  1. It’s a different type of frustration. At times last season a shot on target in a 45 minute half would have been a victory. We have now progressed to handing teams a point on a silver platter when we should have been at least two goals clear!!
  2. Nah, to be fair, three mistakes in one goal when you should have absolutely battered the opposition is hard to take. None of those lads are kids out of the Under 21’s. The staff will be livid with all three of them.
  3. King started it tbh. Ball played in midfield, all ******* day to turn and launch the ball FORWARDS and he goes back to Naismith. After that it was a total **** up. Pearson will be fuming.
  4. Atkinson today was probably his poorest game since he joined. Vyner should have done better on the goal BUT Naismith Wtf was that pass?
  5. What can you say? World beaters attacking and panel beaters defending?
  6. We’ve created four great chances this half and people want Nige to read the riot act and make half a dozen changes at half time? If he needs to shout anything it’s stick the bastard ball in the onion bag.
  7. I don’t know whether he’s a racist but vile human or not but his comment about your lot being pathological liars, when it comes to attendances, is spot on. How many did you take to Wembley again??
  8. Exactly this. There will be some games when we need Martin scrapping away up front and others where the pace of Wells, Conway and Semenyo will make the difference.
  9. If Spence was showing he could do what Conte requires he would get picked.
  10. What I like is the lads coming through are made of the right stuff and have the right attitude. No Billy Big Bollocks but no being overawed either. They all show the right balance of “out there because you deserve to be” without the “I’ve arrived” bullshit you get from a few who end up falling by the wayside. Conway was up against an out and out unit yesterday and took the game to him not allowing it to be the other way round.
  11. Switched off once yesterday but that was the Watters one on one. All he had to do was go with his man. He can see Watters making the run and Naismith can’t so why leave it to Naismith?!! If that was Grant or even one of our forwards on the end of that it’s 1-0. So frustrating because he has the tools to do the job.
  12. Atkinson will be rested. Complaining about his groin and needed “work” on it at half time. I can see 6-7 changes.
  13. Don’t forget he’s a young lad with plenty to learn and no doubt some of the better Managers at our level, analysts and the like will find a way to stop him for a few games. Let’s not revert to type and call him shit or a flash in the pan if he has 2-3 quiet games………..
  14. Apparently the Fewers bench were calling the Cowley’s Fraud PE Teachers……
  15. Yeah, but does he run towards adversity?
  16. To play a decent standard of mens football at 15 like Scott did for Guernsey against opponents who will snap you in two as soon as look at you if it gets them a win shows that the lad has always had the “attitude” required.
  17. True, but post 30 you have the knowledge of how to play the game in all situations. For example Klose was able to deal with Simms the other week whereas the other three got ripped apart by him despite being more physically able. That’s why you need balance not 11 young un’s or 11 old un’s.
  18. Like all younger players you’ve got to give them time. Not so long ago Semenyo was out of his depth, League 2 “at best” according to a few football geniuses on here.
  19. You do have to give Barton credit for one thing though - he has worked out their fanbase and literally has them on strings. Say the right things and nothing will ever be has fault as he strings £10K per week from Wally as long as he wants it or until a better offer comes along...........then the moon will be reached elsewhere!!
  20. Did you listen to the club channel interview? The nuanced view of that was that Nige was delighted with the way we played and enjoyed the performance...................if I sent a team of mine out playing some of the football we did last night I'd be trying to get supporters obsessing over that tbh not referees.
  21. 100%, incompetent refereeing yet again caused the whole mess. Unlike the robots on here who have 1000% control under all circumstances our lad lost his rag, let his passion boil over and got a red, At least he's got a bit of passion but as others have said we have two options to fill his position and it might cost him a game for more than the three matches.
  22. Superb and a shade better than the last time I saw him……
  23. As with most refs at our level they’re ok until a big decision comes along………
  24. Really enjoyed that. We played some lovely football at times and defended the last 20 comfortably in the circumstances. We kept the ball better for the most part and as a result we weren’t blowing out of our arsed at the end. Naismith looked like the player we think we’ve got, Vyner and Atkinson did their jobs and I really like Wells and Conway as a pairing. Great evening.
