  1. The next few weeks could get hugely interesting. Reading the article from The Times further up in this thread it is mooted that one of the reasons Brum kept hold of Che Adams was because they believe a potential points deduction this season could put them into a relegation fight! and was worth the risk of aggravated breach! So, if true, Brum see a points deduction as a real threat. Villa, on the other hand, seem to be carrying on regardless - are they maybe not in breach? Or, at least dont think they are? Interesting times.
  2. Exactly. Otherwise Villa’s actions in particular, would be utterly reckless and I just don’t see them doing that considering the ‘potential ‘ consequences.
  3. IF this happens it could be the defining moment for FFP in English football. Somwhow I suspect it won’t be a points deduction punishment. I also believe that Villa, who must also have issues, have spent in Jan comfortable in the knowledge that any punishment will be financial. Otherwise their actions are bizarre.
  4. Whilst I totally agree with you I suspect he may well get another job in football, in the Bristol area...........
  5. No, you aren't. The reason LJ was not on the train is due to the fact that the Tombola machine did not fit in the luggage area. He went up on the Mega Bus
  6. Can't see it frankly. I doubt anyone will be coming in before the loan window shuts. I suspect the owner has sent Lee the numbers regarding what he has spent so far and suggested that maybe he should be doing better with what he has given. All speculation clearly but you really couldn't blame him. An awful lot of money has been wasted, we focus, understandably, on the permenant signings but what about the loans that would have cost a fee and at least a % of wages. Woodrow Kent Diony Leko To name but a few!
  7. Good post fella. IF SL did say that to,the BP, only to be expected. Actions speak louder than words but given his blind faith in his hugely inexperienced and failing HC, let's see........
  8. Surprisingly I am not worried too much about this evening, I can’t see us losing, that obviously doesn’t mean I think we will win! The spirit amongst the players and very importantly the crowd is very positive, I don’t think Wolves will be looking forward to this one. The atmosphere is going to be intense and with the predicted rain it is going to be a real test for them. From what I have read Millwall did not give them a moments peace on Tuesday and that is what we do too, so......
  9. There always hope and then there is blind optimism, on this occasion the later was the correct choice. I will let others judge how it looked after 70 minutes. In the main, in any game, at any level, anywhere in the world, a team that is 2-0 after 70 minutes and playing poorly, rarely win the game. However, I am truly delighted to have been proved wrong - it was a fantastic result that did not look remotely likely at 70 mins.
  10. I bow to your greater knowledge, at that point there was a comeback on the way that only you could see. I salute you sir
  11. Numerous opportunities to clear it, none taken , dreadful goal to lose. Cant see us getting 1 back never mind 2. This highlights despite what some say we actually don't have a strong squad at all and the blame for that lies squarely with MA and the management team.
  12. This is a must win game no question. Brightons result last night did us zero favors. Two weeks tomorrow against Brum would be an utter ordeal if the loser could or even would, probably go down.
  13. Much as I don't like not trying to win it a point would be something IF we can defend the draw.
  14. Swansea v Man City is one! Would need to check the fixtures for the other
  15. We did you are right, but there should have been a replacement lined up. There was a lot of stuff in the press about interest in him, let alone what the club was aware of privately.
