  1. The number of no shows is never usually as high as the mood on here dictates but I can see us just about hitting 10k season tickets next season with crowds of 14-16k being the norm. Another poor season of football will be the straw that breaks the camels back the following season imo. The next transfer window is where Nige earns his corn imo.
  2. We don’t, they can’t even pass the ******* ball. That’s not tactical, it’s lack of technical ability.
  3. More Bristol kids are playing for us than Chelsea or Southampton or than even get released by Chelsea and Southampton and make it elsewhere. Surely that means we have actually picked the best kids? How many Bristol lads of the age of Scott, Bell, Conway and Benarous are making it at a higher level than us?
  4. When players make 90 minutes of poor decisions, coming odd second best in tackle after tackle, and week in week out fail to hit even a measly 60% pass completion what you have is poor players rather than an amazing squad being mismanaged. Could our defensive structure be better, of course, but this notion that we have a decent squad is bonkers. I haven’t heard one single pundit describe us as under performing, not one.
  5. Based on the last four years I am assuming their roles are to manage the club in a way that ensures we get to watch the lowest value for money football in the entire football league……….regardless of that many fans who have less understanding than you will decide to keep their hands in their pockets so whatever the misunderstanding is they aren’t carrying out their roles very successfully.
  6. Getting on for 20 goals in a side as poor as us would need some price tag attached to consider getting rid though!!!
  7. All that requires a clear plan, bravery to stick with the plan if things go wrong, a structure where changing the Manager doesn’t change the plan. A club of our means needs to be best in class at extracting value for money because we’ve got no money. Where is the person at BCFC who can deliver that? We do have a bloke that’s been in charge for over 20 years and with the best of intentions and the guts to put his money forward has tried more cunning plans than Baldrick and failed at every turn. People thinking all it needs is a change of Manager every six months until we get one who delivers a few results just aren’t thinking straight and are missing the root cause of the mess we are in.
  8. Stable ownership? Do you mean shut the stable door after the horse has bolted? Any Manager worth his salt will want a budget and our offering is “we’re skint, on the verge of a points deduction and you get the few pennies left after we have sold the family silver”. They might then think “ok, let’s watch a few videos of what I would be inheriting” and if yesterday was one of them they would think we have a full squad of poor decision makers with so little bollocks that we have to make the Goalkeeper our Captain. That should get top managerial talent forming an orderly queue around the block??
  9. You can’t just change a club mindset without the owner buying into it. Otherwise you just end up with poor little lambs on £20k per week running to the owner at the first sign of conflict (that’s what it will need in some cases) and rinse and repeat.
  10. For me the best player to sell in terms of decent fee whilst losing the least amount of measurable “end product” is Massengo hands down…..if anyone is prepared to pay what we need.
  11. He’s got to stay. Take his goals out this season and we would have been screwed.
  12. We go on the metric of previous Championship managerial experience such as appointing Dean Holden……people were foaming at the mouth tbf. I think the owner nicked LJ’s tombola and chose it that way.
  13. Whereas we charge over £600 in some parts of the ground for piss poor football throughout ??
  14. Unfinished business? I would imagine it will be finished business for many if Lansdown brought him back.
  15. It’s simple, either the owner gives Nige (or someone else if he’s not keen on Nige) total authority to change the club mentality from top to bottom or the owner really needs to **** off after 20 years of achieving **** all outside bricks and mortar.
  16. As they both caused this shit show how can they not accept it? It’s their fault, 1000%, the ******* mess we are in.
  17. Bentley was a 6/10 (his kicking was the usual snow and backspin rubbish otherwise worth a 7). None of the rest deserved a 6, quite a few deserved a 4. James and Williams would be lucky to get a 3 each on that effort today.
  18. I'm renewing simply because I go with a relative but I must admit I am not a million miles away from saying "**** it" and doing some groundhopping on a Saturday where you have no emotional investment and can just sit back, stress free, and if a game's good then great and if it's total shite like today then great!! The football that we have played over three or four seasons now has generally been so bad that it's criminal and for the club to then raise season ticket prices simply tells you how much contempt they have for supporters. From what I understand Bristol Rugby are charging their supporters less next season..................
  19. You are being too literal tbh. My point is that had Ashley had Steve Lansdown's means and invested the same amount of money we would have been a Premier League club at some point long before now. In fact I would go as far to say that with the current owner running things we will never ger near it, save for a one in ten year fluke season that we had with GJ, because we aren't ran properly. Our financial plan has been proven to be nuts and now we have a number of years of paying the price to look forward to for the gross incompetence of a financial wizard.
  20. ........not only let Swiss wreak havoc but then told us fans what a great bloke he was and didn't know what we were talking about. Swiss, on the other hand, like all blaggers, knew exactly what was around the corner and couldn't wait to get out.
  21. If you are correct then you have to ask who keeps on appointing crap Managers? It all boils down to the same person taking responsibility for the mess we are in. The bloke calling the shots does not have the first clue in how to get this football club moving in the right direction on a sustained basis. Once in every 10 years we get a good season the rest of it is just mundane bollocks and over the last three years the football has been so bad that many people don't even attend for the football anymore, it's more of a social for many.
  22. I said it in another thread, we were literally 90 minutes of poor decision after poor decision today.
  23. I agree that Steve Lansdown has no Premier League relegations on his CV..............chance would be a fine thing. Ashley also appointed Rafa Benitez and pissed the Championship and his "crime" was t run the club on a fairly sound financial footing. Whereas we have been run as a total basket case, something Nige literally took the piss out of as it happens, and seem to be turning the corner now it's almost too late. Like I said give the bloke £150m to spend and we would have had a season or three in the Premier League. Perhaps you might explain what Steve's billions are doing for us off the back of three of the most dull seasons of football I've ever seen......is that what I wanted? Wow.
  24. I would suggest that had Mike Ashley spent £150m on Bristol City we would have seen Premier League football in a lot less than 20 plus years and counting?
  25. It’s got everything to do with the owner. Look beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch and you realise that we are a total mess……HIS club remember.
