  1. still staring at their phones wondering what City are up to
  2. Short Term Sam at 10/1. Nuno Espirito Santo may be interested can't see Pochettino going back there
  3. Tammy Abraham: Loaned to City from Chelsea and the rest was history. He won the Champions League with Chelsea and is now managed by Jose Mourinho, winning the Conference League last season. eh?
  4. https://therealefl.co.uk/2023/01/28/exclusive-its-over-swindon-town-set-to-announce-manager/
  5. Saturday 11th March: Forest Green v Gas. This could get interesting
  6. Big Dev was very effective I grant ya. We don't do Wimbledon style football though
  7. These days Andi Weimann. In older days Bobby Reid and before that, Shelts
  8. Are his gums still bumping? I can't be arsed to look
  9. I was from the Weston area of Bath and know a good many Bath City fans who resented the fact that Rovers pitched up at Twerton Park. Similarly I know of a number of "Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U" fans who temporarily watched the Gas and seem remarkably absent from The Mem
  10. Always liked Arsene Wenger as a manager personally. I thought the way he kept Arsenal qualifying for Champions League Football for so many years given the budget he had was an immense achievement. City wise....Joe Jordan
  11. There is a big gap between L1 and Championship in terms of finance, speed.....everything. It'd be short term delight for the Gas followed by months of misery.
  12. A printed programme...I remember them. It was all part of the matchday experience, whether in Bristol or some far flung (for me in those days) place like Wolverhampton. I'm old enough to remember the "Football League Review" which came with the programme and thoroughly enjoyed the read. Like a printed daily newspaper though....it's had it's day and times move on.
  13. No. I stumbled all over this clip this afternoon when one of my colleagues was boring me shitless and I was just agreeing with everything she was whining about. Some great memories in there...Norman's free kick made me grin. Poignantly it all ends with the Big Cheese...in more ways than one
  14. Can't see City sacking him, though he's a proud individual and feel he may resign. Who takes his place? Very possibly Jason Euell. Its just speculation..he's very definitely Citys manager atm
  15. Alder bloody shot......now there's a memory. Wasn't their ground in the middle of a public park? You rocked up at the turnstiles and took a walk along a public pathway around some shrubbery to whatever part of the ground we were standing in. Top Right from memory
  16. the day we went 92nd....I remember those times well. Never mind. Good of The Gas to go one step further. Thats one contest they have beaten us at
  17. Ye Family Stand at Twerton Park Twerton Park (10 years in exile) 630/659 - The Bristol Rovers History Group. (weebly.com)
  18. wtf have I just watched? It's like a knackered old err ground (not gonna call it a stadium) in a depressing place behind the Iron Curtain.
  19. I knew The Gas owner had a role out there one way or the other
  20. "Last week marked 22 years since the last time Rovers were above City in the league pyramid, a statistic gleefully classified by supporters in the south as “The Gap” and as the Robins have spent 14 seasons as a Championship team in that period, the Gas have been unable to get out of League One" I beg to differ. Even had a spell as a non league side
