time we took 16 points from a possible 30 was in the middle of Holden's run.
  12. This guy gets it. It's those teams in between us and the team in 6th that people forget about. We have to not only be better (ie have a better points per game rate) than the team in 6th, but also better than every team between us and that team in 6th.

Not only have they played an extra 2 games, just look at the difference in goal difference. A really good example of how the Pts column in the table can really mislead. I wish that during the season the table was ranked by points per game.
  14. Presumably they are also now raising funds for a statue of Kieran Maguire?
  15. I presume the Derby fans are right now putting together a huge banner thanking AML checks and the EFL O&D test.

We're comfortably safe. Just like last season we were never really in danger of actually going down either.

Well it means if you go at 0.5 points per game (win 2, draw 1, lose 11) and Wigan 10 points below you goes at 1 point per game then you still finish 1 point above them. So based on that yes. However, Wigan have two games in hand so actually 1ppg would get them 16 further points, and leave them 1 point above QPR. They'll probably be fine but it's not going to be an enjoyable end to the season for their fans. Probably need 3 more wins to be safe.
  18. Are we keeping the title up to date? Oddschecker showing 30/1, 66/1 even if you really think the bookies are wrong. It's not happening lads. Gamble responsibly and keep your £ in your pocket.
  19. Let's try and address that a little.
  20. A very interesting question actually. They play very different roles and are very different players so it is hard to compare them directly. I guess my initial thoughts are that you have to set aside the raw goal numbers. If you don't then obviously Tammy wins every time. With goals aside I'd say that for a consistent number of high-level match-defining performances you go Tammy. However, if you're looking for singular great performances then Scott edges it. We've got the benefit with Tammy of knowing what he's gone on to do in the Premier League and Serie A, and for England. With Scott we're still talking about potential, however high that may be, it is possible it will go unfulfilled. I think ultimately I go Tammy.
  21. The right foot is generally reserved for your traction engine.
  22. Was good for us until the injury. Before people say he's had a short career - he's still managed 9 years and 287 games as a pro, so averaged 30 odd games in each of those seasons. 3 seasons in the top flight, one of which he played all 38 games. It's not the longest career but he's done well.
