  1. Absolute bobbins. "Help! Our bank has been cyber-robbed!" "Any evidence?" "Nothing. They were clearly very careful." "Well, according to Chief Justice Gashead we aren't allowed to investigate". Idiot.
  2. (A) when there were suggestions that the police had been heavy handed in a home game last season, those on the receiving end of what looked like was robust policing never made a complaint, but following witness reports it was investigated. (B) it might be that they have not yet found evidence based on a report that has changed several times since it was first published. (C) And this is why police investigate things. To try an establish the facts. (D) Not all crimes require a victim to complain. If for example, the investigation shows people behaving in a way that would put others at risk, they might be charged for a different offence. (E) The person who raised this has been quite clear that a former Bristol City season ticket holder was assaulted and had teeth knocked out, such was their distress and post traumatic stress, the were damaged sufficiently that they then wanted to watch the Gas. Saying there is nothing to investigate is sweeping some pretty serious reports under the carpet. And if this did happen and they are able to identify those responsible, then the match day experience of others will likely be enhanced by those people no longer being welcome in the stadium.
  3. Any idea if the original post from HG was pasted in to this thread? Might save a bit of time confirming the facts.
  4. At least one of the moderators have already said Julie wouldn't be welcome. Which is a shame.
  5. He has said previously that he knows the man as he is a regular visitor to his shop. So he will have a first hand account.
  6. About the incident involving the supporter or him being laptop-repair man at Ashton Gate?
  7. Guess we will find out in due course.
  8. I thought he said it was the South Stand. I'm sure someone more savvy than me can find the relevant posts on their forum though.
  9. To be fair, he has said he is happy to meet, has details of other people who witnessed the incident and all that sort of thing. Just hope he is consistent with everything he has posted over the last couple of years. He shouldn't has too much of a problem identifying various bits of the stadium, after all, he has said previously that he 'repairs laptops at Ashton Gate'.
  10. Shouldn't take long, given that he is now a witness to the crime, rather than just a third party. gree with you on this Hugo I know from personal experience that when i complained about some of the things posted about me and my company their Mods did act at the time but since then they have allowed it to carry on If PC Bristol Sport mens section 1982 would like to come and see me and show me her warrant card i would be more than happy to relate to her the full story and introduce her to some other witnesses who can corroborate the story. I won't hold my breath though
  11. In the Post today, their manager basically confirmed that Wally won't be putting any cash in.
  12. Avon and Somekit... Somekit - like the kit Mansfield wore to great success.
  13. And have a forum of more that about 15 posters. They would be foolish if they thought that police/officials didn't read forums.
  14. You'll be in for a warm welcome. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/12444/people-mods?page=1
  15. Nothing, but you would be wasting an awful of of time and resource. And a dim view might well be taken. Not qualified to offer advice, but my feeling is 'avoid'.
  16. Go on @JulieH - take to pro-active approach to policing and pop in to second hand computer repair shop and see if you can find someone who might be able to shed some light on this.... I'm sure as a fine upstanding citizen he will be happy to help.... unless he likes the idea of those with life-impacting conditions suffering in silence. I even floated the idea of a OTIB whip round to buy the victim a Season Ticket and was surpringly not voted down.
  17. Of course, if this disabled supporter was to be real, we might even be minded to have a whip round and pay for his season ticket - in the same way that it took a City fans to galvanize their supporters to raise money for the Rovers fan who was sadly injured on military service. Did we not help arrange a helicopter to get him to a final?
  18. You have to wonder if he regrets not taking the Leeds role when he had the chance. Granted Leeds were something of a bonkers club back then, but if he had done well he'd be set now. But working for a club with no money might well leave some chairmen wondering if he would be able to motivate already wealthy players.
  19. So they have a free signing from Shrewsbury and the son of the head of recruitment. They've as good as won the league.
  20. I get that money isn't plentiful, but surely they can find a few quid for some promising players.
  21. At what point is your support likely to galvanize and demand some investment in the team? You have strong numbers through the turnstile but every year you get free signings and has-beens desperate for a game. I am amazed your lot are happy to be treated like that.
