Was the peak downfall under Holden, we had double figures injured every week, young Towler in midfield...

******* HELL, Lynchpin Lansbury! Moore-Massengo-Towler-Semenyo on the left flank was psychotic on reflection too.

We have come a bit of a way. Who remembers 2020-21, Annus Disastrous.

We went to Watford and lost 6-0. Freshly relegated they were.

We went to Norwich and lost 2-0 but were somewhat outplayed, a long way off.

Bournemouth away, we actually played very well first half and narrowly lost. This was under the early season buoyant start under Holden.

I must've erased this trauma from the memory banks coz I've got absolutely no recollection of that 6-0 😂

Ironically Naismith as part of the 3 may assist us in that respect.

    Dunno but e.g.

             Vyner Atkinson

       James Naismith Knight

Bit more control and or ability to carry..natural left-right combination at CB too.

Was thinking about this today with the obvious benefits of a righty and a lefty at CB (always loathed an RR/LL pairing), balance in the midfield when RA is back and KN can be moved forward, but when we have a fully fit side - does genuinely look really good for us.

                            O'Leary

    McCrorie - Vyner - Atkinson - Pring

                   James - Naismith

                            Knight

    Sykes/Weimann - Conway - Bell

Probably need an upgrade on Bell if we're being brutal imo, as Anis hasn't done it for us yet on current showings, but that side looks every inch like it'll be one of the better mid table sides to me, all we need is a bit of luck and it could go our way. Plenty of reasons to be cheerful!

Linington, Langford, Ward, Eltringham, my top 4 (worst).  Dean Whitestone about to join them, and if we get Andy Davies again, make that top 6.

It shows how bad the standard is that I can rattle off a crap 6.  I could add a few more in that I don’t really rate too.

Stroud nowhere near as bad as those.

Whisper it quietly but Stroud has actually been quite good when I've seen him officiate recently. Linnington and Eltringham definitely the worst imo.

Very good article in the last OSIB mag about an Muslim Asian City fan and his experiences at games. Sadly, it's still a thing.  Maybe @Shtanley could share?

As a white male I really have to look the those on the receiving end to gauge its effect.  I'm sure some of subtlety and nuance is lost on me.

Personally, I'm still pretty shocked by the amount of boos from our fans on the rare occasions opposition players take the knees.  No one will ever convince this is some political conspiracy by BTM.  It's just veiled racism.

I knew Bristol Temple Meads were up to something.

    Hi folks

As I posted on the Post Hull thoughts thread in August, I was impressed with Bristol City performance at Hull, you deserved all three points imo! I thought Pring, Naismith & Knight stood out in that game.

I see only a point divides Leeds & Bristol City in the table. Are you playing well of late?

I'm expecting the robins having more to offer than our two previous home opponents Watford & QPR on Saturday. Naturally I'm hoping for three points but, I'm unconvinced we'll get them, even though Bristol City's record isn't good against Leeds, the result could go either way, that's the championship for you!

Really depends what City turns up on the day! It's either majestic or atrocious, there doesn't seem to be much middle ground at the moment. Crap at home, decent away.

Doesn't help that home games have all the atmosphere of a village bus stop on a Sunday evening.

Got a horrid feeling about tomorrow, can smell a 3-1 defeat.

“You’ve got to think about where you’re going to be, you sort of get in your own head, like you know you’ve got to think, ‘yeah, at this point I’m probably going to be still at Bristol City for the coming season’. It’s tough to get your head around things like that but thankfully the move did happen eventually".

    Disrespectful? Just me? Probably.

Might be a bad opinion, but I personally think Beale is a massive chancer and a fraud of a football manager.

Certainly a talented coach. Followed his career since he moved to Sao Paulo. Doesn't seem to have the personality to be a manager.

I did wonder whether we might stay over after Rotherham next Wednesday with Leeds next Saturday.

Surely a few nights in Yorkshire is a one way ticket to destroying all the good morale we've built up?!?
