It was very frustrating to concede from a corner after the sending off. Even though Baker is one of our tall defenders, surely going down to ten men shouldn't affect our ability to defend a set piece?
-
Very depressing. First half we looked ok. It was obviously a mistake not to take Baker off at ht - he was lucky to stay on in the first half. Having said that goodness knows what Baker was doing out wide when he did commit that foul for the second yellow.
Agard and Freeman were ineffective. Smith and Reid played well.
Getting some new blood in Jan is essential.

Very apprehensive about today's game, after the poor display at Rotherham another defeat could be a disaster for morale and confidence. Blackburn have Rhodes and fear he might be the key difference between the sides today - hope I'm wrong and we can start strong and take the lead, as can't see us coming back it we fall behind.
This is exactly how I felt this morning. A couple of beers has fortified me and given me more hope.

Hopefully to us not them!

What a horrendous result. Perhaps an element of complacency going into the game today with the talk of the play offs from the players?
I wasn't at the game but it seems like the usual failings, i.e. wasting chances and weak defending.
We have bounced back from a bad performance before (e.g. beating Wolves after that horrible Fulham game) so I wouldn't be surprised if we picked up three points next game, but there is no doubt we are struggling - only 3 wins so far says it all.
Hopefully we can dig in over the next few games and pick up some points before improving the team in Jan. I'm not holding my breath after the fiasco of the summer, but we have to hold onto some hope!
Tough few months ahead.

Really hope we win today but I've got a feeling it will be a draw.

Can't stand them. That's why their misfortunes of recent years have been so funny.

I did have a look but it proved too hard. And I'm too sleepy and lazy to look harder. Palace and Cardiff is my suggestion though. Those two results made us think we were ace. We weren't.
Yes it was Palace and Cardiff. I remember thinking we'd avoid a relegation battle after those games. How wrong I was.
Today's game could be tough. Bolton will be desperate to win to avoid being marooned in the relegation zone. Our players must avoid complacency and maintain the discipline they showed against Wolves. A win would be great but my hunch is it will be a draw.

That was an important win and another clean sheet. Also another bogey team laid to rest. COYR

Glad Agard is being given a chance.
Fingers crossed for a good result and performance. This is an unpredictable season so goodness knows what tonight's game will bring. It would be good to beat Wolves for a change.
-
It must be over 10 years since we have beat them away, so we are due a win there. My first away game was at Cardiff in 1989 when we beat them 3-0. More of the same would be good tonight. COYR

A very welcome three points. I thought we looked really good in the first half. In the second half we sat back too much for my liking, but we still had the best chances to score. Glad for Wilbs that he scored after his poor performance last time but I imagine he'll kick himself for not getting the hat trick. It's good to be off the bottom of the table and now we are unbeaten in three games, so we are starting to put a run together.

I have now just about recovered from the anguish of the MK Dons game and am looking forward to an evening match. Maybe we can get that home win at last. COYR

Yes I heard the callers on the radio talking about the formation as well. Unlike other games where we have been so open and vulnerable to the counter attack I don't think today's performance can be blamed on the formation - just rank bad play.
-
Well, words almost fail me after that second half. I thought we looked ok in the first half against a very poor looking MK side but after half time the players just seemed to stop. Our inability to keep possession meant the equaliser was always on the cards and playing against a decent side we would have been murdered. At times it was almost as if we were doing anything we could to give the ball away.
On top of having a paper-thin squad we now have a team lacking in confidence. SC has a lot of work to do to sort this out.
-
Fingers crossed for 3 points. It will be a tough game because after their bad run they'll be desperate to avoid defeat. My gut instinct is telling me a draw, but then again I thought we'd beat Reading so who knows.

Looking forward to the game today. Really hoping for three points, but this league is so unpredictable I'm trying to prepare myself for anything happening.

Fantastic result. Glad to hear that Hamer played well - hopefully that will give him confidence. We've got a decent record up at Boro over the last few years.

It was a relief when Flinty got the equaliser but overall it was two points lost against a very average looking Leeds side who were there for the taking. Our vulnerability to counter attacks, missed chances and poor decision making at times are things to work on.

I popped into Sainsbury's in Brislington yesterday on my way home from work. I can report that it was quite busy with no sign of abandoned trolleys filled with shopping.
I have a sneaky feeling that the blue few's mass boycott/sabotage might not be gaining any momentum.

I don't like QPR, mainly because I've seen us play there several times and every time we have lost, apart from in the 1998-1999 season when they equalised in injury time which seemed to set the tone for that season.
Worried about this game like I'm now worried about every game. 3 points would be very welcome.
