Fulham away match day thread

Not sure why there is no man on the far post for the fourth goal. Don't like that set up tbh and it is up to the Keeper to decide.. -

Why don't you all have a look at that third goal properly? I agree Vyner should have stepped inside and blocked the shot BUT had he done so Mitrovic would have been played in because KALAS wasn't even in the same ******* postcode. Some of you are ******* idiots. -

Drawing 2-2 away at a Fulham side that are way better than us and won their last game 7-0 and you haven't said ONE SINGLE POSITIVE THING so far. Well done lad. -

Correct, the only sensible pre-game conclusion is we’ll get done today. Fulham are a far better side than us there’s no doubt about that. But you watch the dozen usual suspects who only turn up when it goes wrong crying like little babies on here later if the expected does happen. I can’t for the life of me work out whether it’s because they are weak minded individuals who never played the game and therefore can’t deal with losing or whether they just genuinely hate the club. This is a very tough game. Can we compete with them at their place after they’ve just demolished Reading by seven in a similar manner to the way we competed at ours last week? That’s what I’m looking at rather than the score line tbh. -
I’ll put the house on that then…..
-
Exactly. Football isn't a one dimensional game. I've seen Man City score goals where Ederson has picked a 70 yard pass out...... who can say that is wrong. However this 50/50 nonsense spouted in the original post is way off the mark. That is why we have been better in the last 3-4 games.....because we have mixed our play up a bit rather than playing the predictable longer ball game that the original poster seems so keen to reintroduce. I'm guessing it's down to both the Manager and players having the confidence to mix it up now together with O'Leary coming in and playing a risker possession game than Bentley does. Also agree that sideways and backwards for 57 passes in your own half is no better than just lumping it.

Reading v Fulham worth a watch on tuesday night?
Numero Uno replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
Agreed................ -
Tidy side, nothing up front though. We would have a chance of keeping a clean sheet against them……

Don’t miss Comoros v Gabon tonight. Will be the game of the tournament…..:

Bobby Reid has had one good season in his whole career after we stood by him during a few poor ones and couldn’t wait to **** off when it went right for him. I believe he’s scored less goals since ******* off than he did in his only good season in professional football. What’s he really done since? I wouldn’t boo personally but why the **** Matt Withers is in tears about him I couldn’t tell you.

I’m guessing the ten charities that signed up including Idris Elba’s charity must have some reason for doing so?
-
Many footballers do put their hands in their pockets and donate significant sums of money and time to charity, as does Idris Elba tbf. What they don’t do is tell all and sundry because the same people rinsing them for “not” doing it despite not really knowing would call them “big time” if they shouted it from the rooftops. Plus, like it or not, it’s their money and their business.

I want to see something in place that means if Managers and/or CEO’s change we have a plan for the next person to implement, what we have had in the last 20 years is an Owner who makes it up as he goes along or allows others to do so such as Swiss whose tenure here bordered on criminal. Whether we had a good season in 2017-18 is irrelevant to that aim.

It is, when perspective isn’t a consideration. Anyway, no need to reply as I can’t be arsed to and won’t get into all that negative shit on a Sunday?
-
Steve can’t afford to sack him, Steve can’t be arsed to sack him, Steve ain’t sacking him. That might disappoint you but you (and a few others) really need to accept that and deal with it.

We lost because in normal time COD misses a sitter for a player of his ability. The point is, like it or not, when you are building like we are getting the level of performance consistent and right comes first then you trust that results take care of themselves. Returning to the post Wolves LJ period of stealing points (getting battered and winning) is not along term sustainable solution which has literally been proven over the last 18 months.

If that’s how black and white you see it I would suggest Man City is the team for you.

Same league with the backing of tens of millions of parachute payments you total dick…whilst, because of the Fun Boy 3 (Swiss, Stevie and Junior), we don’t have a ******* pot to piss in. Are you deliberately thick or just genuinely stupid?
