Then stop quoting me, but you see it is a concern to me that so many lives are being lost to talking bullocks to another Football Club, who btw are no longer non league basement but are Bristol based, some of the hate fueled comments is very indicative of a mindset that is based on no other reasons other than a ridiculous 'tribal' near neighbour conflict that has long disappeared in a society that has evolved.
Clearly some are still struggling with evolution, this is one reason we won't see top flight football at AG for longer than some would like, it is counter productive negative and very childish, just the sort of attitudes SL is trying to counter.
However I don't expect many to stop and think , merely to carry on regardless, because that is the nature of the beast, it's difficult to actually change behaviour, but it might be a start if the Mods took away their toys..

Another couple of beauties from gaschat...
I see the Teds have sold a massive 72 tickets for the Scunny game, what a difference a Linesy winner makes !
We took 190 to Hartlepool last season on a Tuesday night for a basement game.
They are just massive, wish we could be like them and take that many to an away match. All they got over us is a decent ground and that's it, okay they will say they get bigger home gates but its like a library wheras the mem has a better atmosphere with half the crowd. The reason why they keep throwing the ground in our faces is because that's all they can can throw in our faces. The thing is we know it isn't the best stadium that's why we want out.and you get some on ere that are up there arses..........

It's not a 'love in' it's just realising that they will support their club no matter what, just as we did as we plummeted down the league.
It's called empathy.

Easily pleased whatever you say doesn't change my mind about a club I love and support through thick and thin .. you've had your low points .. crowds of 2,500 etc when you were in the bottom league ... I stand with my head up with pride of being a Rovers fan .. We have got whingers n stuff but what is there to whinge about ?? I'm happy and if easily pleased is being promoted twice in a row then that's weird. . It's amazing what we've achieved. ..
never been below 3000 my many fingered friend

Obviously there will be a level of bias no matter how much I say there isn't.. However, in my job I'm lucky enough to visit 20/30 pubs around Bristol a day & 80% of gasheads I hear talking, in relation to their owners wealth, genuinely have delusions of grander and think they are extremely rich and will be huge in the near future, it's honestly laughable and not even solely from a city fans view, crazy. On Tuesday a sag was talking about the opposition in L1 and started talkinh about the teams that were relegated from the championship, I kid you not he said "MK Dons are a load of shit" & "We will beat them easily" madness. I understand all teams have idiot fans just like they have rational ones aka philgas/in the net but with the blue few it seems to be a very one sided percentage.
ruddy hell.......you got any jobs going?
