  1. not on a conscious level, but the “general feeling” of the country starts by what those at the top are doing and filters down sadly, at the moment that’s self entitlement, selfishness and law breaking the world generally going to shite probably also not helping. I think it’s a combination of the above, fame and social media culture and the fact going to the football at the moment - more than before seems to be very much a SESH thing for some people (drink and drugs)
  2. Didn’t bait you or rise to you just suggested it’s off topic. Which it is how is what you said related to a footballer declaring his homosexuality.
  3. Again, totally different discussion and off topic
  4. Actually enjoyed that, nice one
  5. Social media truly is a cess pit
  6. I hate to tell you this.. but if you have used a public pool, you've probably undressed in front of a gay man and probably still in their w*nkbank
  7. its an interesting question, for wider society but its inclusion in this topic you have to admit is a little dodgy and provocative. A sexual interest in minors clearly has nothing to do with hetro or homosexuality of consenting adults. first time ive heard of the term MAP but I have heard of the condition before and do genuinely feel sorry for people who have these inclinations as they need help but to liken it to.. ..actually do you know what its a stupid question and doesn't need a response. I tried.
  8. I think the reaction is probably fairly judged to the lunacy of the question
  9. Yeh no willingness at all was there, very uncomfortable
  10. Completely agree and for the vast majority of people it isn’t an issue. However there are taboos to break in football for sure.. while this guy is not a world or even local superstar yet he is in the public eye, so he probably felt he could not live his life without a ‘coming out’ because otherwise it would be done for him while he was just trying to be himself away from football and maybe not in the way he would have liked. You wouldn’t bat an eyelid twice at a black player now but that was not the case before, same with a player who just happens to be gay. They are just starting that journey now in industry where meaningful or causal homophobia is still rife tolerated Jordan before as some of his insight into running a club has been interesting but that was summit else
  11. Wow did anyone just hear Simon Jordan going off on this? Bizarre undoubtably just trying to be contrary but he went in two footed on fashnus niece who was on the show to celebrate this brave move jordan was trumpeting “I don’t care if he’s gay, it’s his business why do we need to know?” Which was pretty upsetting to listen to. perfect world, this isn’t a thing of course but for that knob to fail to understand why this is a brave and important thing to do in the sphere of football is absolutely maddening
  12. Is that the only metric? And is it true? physicality will always be a difference so will always be hard to truly compare quality (I presume you mean likelihood of winning a head to head) nor does anyone really need to find that out a club the size of Chelsea (as a combined entity as well) along with what the woman’s team compete for in their competitions means it absolutely would be a step down to take charge of FGR for a coach of her standing
  13. nothing about what I have said indicates I am offended, you’ve not hurt me I just find your ignorance and pettiness, real or otherwise to be remarkable. Against my better judgement I always try to put forward reasonable arguments to try and at least reduce some of the subjugation in the world but I know piers Morgan probably tell you that is somehow reducing your human rights Even if you are just trolling I am incredibly sad for you. *replaced bigotry with subjugation although often two sides of the time the needless comments ALWAYS thrown in on this forum when the woman’s game is even causally mentioned contribute to the continued subjugation of woman in a desperate attempt to maintain the status quo, surely we can all agree there is no place for that in 2022
  14. boxing. Flyweight, middleweight, etc etc.. they all have the best in the world in their classes but you’d never discredit one weight class against another because they have their differences but it’s same game at the end of the day. Chelsea woman’s are one of the best teams in the world, and have a chance at winning anything they are in - FGR mens team is a step down for her but there is more at play here than that I fear you are most likely to old to do so however I know the world is really scary these days but grow up mate.
  15. Despite his bluster and banter you do get the impression he is a real football fan that does extend beyond just supportIng Man U
  16. It was entirely implied that he was referring to the best woman’s team but why you felt compelled to go out of your way to point that out is beyond all comprehension but not unexpected from some people on this forum every time the unspeakable thought of woman playing football is raised
  17. If your referring to guardian football weekly then he is superb on that, would like to see them add a few more ‘head screwed on’ ex pros to their rotation like nedum to compliment the top contributors they have. Lars sivertson and philippe Auclair in particular are brilliant. If UK tv wasn’t so obsessed with names there are plenty of reporters out there who would do 10x the job on analysis rather than the glib rubbish we see most of the time
  18. Fair play to them, that result last week was incredible. Scunthorpe were down and out and facing non league, likely going to lose all the senior players from this year and surely good riddance to them as they have performed so poorly, nothing to play for for them why not field the kids FGR, Exeter and rovers into league 1. Good for the SW when we have been an established championship club bar two season for the last 14 years why waste the time getting salty I have no idea although their manager really should be in jail
  19. He best be careful he doesn’t become a sex offender then as your comment on vegetarians suggested
  20. What a strange thing and needlessly offensive thing to say
  21. wow, shame bernard manning is dead. you could have sold him this corker
  22. not sure it is effort actually, more down to skill.. not technical ability -he clearly has that in spades but he cant put that into something productive in the championship and other parts of his game are clearly lacking. Hes a big unit, not likely to be 'athletic' like a weinman so I dont mistake his lack of tracking, positioning to do with effort as you can work around those things with nouse. I think its just skill. He does not have the right skills to succeed at championship level

    Downsy

In terms of overall equality that we all (right?) strive for, no it probably isn't appropriate - however to use it as a stick to beat the feminism cause (or equality cause lets say) is wrong. Mis steps in the strive for equality does not give old fashioned values regarding woman the right to continue
  24. christ, need a couple of eggs and chips for the amount of gammon in this thread
