Not a surprising development. Bristol CC are just saying that they are prepared to go to court to defend their approval of the application.

It still may not end up "in court". Assuming ETM aren't bluffing, the JR claim will now be sent to court, and a judge will decide whether or not it will go to a full hearing.

It could be thrown out in a matter of weeks, or worst case, goes to a full hearing and they'll be a delay of many months/years.

    Lets hope you're right.

This is BCC after all and everything they touch is a farce, so why would this be different?

Right.. my away shirt came today. Finally thought O'Neills got one right…

    Quality is awful…

Badge has scratches on it out of the package.

The sown on O’Neills logo is fraying and pulls in the fabric around it.

The fabric itself is like that shiny old football kit fabric.

And the main problem which made me laugh out loud. They’ve stuck the badge on at the wrong angle! ?

Anybody defending this brand. Just hold one in your hands and you’ll get it. It’s so bad there’s no way we will be with them for that long. £50 quid!!!

    Embarrassing really.

For all the SL bashing and theorising on what he's planning to do with the club, despite his wealth it must be totally gutting for him to have spent the amounts he has on infrastructure and covering the debts every season that all he has achieved is to have got us out of league 1.

A billionaire running a reasonably sized club in a big city has only managed to get us from League 1 to the Champ and even there we've only been in the playoffs once and that was a season when nobody was expecting us to even get in the playoffs.

From a business it has been a failure. SL wanted PL football and that dream has died. The quicker we accept the club will never achieve top flight football and will bounce between champ and league 1 the happier and care free we can be.

  4. It seems the longer we stay in this league the smaller club we become and unable to compete. Is it we just have to admit we will never reach the Prem and be happy with mid table every season and playing 'unable to compete football' or be near the top of league 1? We have some great youngsters at the club which don't cost the earth but not many sides in sports win anything with youngsters. It's a real conundrum for those in charge and I don't envy them ?
