  1. Clearout? All he did was reduce a bloated squad in size and brought in King (injured), James (injured), Atkinson (injured), (Tanner injured) and re-signed Weimann and Baker (injured). So five of his better squad players aren't fit and we are left with other players who are still in contract but are clearly not good enough having to be picked every week alongside promising youngsters and a few of his preferred players. If Steve loses his bollocks and pushes the button on Pearson what you are seeing now will be the beginning not the end of the slide.
  2. I would argue that if we had our best back four available (Baker is in that but we all know he can't be picked and he will be replaced next season) I think the recent improvements in attacking play would have seen us picking up more points and we would have been easily mid table by now. But we don't have that luxury and one or two of the players that have been given a fantastic opportunity have literally ****** up their career at this level.
  3. If you have to somehow "give" players desire or bribe them to show desire then you have the wrong players in your squad.
  4. I think one in particular has now used up his number of chances to improve.
  5. He's given people more than their fair share of chances to put things right/improve their game. I think, if anything, he has been too generous but mainly due to the injury situation. If you keep bollocking people or keep putting you arm around people or a mixture of the two and 20 games later they are STILL MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES week in and week out then there is clearly no way of improving them. Today certainly comes across as one defensive shitshow too far and changes have to be made.
  6. My view is Vyner isn't confused. He knows what he is MEANT to be doing but his issue is 90% of the time he can do it and the other 10% of the time he loses focus and that leads to us losing football matches. Look at their equalising goal today - you can't tell me that due to instructions given to him Vyner was confused whether to cut out the mishit shot or not, no he just fell asleep and it's a goal. It's infuriating and despite what I said on this thread earlier I am coming to the conclusion that Zac needs to be bombed out of the squad ALTOGETHER for now and let's see Robbie Cundy have a go until we get Atkinson fit again.
  7. No, it's not all Zac Vyner as you say. The injury situation has been disappointing and I thought would have improved more than it has tbh (although will never be as bad as it was with that clown Rolls in charge). How many games have we had anything even resembling a full strength squad to pick from? More work needs to be done on that score, that's for sure. I would go as far to say we need to somehow balance the books and bring in a new Goalkeeper and three defenders. Whether we can get rid of the likes of Vyner/O'Leary or Bentley/O'Dowda is another matter though and doesn't make it easy to balance those books if we can't.
  8. It will get addressed................with different players. You can coach the likes of Vyner to death but clearly he just hasn't got it at the level. The issue is with the injuries we've got we can't just bomb him out at the moment (do you think he would be anywhere near a game had Baker and Atkinson been fit?).
  9. Which games have we lost due to lack of motivation. When have you seen our lot "not trying"?
  10. People don't seem to have the understanding and patience to realise that. Next season when Pearson gets the chance to change things a little, albeit still on a budget, if we are still producing the same failings then Pearson will be fair game. I am still amazed that having lost £38m in the last set of accounts there are still people on this forum who genuinely think if they shout loud enough Steve will make the financial position even worse and sack Pearson. It's laughable.
  11. That doesn't make them unprofessional, it simply means they aren't good enough. Until we have certain players players fit again or one or two youngsters "more ready" we don't have anything to replace them with. Vyner will not be anywhere near our first team next season - guaranteed.
  12. Well yeah, fancy signing players when you know they are going to be injured...................
  13. Rubbish. That was last season's squad. This season's squad work hard but lack talent in the main, Zac Vyner being the prime example - he can't concentrate for toffee but you can never accuse him of lacking motivation. He's just crap at this level and we don't have anything either fit or ready to replace him.
  14. You don't know what a happy clapper is you bellend. What we do know is you revel in us conceding goals and losing, absolutely love it.
  15. You're not shocked, you are delighted. Made your weekend that has.
  16. It's only hilarious if you miss the point. He has to look at the big picture and if the alternative to Vyner isn't ready to be pitched in yet then there is no alternative.
  17. Would have taken a point at 1pm and would definitely take one now.
  18. Exactly that. You can't just go throwing people in the side like it's a game of Football Manager. Pearson knows exactly what kind of player Vyner is and that has to be dealt with at the end of the season.
  19. In pro football someone else making a mistake doesn't excuse you making a mistake to compound the situation. The problem is that Vyner makes mistake after mistake. I've seen him have good games completely ruined by 2 seconds of lapsed concentration. When you do that game after game the only conclusion you can draw is he simply doesn't have the concentration levels to do well in Championship football. Shame but there's only one person who could have changed that.
  20. It was and to those who blame it on coaching or lack of you are wrong. Unfortunately the ONLY way to reverse defending like that is change some of the players.
  21. Miles offside, two yards offside, offside by at least a foot................onside, onside by at least a foot, two yards onside, miles onside etc. etc.
  22. Was there a player you couldn't see playing him on? That's often the case when it seems that obvious.
  23. The only thing I would say is that if Derby survive they have survived within the rules that docked them 21 points and you can't knock them for that. The same rules that "might" (might not assuming we make at least one large sale in the Summer) see us docked 6 points and have to go from there...................if people disagree with Derby's right to stay up then points deductions would need to be 75 points to make 100% sure!!
  24. 100%..........in the circumstances this year, given the ridiculous inconsistency in performances, the awful news re: FFP off the field, fans KNOWING that 14th-18th is our bag I think the backing from the stands has been phenomenal on the whole. I can think of a lot bigger clubs than us (the Basket Case that just sacked Johnson for one) where there would have been uproar, mutiny and fan demonstrations not the equivalent of S82 getting right behind the lads every week.
