I’ve not really got too much of an opinion on the Yeboah loan - pros and cons….but the point I would’ve made is exactly yours….the injury to Bell creates a spot.

but Sykes and Twine (hopefully) are back

only OTIB can go into meltdown about loaning out a 17 year old who can't get in the squad

Thanks for that. Always welcome reasoned and structured debate.

You could possibly say which bits were rubbish and show your workings? Or is that, y’know, a bit more difficult than facepalms and single words because you don’t have anything constructive to say….

Bath are semi-pro so when do you think they will be training? As opposed to a professional team like say Bristol City. Also with two games a week do you think they will be training 2 evenings a week also?/ Finally whilst Ephram is waitng for training/games to start in the evenings do you think he will be shut up in a room in Bath on his own all day?

And your statement that players refused to pass to Medube is just laughable

I think the thing that’s being missed here is twofold:

    - This isn’t a loan to Yate Town. This is going into a conference south promotion race with two games a week. Bath also train twice a week, and EY will be involved in the U18s Youth Cup. With that schedule there is no chance in hell that he’s training with the first team. I’m not denying the loan may be beneficial, but for people to say he can/will still train with us on a first team level - at anywhere near the point to accurately gauge/coach him is just manifestly incorrect.

    - And the second thing that’s being missed is very early in his reign, Liam cut down the training groups. The first team squad are training as the first team squad - there is less of the U21s or suitable 18s training (IIRC a poster who would know posted that here) - and a lot of it is patterns etc with extra lines on the training pitch. Want to know why less academy are involved on matchday? Because they’re getting less exposure in the week. No reason why that will change.

On balance it is a good move for him - because he’ll be playing. But this isn’t “beef him up and let him train with the first team as well” - it’s out of sight, out of mind.

    Rubbish

So why wasn’t he loaned out during the window then? It’s piss poor planning from our DOF amd management team.  That’s not ‘beating with a stick’ it’s just plain common sense planning.

well for starters, a side needs to want to sign him

So in 270 minutes we have seen a player that we have an option to buy (He cost his belgian club in excess of £1.5 million) for a lot of money for just 30 minutes.

As I said he was brought in for the here and now, seeing that LM had already dropped Yeboah from the first team picture. Strange that he hasn't used him more.

He's 19, there's plenty of football to be played

I guess I’d answer it in 3 parts.

    a) I’d rather he stayed and was coached by Manning as to what he wants from him going forwards.   Learn from the seniors whilst they are still here.   Get on the bench and get minutes  WILL STILL HAPPEN apart from getting on the bench which he's has no chance with our current bench

    b) If that isn’t happening then I would want and EXPECT our DOF and his team to have worked on him getting a decent loan in January. League 1 clubs would’ve picked him up and top league 2 at worst.  This is a player with champ experience this season.  No chance of a League 1 Loan, I'm sure if there was interest we would have heard of it and he would have gone.

    Z) if the new manager doesn’t want scenario an and the incompetents can’t arrange scenario b then I’ll take him going on loan and playing mens football. But National League south? **** me.   He’s better than that and he should’ve been managed better.  Much much better.    Is he though? I think this is the option for him with the window closed

Why was he not used against Wednesday last weekend, if he is as good as you make out ?

    because we used other subs

If Yeboah had been that poor in his first game, no doubt, Pearson would have hastily returned him to the U21's. The fact he stayed around the first team squad and was getting regular minutes tells its own story. Suddenly change of Manager, pathway blocked by a similar player with less experience in mens football and now shunted out the door.

What happened to gaining experience training day in day out with Championship players. That has to be better than playing half a dozen games for Bath City imo.

If Manning is such an amazing youth coach why has he not kept him here to try and improve him ? Surely that is the primary role of a Head coach (improve players).

You do realise that being on loan with Bath means he will still be attending training and maybe plying games for our youth sides?

I’d rather he be given opportunities here NR - especially over the likes of Mebude.

Really, I've seen enough of Yeboah to know he's isn't ready for this season. Need to see more of Mebude

Yes of course but you said “more [enjoyable] than under Pearson”. I enjoyed some games under Pearson, some under Manning. Preferred football under Pearson and felt it was slowly coming together.
You’ll also have read that I said that I respected your opinion…. By definition this is about personal preference.

The only game I've enjoyed under Nige this season was Plymouth and possibly Swansea away

Noticed still not fit enough for match day squad, talking to a burnley mate who stated his availability recorded not the best. They spent 4 mil on Twine and will want their money back. Even at 3 mil can we afford to spend 3 mil on a player who has already missed a few games for us? We already of a recent history of players who have struggled with injury.

He played 26 times for Hull this season. So his availability isn't that bad

Otoh we sold Ayling for something incredibly minor by comparison so I'm not sure how to view it really.

No we didn't. He was sold because we thought we had somebody better. We hadn't though
