Pearson on RB just now. On XI changes - strength of it is testament to the squad. A luxury to field a strong side and bench. Mentions relentless season and that he wants progress in the cup and to give players a chance to show what they are about. He expects a strong performance. Decent situation to be in. On the mix of experience and youth - Yeh it's great. Mentions Massengo and Williams in particular. Wells as well. Just generally says that competition for places is good. Semenyo has been training on the grass again. CODs injury - he should be available for the weekend. That was it.

The mouth of the saviour himself. Post-Blackpool. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-manager-nigel-pearson-5756604 When asked as to whether the decision to leave him out was related to injury or a tactical decision, Pearson said : "Adam Nagy is fine." The City manager then added: "But he has expressed a wish to leave and it’s more important to play players that want to be here." Pearson said Nagy had expressed his desire to leave "privately" and confirmed the club are yet to receive any bids for the former Bologna midfielder who's under contract until next summer.

That's what I'd expect if he does play further forward. I believe that is roughly how he has been used in the past for France U21s. Guess we have to hope for a win and a decent, attractive-to-TV-companies, draw in round 2. Yeh, it's a very young '3' behind Wells if this is the case. Williams is only 23 or so as well isn't he?

I have many questions. Has Nagy withdrawn his "indication he wants to leave"? Wonder how Kalas feels about playing but Wells being giving the captaincy? Will Massengo play further up the pitch as part of the "3" in the 4231? Having said that, it's good to see Pring and Janneh getting minutes, I quite like that as a League Cup 1st round team.

I'd understand if he didn't want to leave the UK for family reasons, but my counsel to him (not that he needs it or has asked for it) would be that if at the age of 23 you get the chance to go to a wonderful city in a wonderful country, and play for one of the grand old teams of Europe, under one of the grand old managers of our time (despite all his faults), then go. Go for a year, maybe two. Play well and clubs such as Arsenal would undoubtedly still be an option. To go to Arsenal right now...it would be a crying shame in my opinion. Maybe I'm being a romantic dreamer and am ignoring the realities of football business, but if he's genuinely got a choice to make then it surely has to be Roma.

I'll be honest mate. I've no idea what you're on about here.

Get paid a bucket load to live and work in Rome? There's not even a decision is there? Go immediately. Buy a flat on the Piazza Navona, get a Vespa, get really into espresso and that square cut pizza they sell by weight. Training runs around the Circus Maximus. Gelato. Get aways out to Tivoli, Lago di Bracciano and the Apennines. Just go Tammy. Get out of London. Have an adventure in the eternal city.
