  1. Good for him. Didn't do it for us. Move on...............
  2. Gives that and then the bastard denies us a stonewaller.
  3. Best wishes to the lad and his family and hope he makes a full recovery.
  4. We all know Zak’s issues at the level but what you say is the inconvenient truth RIGHT NOW which is why Zak is getting the higher number of minutes……….when his contract runs out he’s either got past his issues and finally fulfilled the promise he had or he will be gone assuming we are still in the Championship. Like I said previously Pearson is pragmatic in the short term but obviously has an eye on the longer term (otherwise he wouldn’t be using a very raw 17 year old left sided defender in pre season) and feels there is no need to can Vyner at the moment.
  5. Lets be fair, in his last appearance at this level Towler got handed his ass and looked absolutely miles off being ready. I realise youngsters improve but maybe he hasn't yet got to the standard where Pearson can ditch Vyner (not to mention he is left footed and wouldn't be played on the right hand side of a back three anyway).
  6. When I was getting stick for pointing out that the improvement in Goalkeeping hasn’t caught up with the outfield play in the women’s game I also pointed out at the same time that the Dutch keeper was one of the exceptions and the best in the tournament I had seen (albeit only their Nr 2 before it started). I’ll pick up my prize later……….
  7. Class delivery. I think you'll be one of the posters to watch this season!!
  8. Sounded like a great run out and nice but not overly important to come away with a win. Happy with that.
  9. Pearson is nothing if not pragmatic and the above will be a strong consideration.
  10. That team they've picked is a strong Championship side that would get obliterated in the Premier League most weeks AND they are a week behind us in preparation in effect. However as a final game for us to get the sharpness needed for next week I think we couldn't have picked a much better fixture tbh.
  11. As an example, if Williams gets crocked after 15 minutes next week then somebody else needs to be ready. Also if Williams gets crocked in the last 15 of this one and is out for 12 weeks we are all moaning about why did he need to be kept on to win a "meaningless" friendly at Bournemouth. It's that simple in pre=season.........a very useful kickabout nothing else.
  12. Pearson has got what he wanted out of the first hour and can give the younger lads minutes against Premier League (bottom end admittedly) players. For the 17 year old left back though it's fantastic experience. If we end up getting gubbed 2-1 or 3-1 so what....... I'm sure you get that......some won't.
  13. Great management....claim a 1-0 win when the "real" teams were out there and the rest of the match is a dead rubber unless we win 2-0.
  14. For those "practicing" losing their shit for when the real action starts these subs are an open goal...................... What is he doing?!!!!!!!!
  15. We know with Nige that if your attitude isn't on point you don't get minutes........not for very long anyway. His problem is concentrating fully for the WHOLE 96 minutes.
  16. True, a foot over the bar and down Bournemouth High Street……
  17. Great loan for him and his interview with them was very impressive, all about looking to learn from players and staff.
  18. I think there’s a strange obsession with the lad in comparison with others we have released. If we’d released him and he had his pick of six or seven clubs I could understand the general sentiment which seems to be we’ve made a monumental error releasing him. He could go on to prove the club wrong but if I was him I’d button it and get on with the job of proving it….,
  19. I think quite a few on here must know him or something.
  20. …………is definitely how it reads to fans who aren’t friends or family of his or his old man.
