  1. Not much success??? A lot of us can remember top tier football at Ashton Gate, and for a few seasons we more than held our own. Something a lot of our fans nowadays are unlikely ever to see in their lifetime. (Think about that) Seeing Bristol City play and beat a full strength Man Utd team home and away, winning away at Arsenal in our first game in the top flight.. beating Liverpool, beating Spurs and sending them down I could go on. Now we have Manningball and we’re all supposed to be glasses half full even though we all know our glasses are bone dry.
  2. Perhaps we should play against the cream of the south west to get numbers in and fan engagement… Cheltenham, FGR, Plymouth, Exeter, Manor Farm etc. Can’t think of anyone else that I may have missed..
  3. Tommy for sure, just not by us unfortunately.
  4. Maybe not, but these days we can have five subs and really change, or further strengthen the state of play. What a great position to be in.
  5. And my point was that although given their league position we should be beating Huddersfield at home, unlike Leeds we only had 9 shots vs 13.. Leeds have largely been unlucky, I thought Huddersfield were the better side against us. Unfortunately I think that you’re right on Manning, and if you read my post properly where have I said he’s going anywhere fast? Lucky not to have already gone though in my opinion. And if I do need to eat humble pie, then that’ll be a good thing for all of us, right?
  6. Wrong, I was 100% in Nige’s camp, but just like Alex Scott he’s now gone and we moved on. If anything it was another Manning vs Entertaining Football diatribe.
  7. As you’ve just done by the way, if you disagree with a post, view or opinion then why not offer a response? I didn’t use the ‘P’ word and those two games did actually happen earlier this season which is a fair and valid response to the main point of the CNG post.
  8. During that excellent showing in the early stages of this Oxford season we put nine past them over two games. Still one of the football worlds biggest ever mysteries why we then decided to swap our coaching team for theirs???
  9. Leeds haven’t won in their last three games, losing 2-1 at Coventry they had 19 shots to Coventry 11, in the 0-0 against Sunderland they had 12 shots versus 6.. against Blackburn they lost having 19 shots versus 3. To compare our plight versus that of Leeds is as ridiculous as is your support for Manning and the way that he has us ‘playing’. Be honest with yourself at least, it’s been pretty poor and if it were not for Max we would have been humiliated a good few times and he would have been long gone by now.

Correct.. went to school there with his sister Denise.
  11. I think the Rotherham keeper came in at around # 32
  12. Think you’ll find the his preferred position is RB..
  13. Good and well deserved recognition there for Max.. it would have taken a lot of votes to make that list. I’m guessing there would have been approx 1,000 eligible players to chose from?
  14. Well in fairness, SL’s keen on taking everybody else’s money too.. And if you have an asset that you’d like to sell at way above true market value then you really should ensure that you properly service, grow and maintain it.
  15. I’ll split the difference.. “how on earth did we manage to draw with Huddersfield”.
  16. What if, and it’s possible, we lose at home to Rotherham? We’re playing Manningball, they’ve not won a single game away from home in the championship this season and are already relegated… Jamo, Williams and Kingy will likely have been told that they’re surplus to requirements for our promotion push next term… What could possibly go wrong? Surely then SL would have to pipe up and be seen to be managing his business?
  17. Don’t forget Leeds falling apart again..
  18. Too young to have failed? What planet are you on he got the arse from MK Dons… I suppose you could argue that he managed to hang in there for just over a year which given what we’ve witnessed to date is quite a feat.
  19. No beer, no food, certainly not much on the entertainment front… all he needs is a seat next to you and he’s got the lot.
  20. Go on then, I’ll bite… Why on earth would you trust Liam’s judgement?
  21. You’ve got to tell a few white lies these days to get a job…
  22. We support the same club and ultimately want the same thing… however the Sunderland game a few days before the extraordinary Blackburn game and yesterday a few days later were frankly very, very poor performances . Beating Swansea in another low quality game and Plymouth may have assisted putting us top of a form table.. but you can’t unsee the performances, people are entitled to be offside. We all want to see the green shoots that you mention, and I know I’m going over it again, but ironically that was exactly what a lot of the us were beginning to see at the start of this season and then for reasons most of us will never understand it all changed.
  23. Thing is there’s nothing much different being dished up on the pitch week on week, we’re watching the same dross over and over and over again.. there’s nothing being offered by the club performance wise to change the narrative. And if the changes to the squad over the summer are modest as we are being led to believe and not wholesale, why should we remotely believe LM will be able to deliver anything different next term? It’s friggin depressing, I can’t get why you don’t see that?
  24. I still think it’s end of season at home against Huddersfield and even more so if he’s composed and mature for his age, what else can he do? Anyway it’s a moot point and just my opinion too.
