  1. If I was in charge everyone would be given the day off today. Phones off, no access to e-mails, **** ‘em.
  2. Yeah, no doubt a fit and firing Kalas sees Vyner on the bench but overall he has done a very good job "filling in". We are a car crash waiting to happen at the back sometimes but the consistency in selection is also helping us to at least keep "some" clean sheets as opposed to "hardly any" last season. It's all moving forward atm!!
  3. That sums it up. The passes he plays into midfield make us a far better team that can play on the front foot and as a result we look like scoring loads of goals this season. We all know the downside and we also all know that if Naismith could do it all without any of the mistakes..................guess which club he wouldn't be playing for.
  4. There were a couple of occasions where he got done trying to "pinch" the ball and a couple of sloppy passes but overall a decent performance. Still trying to work out how we got through that 90 without conceding though!! That said I was always confident that if they equalised we would have gone up the other end and won the game at some point.
  5. After one or two games this season I just hope he turns up……….
  6. I made my opinion clear a few posts back. When you don't get the results you want you DO NOT go bagging fellow professional managers.......two weeks on the spin too. It's unprofessional and makes you look a right cock.
  7. Yep, a manager who actually WON something. As a club we don't do winning, it's generally second place when we get promoted. It wasn't only winning either, we absolutely steamrollered that division not to mention the added bonus of a great day out and Paint Brush Trophy win. Wasn't a nice enough human being to be given the opportunity to see the job through which is rather ironic when you consider that we are (correctly) allowing a "spiky" character the time needed to sort out the mess caused by a few lovely human beings...............
  8. You are literally one in a million lad. By that I mean out of one million Gas (conservative estimate excluding car park lock outs) you are literally the only one that can see good old Joey is a total ? regardless of results.
  9. From his interview today Nige doesn’t believe in rotating the forward line.
  10. What we are showing is that if the front three do the right things, make the right runs etc. they don’t need to be seen as the best individuals by others. Look at Conway in the last couple of weeks, one run where he peels to the far post, tap in, holds his position at the near post, free header, another run he attacks the near post, another tap in (albeit a great finish too). That movement and decision making, if he keeps it up, is a wide players dream because all they have to do is hit “areas”.
  11. I don’t take xG as fact but it wasn’t too long ago we would have been right at the bottom of that table.
  12. I want to see more from HNM. The talent is there and the time has come to make the next step and not “allow” some games to pass him by. It looks like hie is staying for now so I want to see a goal threat and assists output that at least matches Scott for example who wasn’t great himself Saturday but got an important assist and could and should have scored. If the lad wants to make the next step up and get regular minutes at that level he needs to add this to his game. Being energetic, skilful, neat and tidy is a good thing but he also needs to produce.
  13. We play the most “open” game in the Championship to suit the personnel available. I think that’s a plain fact. The obvious flaw in that strategy in terms of finishing top half of the league is we need better defensive players who make less individual errors to make it work. However if Nige can make it work “enough” to avoid looking over our shoulders I would take a mid table finish watching this style of football (and the frustrations that go with it) over anything that has preceded it over the last 5 years……..all day long. When the FFP situation eases there might be a lot to look forward to.
  14. You don't get 99 points, win home games 8-2, away games 6-0 and win at Wembley (in front of a GENUINE 40K+ following) by playing like that. Presumably this is all stuff that Joey has comfortably surpassed in his managerial career to date which, if so, does give him the right, to be fair, to ditch his usual humility and stick the proverbial knife into Steve. Either that or he is just a horrible little scouse bastard who is getting ahead of himself and indulging in a feeding frenzy for the benefit of some of your less intelligent supporters every time something goes against him.................two weeks in a row belittling fellow professional Managers, he's a ******* ***, lets be 100% fair and honest about it.
  15. Wonder if we’ll see another Club Statement from the Fewers? They were very critical of sexist comments from Barnsley fans towards their physio so I’m sure they will apply consistency at comments wishing death on a rival manager??
  16. He had cramp and we had made all three subs……
  17. To be fair you get the opportunity to decide YOURSELF whether to come on here and be an online punchbag (slight over reaction imo). No such luxury for City fans on Gaschat……
  18. The (Adams) Family club at it again……..
  19. On a positive isn’t it some sort of progress that people are criticising tactics compared to 12 months ago (rightfully at the time) mentioning how shit we are? Because this time last season we were ******* dire to watch.
  20. To be fair Klose’s poor header at Hull and Bentley’s flap at Wigan were not tactical. They were out and out mistakes. Sunderland I’ll agree, we were shambolic at the back all game. Today the main change I would have made was Wilson for Andi in the last 15 but you cannot excuse the goal whatever the criticism of tactics.
  21. ……..and who enjoys giving up their Saturday watching a team get battered every game and literally stealing a point or three? It’s a laugh now and again.
  22. Now to 12 months ago is chalk and cheese. Back then we couldn’t even compete in games and we’re scrapping for EVERY point. Now we are on the front foot in games, carry a genuine threat going forward and are frustrated at getting a point away rather than thankful we got one.
  23. Crazy pen and a poor defensive header at Hull, how many mistakes could a team make at the back in one game v Sunderland, Bentley fresh air punching a corner at Wigan and Naismith primarily culpable out of three mistakes for the equaliser today. Senior players making individual errors costing us points. Is that wrong?
  24. You would have thought that what you said above was so obvious it didn’t need to be said but…….,
