  1. City TV need to turn up the crowd volume. Akin to watching a game in lockdown.
  2. Strange that given Burnley’s dark shirts, that we didn’t go for our white shirts. Looks too similar on the telly
  3. To cancel the football because the Queen has died is unnecessary, albeit understandable. However, to cancel the football because the Queen has died, only to replace it with a game of rugby is blooming farcical. Football is extremely good at commemorating those it’s lost along the way, and should be rightly proud of that. Hardly a game goes by without a minutes silence, or a minutes applause which is usually respected by both sets of supporters If the rugby hierarchy can make a sensible and enlightened decision to play, then why can’t the football authorities have the same backbone. We are used to showing respect appropriately.
  4. Sorry Dave, I’m a bit blooming late to the party on this, but how much “ish” do we need in the coffers, and by when?
  5. I would counter your point, by suggesting that there’s been speculation about his likely departure for months, and rather than undermine team moral, he’s playing better than he has done since his arrival, I would add that his personal level of commitment at least matches everyone in the team. Plus, the whole team’s playing more entertaining football than it has for years. As such, I would like him to stay. Football as they say is a game of opinions.
  6. Would’ve thought that if you’re going to build a hotel at Ashton Gate, one that overlooks the park is going to be a lot more in demand than one overlooking Winterstoke Road. Or, imagine the value of the flats that could be built on the back of a redeveloped Atyeo stand. If Nelson Mandela House just around the corner is 11 stories then a redeveloped Atyeo and buying the houses you may well be talking 100+ flats with views of the park, Royal York Crescent, the Suspension Bridge. Given that Frayne Road on the other side of the park is known to be one of the most expensive roads in the area, and North Street now being one of the most sought after places to live, it’s hard to understand just why someone hasn’t done this already. Perhaps its the likely need for underground parking and the issues of the river (think it’s the Malago) but, wouldn’t have thought it’s beyond the wit of man to factor in a solution. All this could allow a pretty sizeable stand to be built on the rear of hotel or flats (perhaps both) Think I’m right that The Lansdown stand is virtually the same height as Mandela House, so perhaps it has the potential to happen, although would’ve imagined a billionaire would thought about it before and there’s a pretty good reason why it hasn’t.
  7. The £9M offer is presumably a toe in the water offer, hoping that City will take £12M. To lose him for less would be a real shame given the excitement he brings to City fans who've seen the absolute carnage he causes running at Championship defenders. If we are to sell him, a bidding war between a few clubs would be ideal. Given he has destructive pace, power and is so young £12M is way below his real worth. City are bloody right to tell Premiership clubs to sod off unless they come back with proper money. Additionally, probably not alone in thinking that you wait a generation for the Messiah to come alone, and it would be just wrong to sell him to Norwich
  8. Update on our disappearing season tickets. Appears that the club have agreed that the tickets were taken away in error, and we’re getting them back. Absolutely delighted. Thank you all for your support.
  9. Thankyou. It’s definitely the case that someone clicked the wrong button to reduce his season ticket cost to the amount he was expecting. The fact that he had no knowledge that it would release all the other tickets for general sale and wasn’t made aware of it is the absurdity. Additionally the fact we weren’t made aware of it, no phone call, no email is clearly an error in the system that nobody had done a risk assessment on. The ability for someone to inadvertently cancel all other fans season tickets is an error that the club will be aware of, but chose to do nothing about, presumably due to ‘couldn’t be bothered on the grounds of not my responsibility or it costs too much money to fix the issue. The result is 11 very angry fans who aren’t going to go quietly.
  10. Absolutely, we all believed we had until May, however our entire block of eleven ST’s have been sold without us being made aware. Apparently it dates back to the ground rebuild and the mass movement of supporter blocks. One of our group renewed and our entire group went into his basket approx. £6000. He then deleted all those that weren’t his seat, inadvertently and unknown to him, and us that they were then put into the tickets available for general sale, and then sold !!! No contact was made to anyone, as to whether this was an error. Richard Gould apparently saying computer says no. We would urge everyone to not trust a word that the club tells you about renewal dates. Plus why on earth is a software patch put in for the ground rebuild still live on the ticketing system?
  11. City have released and sold a whole group of supporters season ticket seats in the SS unbeknown to the ST holders. Group has apparently been sitting together for nearly 20 years. Believed to be about 15 fans, although this may be just one of a number of groups effected.
  12. It appears that there’s a major glitch in the season ticket renewal software, which dates back to the block transfer of groups of season tickets for those who wished to sit together when the ground was rebuilt some years ago. Something has occurred in the system allowing a season ticket holder to inadvertently release the other seats in the block group onto general sale, meaning that season tickets have already been sold to someone else before the season ticket holder has had a chance to renew. How the block arrangement is still live on ticketing system some 5 or so years after the move of blocks of fans from the Atyeo to the South Stand is not clear, but there’s going to be a lot of unhappy fans finding out their season tickets have been sold before the renewal deadline. Think Richard Gould is going to be a busy chap sorting this mess out.
  13. Thought he was great and that football will be duller without him in it. Did what he had to do to get points, sometimes wasn’t pretty. Wonderful character though and we loved to hate him, but I think the vast majority will miss him. Happy retirement.
  14. I know I’m not paying for it, but the Swansea commentary has n this fed is tad biased. Not sure to whom I should complain
  15. Got to say that not being able to watch this game without pretending to be abroad is an absurdity. Someone at the club needs to explain why we were provided with a better customer experience when we were in lockdown. Was it that someone at the club didn’t think this through, or have I missed something. When I can watch this game abroad, but not in the UK without having to drive to a bar in Bristol is ridiculous. Such actions, or inactions but the clubs are more likely to get fans filming it from their phone and broadcasting live themselves. If the clubs lose revenue as a result, then they deserve to. Someone needs to bang heads together
  16. Hiah, anyone know what Sky Sports channel City are on the Red Button? Those at home are struggling to find it? Thanks in advance
  17. Was watching a feed with Fulham commentators, they were full of praise were wondering whether Fulham themselves should be making a move for him.
