  1. amazed at how The deluded ones are turning their nose up at the possibility of Cotts...they really think they will get better? Jesus!!
  2. Tony Adams....it wont be https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/46544684
  3. if the surface stands up to it....Bristol Sport will consider it all as extra money. It'll be quite some juggle though. Swindon would welcome the extra cash, but I cant see any other place being a good enough size tbh. The Rec has a bigger capacity than The Mem, so doubt they'd consider it a reasonable deal. IIRC Swindon were more than happy to roll out the welcome mat
  4. there was an outside chance that Bath were to play at the County Ground as an interim measure a few years ago. The Mem was never mentioned, but there again, Bristol Rugby and the Gas were sharing The Mem at the time
  5. just looked for The Gas next fixture.....away to Doncaster. I wonder if Agent Herbie Kane wants to go down in history as the Darrell Destroyer. The man who got Darrell the bullet
  6. It's possible they are both right. Received £1.5 million for players, reinvested £0.5 million on players and the rest on tents, unnecessary offices in London, legal fees etc
  7. in complete contrast we have Henbury Gas in Hero gas fans thread http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13281/remember-good-news-story
  8. IIRC Iain Baird gave the Dolman the finger once.....and never played for City again. Wonder if Stefan Payne will receive the same treatment over at Gas Central
  9. Went into Swindon tonight and .......there is a Circus at the STFC Car Park...how ******* appropriate. How long before our Gaseous friends do summat similar
  10. as far as I'm aware our Gas Headed friends didnt own Eastvillle. Eastville was the property of the Bristol Stadium Company...are they trying to convince someone they sold a ground they didnt actually own?
  11. at age 56. I dont hate The Gas. They are quite simply an irrelevance these days. I miss the days of close rivalry, and they arent likely to reappear any time soon.
  12. Frome Road.. yes I know about that. I'm due for a meeting in County Hall on Friday btw
  13. that'll be about right. BA14 or SN14/15 even better
  14. the Club and local business have made their views very well known. I agree, and as a Bath born and bred person, the Rugby Club is an integral part of the life of central Bath. The moneyed Bath likes to live on a Chocolate Box lid though No I'm serious. I too am ex St Brendans. Same year, same Rugby team
  15. the famous Good Night Irene would sound fantastic...oh hang on....the away fans would be louder too
  16. you claim that...BUT its a major uphill struggle. Friends of the Rec (and their well financed opposition) have a million more tricks to play...at every last stage of the way. The Rec was bequeathed to amateur sport.....and that is Bath Rugbys biggest problem if I was them, I'd surrender . Bruce lives in France and couldnt give a toss about 'em now
  17. just to lob the cat among the pigeons...I was at school with Bruce (owner of Bath Rugby). If I recall correctly, he was a very minor Rovers fan, but Rugby was always his major passion on the sporting front. I'd pretty much toss the Gas theory to one side now.. he was/is far too sensible to bring the swamp donkeys to the party.
  18. Bang On!!!! Suspect the local rowing club would be chucking a fit too
