Just bumped into the legend that is @Harry in the mall at Stratford tube, so that’s two of us making it!
Bet he was buying a sausage roll.

I don't know if any decision about a delayed kick off would be partly impacted by the international television coverage.

I would change plan and drive. Plenty of places in Essex to park and get fast trains in to Stratford. Don’t rely on GWR, they are chaotic.
Isn't the problem with a Network Rail controlled part of the infrastructure rather than a GWR issue?

For those who have asked, the tickets I had that were available have gone to @bcfc01 who has made a generous donation to
In exchange for them.

Hi Rob,
Sorry you can’t go.
I only need one ticket for myself, I would contribute to a charity and chuck a 5er at the forum. I could also collect.
Thanks
Thanks for the reply Sam, currently I am in conversation with a forum member who would like both in exchange for a charitable donation, if this doesn't end up in a home for the tickets I will post again in this thread, but for now, assume they are unavailable.

just in case people have lost hope.

Two spare tickets available to a good home*. Too much else going on to be able to find the time to attend.
Upper Tier, both £10 tickets.
I have the tickets in hand (actually went to the trouble of collecting them, with the intention of going).
Price. FREE.
However, if the lucky recipient wanted to bung face value at a worthy charity, that might be a nice touch.
Note. Given I can't verify 'good' as a home, someone who throws a fiver towards forum upkeep is more likely to be the lucky recipient than someone who doesn't.
You'll need to collect them as well, I ain't delivering! - pretty free tomorrow, so can be a bit flexible.

It's not good for the club really. It's good for the owner. He takes profit out. That's why the parent company is based in Guernsey.
Does that mean that on the orders of the parent company, all bands will have to play a cover of the Bergerac theme?
I hope so.

I can't see any other way to get two stages in the place
Not going to fit two on the pitch, the line up will be interesting
If it's an 'all dayer', then none of the acts are likely to be things that require a big stage-show, so either side by side, or opposite ends of the pitch will likely suffice.
Either way, it'll be interesting.

Bristols own IDLES have a home gig gap in this years wold tour, so I'm hoping this is it.
Would like it to be more local connected bands, but doubt it will.
'Now That's What I Call Jon Lansdown' coming to a venue near you.

Either that or JL's Spotify Wrapped!
But fair play to them for trying to put more events like these on. They're a good idea.
They are. Although I do worry that with this being their own promotion rather than something by the likes of Live Nation, the risk of them getting it wrong is sky-high.

My fear is that 'self curated' will see them attempted to provide something for everyone and ensure in the process people thinking... Well, I only know one of bands, but not enough to pay 'x' amount to see them when the other bands are shite.

That's up there with LJ's Europe in 5 years
Which, to be fair, was a comment made at one of those BBC Radio Bristol Forum sessions when asked by GT, 'where do you see yourselves in 3 years time...' type questions, DC said 'Championship' and LJ said something along the lines, 'Well, if we are being that ambitious, Europe'.

It won't be Westlife. I'm in their main fan club, whilst lead singer for a Westlife Tribute act, and have seen them 53 times. They are touring America this year.
Spice Girls, Cher & Rihanna are strongly linked to be headlining Glastonbury with one due to be announced soon, so I think it will be one of them three as a warm up. My monies on the Spice Girls as it's their 30th year, and VB has been seen with the girls lately in studios. So they are definitely touring this year, and an announcement is due soon. The Spice Girls at the Gate would be huge.
If the tribute act isn't called 'West Country Life' then a trick has been missed.

Given that - based on attendances- the Vixens are now the second best supported professional football team in Bristol, maybe they deserve a section on the forum.

Fair enough, wasn’t aware of the capacity restriction.
Is that a long term thing? Wikipedia says it can hold around 18100 in total as a result of this.
I'm sure Harchester got more than that when they were playing there.

With the Fewers being attendance obsessed, do their average home gates this season exceed our..... women's team?

Why is the thread starter getting grief here?
Offering to BUY a spare ticket from someone who might not be going after an expensive time of year and people are trying to rinse them.
