  1. Or perhaps they have some decent players and will inevitably have a spell in the game.
  2. And, even as a Bristol City fan, I would be exactly the same once I had got myself established and the next step was to progress my career. Play for a club for 15 years where the Owner is taking us nowhere for £10K per week or earn serious dosh that sets you up for life in the Premiership......now let me think.
  3. Each to their own tbf and there is no wrong answer. However one club in our city had seven former academy graduates starting last week. I would imagine for many parents that would have a bearing. Whether we have that conversion rate because we are unfriendly and intense who knows?!!
  4. Yeah, that's a joke and as I've said before meant that a fellow player (Delph) was also named and shamed on social media of the issue in question at the time.
  5. Sam Bell has got football intelligence that I would suggest Semenyo didn't have at the same age. Whether he can convert that into appearances and goals at Championship level remains to be seen. Bur certainly unfair to compare him to others in a negative way when the kid has barely played.
  6. I agree, we have a pretty mediocre/inexperienced squad but competition for places will squeeze the most out of it. Shoot me if I'm wrong but I can see Bentley coming back a lot closer to his form of last season when he gets his place back in due course.........and if he doesn't get it back then it's because O'Leary is doing the job required anyway.
  7. Up there with Peter ******* Sutcliffe tbh..................
  8. Very good. I'm sure you would have been the big hardcase and told her to **** off.................
  9. "It's all wrong.......we've even got inter club supporter marriages now...........where will it all end? There will be a civil war soon, mark my words, all started by Bristol City FC and it's "day tripper" fans. Personally, I refuse to even look at opposition fans let alone live with them"....... The laughable thing though is that there are way too many people who think you are only a proper fan if you display that famed "edginess" at a game. Otherwise, the same people who would get all offended, uppity, defensive and probably start crying if you called them a hooligan will call you a day tripper.
  10. Shouldn't have let you in and you deserved a right kicking......................soft as shit up in Scotland.
  11. At a time when the club are posting £38m losses I doubt they are too keen to turn a Coventry City neutral away for wearing their shirt (which was probably covered at the point of entry anyway). I must admit that when I've been away from home and fancied taking in a match as a neutral I've never worn a City shirt to the game but it isn't something to get overly worked up about imo.
  12. Agree 100%. You are the only one that get's it these days. Any decent fan would have walked over, given her a bit of a slap and then told her to **** off back to the Kitchen. Proper old school behaviour we need more of in society.......and then nodded in appreciation as you gave them a standing ovation (at roughly the same point that the Feds were leading them away and processing the 3 year football banning order).
  13. What he does is think of ideas that seem to make sense and differ from what the Manager is currently doing and then make them vague enough so that when his view turns out to be complete and utter bollocks he can counter with "I didn't suggest that". As we all know the issue with youngsters who have the ability is that one week they are a world beater the next a panel beater. You get the odd special talent that quickly overcomes the inconsistency phase and starts to look a cut above........we all know who that is. It's been that way since the beginning of time. You also get the odd kid who totally rips up the rule book like Rooney who was doing it in the Prem at just 16 and people use the likes of him to mistakenly think "if you're good enough you're old enough" without realising what a monster of a kid you really have to be to do it at that level at that age.
  14. Think that's a harsh call tbh. Did you think that Alex Scott was YEARS AWAY when Pearson dragged him off after 25 minutes of one game earlier in the season?
  15. Another term for that is he is a know-all bullshitter.
  16. Ok, every person in the ground more or less who would have made the correct decision and given the penalty was guessing and only the ref did the right thing by not giving it despite it being a stonewall penalty. Are you Mike Jones?
  17. You do many reasonably minded people a disservice and tbh seem hugely over protective of referees for whatever reason. QPR fans blow your theory out of the water because I’ve yet to see a comment from them saying it wasn’t a penalty. They all knew they had got away with one, it happens. It was a clear penalty from all angles imo and the angle behind the goal merely proved everyone correct. If the referee was in a shite position and couldn’t see it then that’s on him alone and summed up his dreadful night. Referees make bad mistakes at times and that was a very bad mistake and supporters are entitled to vent their frustrations. However every one of the 99% of people supporting either side who called the decision correctly at the ground seem to have got lucky in your view?
  18. I think both Towler and Benarous play on Saturday in the cup match. Get yesterday out of the system in an unimportant match in the grand scheme of things. I don’t think you are being harsh on O’Leary at all. He has shown us he can deal with high balls and that ball was in the air a long time, as good as the cross was. He dealt with tougher situations than that cross very well yesterday such as the cross he held when getting battered by two players.
  19. Funny how 90% of the people in attendance never had that view yet KNEW it was a penalty. Sometimes referees have shit games that can’t be defended.
  20. Yeah, Murray Wallace was almost apologetically beating him up (like sorry mate I know you’re going to be a player but it’s my job)……..
  21. True. QPR were interesting in that some of their lads stood and applauded and some took the knee, obviously given a choice rather than a co-ordinated team response.
  22. I wouldn’t blame any single person, we just defended that goal badly throughout!!
  23. He was right though. Our lot were on the beach for months. However a fellow pro shouldn’t be mouthing off to the press even if it’s so obvious. Funny how these things bite you on the arse though……..
  24. Next game is the cup game so you give Max another outing then there may be a decision to make. When that happens don’t forget to tag me for being right…….
