Elliasson won’t get an assist but virtually his goal with the run that led to the corner
Good Lad
It was his cross headed in wasn’t it?

Have we scored yet?
Yes

Yesss! Both crosses from Eliasson could have been goals. He could be such a big player for us if he keeps this form up.

Positionally week , tactically week , physically week , timing week ,
but some think he can be coached into a quality cb .....
assured at lb , so he’s a lb then surely .
weak.

No chance is Kelly ever going to be a cb.
And more to the point why would he he’s a lb !
Why are we so insistent that when we get a decent player we then try are hardest to play them in other positions , truly baffling ..
Kelly himself has stated his preferred position is CB. Plenty of things to knock LJ for, but trying Kelly out in the position he intends to play in isn’t one of them.

Well played City, hugely important win. Listened on BCTV and thought Carey made some excellent observations/comments throughout the commentary.
Anything particularly of note?

If only LJ had realised this before dropping him for Barnsley, Brentford & Millwall....
I agree. I said when he wasn’t in the line up vs Barnsley I was dissapointed and didn’t feel it sent a good message to Kelly or Joe Bryan after LJ said Lloyd was MOM in both his appearances

CODs looked very sharp since his return. Put on a bit of muscle as well and looks very strong battling for the ball.
Get in Matty!!

Lloyd Kelly should just be our regular left back from now on.

Not sure why people are gloating at those criticising the team. That was an awful performance typical of the level we’ve been at since the start of the year. A very good header against the run of play against a team that haven’t won at home in five months doesn’t really change that.
I’m behind Johnson and hope he can find a more consistent direction with what he’s doing but we do seem to have a number of problems that don’t seem to be getting resolved.

What a header. Don’t deserve it tbh

Cardiff 2 - 1 now.
Who cares about what Cardiff are doing?

How does someone like Djeidhou, who's built like a brick shithouse, seem to get shoved off the ball so easily?

He isn't but his form is. Such a on and off player.
Yeah, thats kind of what I meant, but in my annoyance at that horrific wasted pass I overstated slightly.

Patterson is absolute dogshite.

This is so poor, verging on amateur.
There's always talk of coming back refreshed after international breaks but we always seem to look half asleep.

Joe at FB, Kelly on the bench, Maggers has a foot injury, otherwise the same team as last game.
Bit disappointed with that after LJ saying he felt Kelly was MOTM in the last two games. Would’ve been a good shot in the arm for Bryan to see he can’t rest on his laurels.
Would probably prefer a left side of Kelly/Bryan than Bryan/Patterson anyway.

Dare I say we're looking a lot better for not having Pato? He's been well off the boil for a while and we seem much more solid going both forwards and backwards without him.
-
Credit to Kent, working really hard defensively.

They can’t deal with any counter attack at all. Transition from them attacking to defending is absolutely killing them. We are smelling blood now!!
Might be able to make back some of our Villa gd here.

Bristol City v Nottingham Forest Match Day 1
in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive

He’s been great pre season. Two brilliant crosses, one of which resulting in a goal as we start the actual season. Don’t think it’s unfair to say he could be important if he keeps the form up? Much like how bobby continued his pre season form last year
