    Mbude.

There was definitely no visa issues, or anything linked to Brexit that Manning stated in an Evening Post article. That was confirmed to me by the KVC Westerlo correspondent Kersten Steurbaut at Gazet van Antwerpen. Mebude only had a problem entering Turkey for a pre-season training camp.
  2. Its the closest date to the anniversary, on the 19th February. She only sings when she's ringing.
  3. Spot on. We should feel ashamed of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of one of our greatest ever wins. I understand you've chosen suitable atire (below) to wear at Ashton Gate this Saturday in the Directors Box.
  4. Sorry @TomSutton, I cut and pasted the text without checking. Schoolboy error.
  5. City were fully deserving of 3 points against the high flying Saints whose impressive 25 game unbeaten run was brought to a shuddering halt in the most complete performance seen at Ashton Gate for a very long time. Manning talked pre-match about a game plan and City stuck to it in a manner that suggests the players have bought into the manager's approach whilst he too has shown he has the nous to make the best out of a squad he inherited as they executed a counter-attacking style with aplomb. Ian, Mark, Tim join DaveP in reviewing the match and looking forward to Saturday's game vs. QPR

    Mbude.

Nowhere near as good a shooter as his brother Josey
  7. This sums up our Harry - Swift and Lively!
  8. David who? I was about to invest in Whisky casks!
  9. They'd only conceded 16 goals in those 22 games as well. A stunning result and thoroughly deserved.
  10. My apologies, I should have verified the attendance, which was 38,688 and has been documented by our Merseyside rivals, https://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/Game/977. Mind you, 'Gerald' Sweeney?
  11. My first season watching City. That 8 year old was bloody lucky.
  12. Liverpool, a 2-1 victory against the champions in May '77, in our penultimate game, thanks to a brace from Garland, in front of 37,000 fans. Then on to Highfield Road and the rest is history.
  13. After the midweek exertions against Forest few were expecting City to win their first league game of 2024 at the Riverside but they did just that with a spirited display and two goals in the space of as many minutes quite early in the first half put them firmly in control. They might have gone in at half time with a 3-goal lead had Sam Bell not allowed the keeper to smother the ball in a one-on-one situation but the second half was a different story as Boro camped in our half, had a goal disallowed, pulled one back & didn't capitalise on a good free kick position in the 96th minute when only 5 minutes of added on time had been signalled. Ian, Mark & DaveP dissect the action and look forward to Tuesday's game against Southampton. Plus, a message from Belgium...
  14. Yes, and it's welcome. How can we improve without critiquing the bad points. Keep up the good work Dave.
  15. You were spot on raising the back 5 WSM. I just think we we gambled on saving legs and got over the line thanks to good defending.
  16. Not sure about the injury, but Harry's departure meant we constantly lost possesion. That and the switch to a back 5, which must have been a gamble to conserve energy for Tuesday. Thankfully, it paid off.
  17. I've given him pelters, but today Cornick was excellent. A great outlet for numerous goal attempts in the first half. Perhaps its something they've worked on in training. I can only guess that he got a knock, because the substitution was strange and we lost Harry's ability to press Ayling.
  18. Was it just me but did Cornick play well in the first half? Good hold up play, coupled with great runs and precision passing.
  19. Anyone know why we looked so tired in the second half? I'm joking!
  20. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! Oh, we do like to be beside the Tees side! We do like to be beside the Tees! Liam applauds the travelling fans and punches the air!
