There is no way Philips had any intent to endanger Gordon and i didnt say there was i was putting it around the other way as would there be any reasons here not to give a penalty like Gordon PIADM playing in a dangerous manner and its a no for me. On espn yesterday this one was on there and the ex pros totally disagree with you but the laws are if a player has no view of a player and he kicks him its still a foul and If a player indulges in gamesmanship and an opponent kicks him its still a foul .

Appreciate the view point and knowledge you have, for me it's weak pen that prays on the interpretation of the laws.

There is a part of law that can be applied for impeding to delay block or impede an opponent but I dont see it for this one. Gordon is attempting to win the ball misses it and his opponent so Gordon gets there fractionally first and Phillips whacks his leg. Theres also playing in a dangerous manner and is Gordon endangering himself or the opponent!  Its unfortunate for Phillips feels wrong because hes unlucky but you cant kick an opponent. Theres a food mixer of things going on there and in real time i dont see all that but with the replay i can its still back to you cant kick an opponent.

There is no way Philips had any intent to endanger Gordon, realistically he had no view of him.

It's gamesmanship, playing on the farcical set up of var.  Great to see officiating completely void of common sense.

I certainly have no flag to fly for Liverpool, if anything, I don't like their fans for many reasons.

However, I think this is a master stroke by Klopp. Top of the League and in the EFL Final. It could give that extra impetus for the 2nd half of the season. The players and the fans will be even more up for it. I also think the timing helps if they don't go on and win the League because it won't look like he's walked away because they didn't win it. All in all, he's been brilliant for English football and good luck to the bloke in the future.

I was thinking it could potentially go the other way. Xabi Alonso surely lined up for them!

My sister has been married 3 times. Each new husband has been welcomed into the family though from our point of view, we got on well with the previous one.

That is how this feels. The new manager will have my support even though I wanted Nige to stay.

On a side note, my sister nearly married a Notts Forest fan, fortunately not as he turned out to be a complete @rse.

Still time by the sounds of it

19 years...and that's your contribution?   Looking forward to your in depth review of our attempt to sneak into the playoffs come the 2042-43 season?

    Edgy.

    Please post more pointless observations.

    Yes, it is me!

Started doing the PA from 94 iirc after Tottle stopped. Finished in 99 when they wanted Sam Mason pitchside.

Prior to doing PA from 83-94 covered club home & away for GWR until station switched to all music programming.

Great memories dealing with TC, Joe Jordan  & Wardy. Used to travel on team coach away with Tottle & Latham. Never ever won in card school on trip home!

    Sam Mason.... Jesus.

Thanks for bringing that memory back!

I’m just not a happy clapper! I refuse to accept second best in life, treading water isn’t fun, it’s dull. As I said before, it gets more frustrating when every game is an away game, aside from London matches I travel six hour round trips home and away to watch us. Believe me if you don’t have to do that it makes it less painful.

Maybe take a break, it's fairly tedious hearing your belief that we should 'go for it' every several posts.

FFP putting us at serious risk of a points deduction less then 12 months ago. What do you suggest? Perhaps sign 11 random players, hope it gells and prem this time next year? Maybe we can do a Reading, much more than exciting - in fact Reading may be closer for you.

Admin - I seem to recall that the last Rent Boy to infest this forum under the handle “Ashton Hero” was quickly rechristened “Deluded Sag”. Any chance “Hot Air” could undergo a similar head-swap op.? Suggested alter ego, “Inert Gas”.

For someone to come on, ignoring any valid questions in order to waffle rubbish is past tiresome.

    Mods it's time.

Sweetheart, you've heard it said that the opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference?

You and your fellow contributors are quite clearly not indifferent to us. Your protestations notwithstanding, you are still deeply interested and even invested in us and our fate and fortune.

Now, it is Friday evening. Let's leave it here for the weekend.

Imagine joining a past rivals forum and spouting that in a thread dedicated to taking the piss.

Poor troll just doesn't get it.

There wouldn't be a BRFC without them. It is that simple.

After Hayles was sold, Holloway put together the Cureton-Roberts partnership, which was one of the most feared strike forces in lower league football.

Cureton was there already and Roberts was less then a Tilson. Only remember them from when you bottled the last 6 games of your best season in the last 30 years.

You actually sold some decent strikers during that period, shame the money was spent renovationg the beaches in bris.

Favorite Dunford moment was when he closed your old forum.

Anyway dont let facts ruin your fun.

And then straight back down again after finishing rock bottom of the championship.

But we have gone off track - the essential point is that you were 'tinpot' relatively recently. In 1982, when you almost went bust because you could not manage your financial affairs (say what you like about us, we pay our creditors and don't rely on charity from our players), and when the drummer of Bros was your chairman.

But it was certainly more fun, wasn't it? Professionalism has certainly come with a price for you.

Funny how easy it is to identify you through your use of other forums.

All the barbs yet no bite. D-

Also the Dunfords milked your "club" dry. Still waiting on what happened to the Hayles money.

Genuinely hilarious reading your tedious trolling.

Please point out where I claim they are. By using the brains within their head, OTIB posters would proceed from 'hot air' to 'gas'. That's how it works - you refer to something that is similar in the hope that people manage to join the dots.

    Jesus wept.

You'd think the standard of baiting would improve.

Wrong across several points yet still a self righteous tit.

Of course he can. But it is hypocritical.

JH getting rung out on social media on this - his choice, its not like the UK has a perfect track record on human rights.

Literally nobody talking about the billions in trade the UK gets from arms deals to the gulf states, Saudi included.
