  1. Rashford for Saka sooner rather than later. Allows Foden to switch to the right
  2. If England v France could get any bigger, it just has.
  3. He was sacked after we lost 4-2 at home to Blackpool, Sept 1967.
  4. I watched the sags v Boreham Wood game which he reffed. Didn’t fall for any of the diving, cheating, theatricals, trying to get an opponent sent off, nonsense from the gas players. Looks a ref with a premier league future.
  5. Don’t know, but I would be surprised to learn we’ve played the same day as England played France in the quarter final of the WC. As much as I love Bristol City, there’s only one result that matters today.
  6. 45 mins of totaless football. This is not going to finish with 22 players on the pitch.
  7. Spanish ref giving all the 50:50 decisions to Argentina.
  8. You’re not dancing You’re not dancing You’re not dancing anymore You’re not dancing any more.
  9. There’s a lot to said for putting your laces through the ball in these shoot outs.
  10. I think it’s also the lack of cynicism. No pulling back, no throwing yourself to the floor, no holding of the face etc
  11. Don’t know what it is, but I love watching Japan play.
  12. Could be cagey with both teams scared of being hit on the break. Might be wrong but I don’t think it will be a goal fest. 1-0 to either side or 1-1 and ET and pens.
  13. Stating the bleedin obvious, but next goal huge. 3-0 walk in the park. 2-1 squeaky bum time
  14. Apparently Southgate is dropping Rashford for Saka.
  15. Just noticed Sunderland are at home to Millwall, just kicked off. Thought the Championship was closed down for 4 weeks. Gives both these sides a significant advantage of match sharpness going into next weekend’s fixtures.
  16. Can’t believe how passively Denmark are playing. As things stand, going out without a whimper.
  17. Surprised no one’s started the Norwegian commentator's rant, obviously adapted for tonight’s purposes. Dylan Thomas, Shirley Bassey, The Manic Street Preachers, Neil Kinnock, Gladys from Hi De Hi, Tony Pulis……….
  18. Whilst Wales channelled their inner Michael Sheen, England channelled their inner Mr Sheen and polished the Welsh off.
