  1. Financially they have no worries, simply because that computer shop poster they have makes up his own numbers. The BBC report the Bodin fee is in the region of 400k. This has now become 750k plus 25% sell on. So when they are down to their last few quid, they've got him on hand to add a few million to the balance!
  2. Bless em. Some of them are already talking about the sell on clause as Bodin is going all the way to the top. They said much the same about Taylor and he hasn't set the championship on fire. Me thinks that too many years of non league and lower league football has given them a somewhat unhinged view of how strong the championship is these days.
  3. One reasonable signing and their wage bill will rocket.
  4. Bless em over on Gaschat, the 400k fee has already risen to 750k plus a 20% sell on, someone of Facebook read it so this is now a fact as far as they are concerned.
  5. Don't know if this is a piss take or not.
  6. Make sure @JulieH is aware as well. Dare say the majority of the blue few don't want a racist anywhere near their club either.
  7. Where did the clapping on their PA system story come from? Sure I heard it the other day but couldn't remember where I'd heard it so didn't post anything.
  8. To be fair Slim, they are bound to be the 3rd best supported club in the country as they are the 6th richest. Any fool knows that.
  9. On the plus side. There was a bit of spare glue so there were also able to patch up inflatable Irene, who has been to a number of festive gatherings this holiday season.
  10. Generally pubs don't sell out of date crisps.
  11. They really are a strange bunch. A seat yielding 20 or 30 quid 22 times a season is nothing compared to a seat in a restaurant or corporate setting that might have a slightly lower 'profit per use' ratio but can be filled 6 or 7 days a week. But all they want to argue over is if a stadium with a 40,000 capacity would be better as they take 40,000 to Wembly every time, even when the official attendance was only 30,000.
  12. They are SAVED! Apparently they have 10,000 supporters who can contribute a regular monthly amount towards a 25million quid stadium. Or at least, one of them claims. Now, unless I'm wrong, most commercial loans generally charge interest, most generally expect loans to be secured against an asset to which a charge can be made and generally, to get credit, you need to be over 18. So, we now understand the entire fewers fans base. All over 18. All homeowners with no mortgage. All happy to pay commercial rates on a 25 year commitment (regardless of their age). All happy to lose their homes if it all goes breasts North. Now, far be it for me to pick this convincing case apart, but.... Hahahahaha.
  13. Bit of digging suggests that Uncle Steve might have the hump because his seemingly worthy consultancy to help ex offenders back to work and society COULD be the company in question. http://prisonconsultants.co.uk
  14. Would guess a smaller supplier of occasional services, the owner of which probably spends 99% of their time trying to get new business and the OTHER 99% of their time trying to trade and chase invoices. Small business trying to get establised? Not enough hours in the day.
  15. Didn't they also print thousands of 'Wembly' t-shirts a few years back as well?
  16. I have some sort of Top Gear thing on the telly. They are in Jordan at the moment. From the bits they've shown, I can understand why Wally has been reluctant to shell out for a new stadium, Jordan looks like a right toilet, so the Mem probably looks like paradise.
  17. Maybe they are planning in advance and they hope that other clubs will have phoenix clubs, just to keep them company when Wally pulls the plug.
  18. That's your lot. Your sister is your mother. You uncle is your brother.... #relatives
  19. There is a thread on their forum about 'reputational damage' and if Wally and family would want to be shamed by seeing Rovers fold. Given any credibility they might have had at home was probably jettisoned when they took over, I doubt if They'll be shunned down the country club if some lower league outfit no one has ever heard of collapses.
  20. Sadly for them, they think 'Remnants' is a Brazilian midfielder, and not something from Brian Steel's bargain bucket.
  21. Getting out of the conference via the play off system is apparently deemed success.
  22. I'm not sure what they are moaning about. One of them says they need the facilities they deserve... pretty sure they have those currently.
