  1. Given that many on here were really excited about the 11 starting v Preston I am going to see this as a good sign.
  2. Agree his best position seems to be LCB. So it is odd he can only get in our side or Iceland's at LB. A position where he is a bit limited. Would hope our coaches can work on his weaknesses so he can play in what is his best position.
  3. Can't have been planning on 352 prior to the FA **** up. So they won't have had much time to train in this formation. Worrying. Vyner would have been a worry too. Not an easy decision for Lee. Maybe he is kidding Colin and korey actually plays RB??
  4. Went to Craven Cottage back when Mark Gavin was in his brief hot streak. Remember him waltzing through their defence and I think we won. Was on an open terrace behind their goalie who was distinctly beefy - as he was reminded constantly. Made Tomlin look like a size zero. It was over the xmas holidays I think.
  5. We haven't won at their place for 25 years apparently. Would be nice if that record is the one we broke.
  6. Coaching team have said good things about what they've seen in training. He needs a bit of time to start showing it in matches. Don't recall so much positivity around Engvall. If it turns out the same way maybe we will decide not to shop in Scandanavia in future!
  7. Well done the team and LJ. Another bogey ground where I expected us to lose. A bit nervous about what will happen after the break though after last season.
  8. So is it a case of our luck evening out as we seemed a tad fortunate in the last two games?
  9. I think it was right to move Brownhill into the middle. I would have been tempted to play Smith at RB instead of Vyner and left Pack in. KS did better at RB last season than he has CM this season imo.
  10. I'm no LJ fan but we are mid-table as it stands. I'm happy with that even though we appear to be inconsistent to put it mildly.
  11. According to the bbc preview we have had more shots on target against us than any other team in the championship. So we may well need to score a few to win this game. Hope BR can keep it up.
  12. Sounds like both Barnsley and Twente games. Very good first half but seem to go to sleep second.
  13. What chances did we have - I don't remember any. One shot on target. Terrible performance by us but thankfully it didn't matter. I expect next season to be a massive struggle without Tammy. He was clearly saying goodbye at the end today.
  14. Totally agree with the sentiment. I want LJ out but want us to stay up more. IF it all goes wrong and we are down by the time we play Brum then that is the time to really let them know what we think. While we still need points and could stay up I can't see the point as SL ain't listening and it can't be helping the players.
  15. Are you one of the newbies that BS have put on here to try and improve the tone by any chance?
  16. Good question but I wouldn't want to believe he would deliberately try to lose. If we play two holding midfielders and one up front again today I think I will be fuming before we've even kicked off. I would like to see Mags back. We have no decent FBs so lets go 3-4-3. JB and DC wide midfield/wing back. Tomlin, Taylor and Djuric up front (or Wilbs if Djuric isn't fit). Not 1 up with two dropping back - three attackers Lee!! We have to go for it from the start to get the crowd onside. No point playing it any other way as we can't defend so just set up to out score them. They are poor away so surely we could manage that if we went for it???
  17. Very consistent team selection by LJ. He talks about what he wants (energy) then picks a team with Wilbs, GON and a half fit Korey. Exactly the opposite of what he was talking about. This is totally consistent with what he's been doing for months.
  18. The fact we can play that well in the first half shows there is talent in this squad. Our inability to hold on to it - yet again - shows we don't have a leader who can organise and shape that talent into a winning team. A half decent, experienced manager would fly up the table with this squad. But I expect Lansdown will just see the first half as a reason to hang on to LJ. Fed up with the incessant collapses.
