Looking forward to seeing Matty Taylor today. Thought he looked sluggish v Boro, and despite his goal and hard work v QPR I thought he still didn’t look sharp.
LJ mentioned in his presser that he thought MT had got the rustiness out of his legs on Tuesday, so i’m Hoping to see more from him today.
Agreed. Glad he's starting. I've always thought he needs a run of games. The goal v QPR would have been a confidence boost. Now he needs to show us what he can do.

Time for payback. 7-1 to City.

A very welcome three points. Glad Matty Taylor got on the scoresheet and what a start Weimann has had.

If we are suffering with injuries in defence and with Diedhiou still out I think we might struggle today. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I was quite underwhelmed by our performance today. We didn't really pose much of an attacking threat or impose ourselves on them. Up front we missed a physical presence and didn't seem to be able to play the ball into space for our players to run on to. At the back we were OK but defended too narrow at times, leaving our wingers exposed (like with the cross for their goal).
Forest looked the better side and were comfortable on the ball, but they seemed toothless in attack.
Overall a draw was probably a fair result.

Much better tonight. I was concerned at half time that they'd got a goal back, had chances, were finding gaps in our half and looked likely to score again but we were more solid in the second half.
Joe Bryan had his best game for a while. Lloyd Kelly was very assured. Great interplay between Reid and Taylor for the third goal.
The Djuric/Diedhiou pairing hasn't really worked yet - other players haven't been close enough to get the knock downs or to pick up the loose balls.
It's good to finally beat Brum again, though.

Two good goals for us, but we have been very open and their goal was coming.
-
Glad Kelly is getting a start. I was hoping to see Eliasson start as well - he put a couple of decent crosses in at Millwall and that sort of quality delivery is needed for Djuric and Diedhiou to get on the end of.
It'll be interesting to see if Brownhill or Smith are at right back with Reid on right midfield (with licence to roam) or whether it'll be three at the back.

I'm happy with a point in the context of today's game, with us being behind late on after what sounds like a disjointed display...but our away form is a concern. We are still in the race for the play-offs, but we don't seem to have much momentum. Next week's game at Millwall will be interesting!

I'm feeling optimistic about this game...or maybe it's just relief that the international break is over. 2-0 to City.

What was the attendance today? I'm wondering if potd is dropping along with our recent form.
It was announced as over 21000 but looked less than that.
A very welcome 3 points in a game that was as dire as you can get.

Zero creativity from City so far. Poor first half.

Exactly the same failing as last week - we stopped playing. All the things we did in the first half to control the game we stopped doing. Just before they got their first goal I made a comment to my son about how we seemed to have stopped pressing, allowing them to have their half to themselves. For both their goals we let them get in front of us rather than showing the determination to be first to the ball. When teams take their foot off the peddle it's difficult to get control of the game back - so in the end we were hanging on and lucky to get the point with their chance right at the death.
On the one hand a point gained, which I would have taken before the game. Overall, though, another two points wasted.
Still all to play for, but very frustrating today.

Good first half from City. Diedhiou took his goal really well - I thought at first he took too long and the chance was gone but he found a gap and slotted it in. Quality. Good to see Reid getting a goal too. He works hard but shows such skill too.
So far so good.

I've only been to Elland Rd once for the infamous Nicky Hunt game. Horrible game but a decent weekend out. Credit to those City fans who've made the long journey today. I'm never optimistic when we play them away. I'd take a draw today.
"Marching on together" is second only to that Irene crap sung by the fewers as the most annoying football chant.

Happy with a point from tonight’s game against a good team. At least our losing run has come to an end. Now we just need to find a way to start scoring again!

It's important that we get something out of tonight's game to get our league form back on track. Also to prevent the losing streak becoming a "thing" that affects the confidence of players and fans. A draw would be a decent result.
Being away might suit us to an extent. Apart from the Aston Villa game, our away form has been excellent. We struggle more when teams get players behind the ball, which presumably Derby as the home team will be unlikely to do.

Frustrating game. First half our play was too slow but we improved after half time. It just seemed that the final ball lacked quality and our crossing was poor at times. God knows how that chance near the end didn't go in. Norwich were well-organised defensively and looked dangerous on the break.
Liam Walsh had a pretty good first full game.
-
I'm quite nervous about this game - I really don't want us to suffer our first back to back losses of the season. A draw would be a decent result.
-
Very frustrating tonight. We threw away a winning position with both the attacks for their goals stemming from us giving the ball away.
Onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed we can pick up something from Villa Park.
-
Very difficult game today and I've got a feeling that our injuries will take their toll. Still looking forward to it, though, with another big crowd and players who will fight to the end. COYR

It was deflected wasn't it?
Don't know, but it came out of the blue and gave them something to fight for.

We were dominant in the first half and fully deserved our two goal lead. Their wonder strike at the start of the second half got their tails up and they then made a game of it. Another good 3 points. We are looking strong.

Fantastic result. Two good away wins in a row, both with clean sheets. Great way to bounce back from last week's home defeat.
