  1. LJ didn't sound that confident of signing what we need in Jan. I'm sure the word 'hopefully' was dropped in there for the first time in tonight's interview. With the terrible run we are on the chances of attracting the quality, experienced SBC players we need are receding rapidly. Oh for a Steve Bruce or Chris Hughton who could attract those kind of players based on their previous proven successes.

Im really trying hard not to over react here, but I thought we'd bought a Swedish international striker for around £2m quid....but all I've heard since is stuff like 'he's not ready' - 'he's one for the future' - 'he's injured' - 'we're holding him back until he adapts' - and now 'he's an unknown quantity' .....we paid a similar amount for Kodjia and put him straight into the team and it paid off handsomely.

Are we scared to do the same with Engvall?  I'm fed up with this....

Sorry but from tonight and his Hull appearance I think it is pretty clear Engvall is nowhere near Kodjia level. I can see why LJ is reluctant to play him.

  3. I'm worried about our defence. Only Blackburn and Forest have, like us, failed to keep a clean sheet in the league. We seem to be going in the wrong direction in that we were only conceding once in early games.

Hopefully Derby won't click today and we can actually play for 90 mins rather than the usual one good/one bad half.

I fear the collapse at Sheff may leave us with a confidence problem. If we get ahead that will help. Fearing the worst today but hope to be proved wrong.

I think what frustrates me....and maybe one or two others....is how many silly mistakes we have made this season. Really really silly mistakes.

The two goals tonight were school boy stuff. As was the red card. Stupid tackle

Then look at the Rotherham goals.....

It's frustrating as it's not like teams are carving us open. We are gifting teams goals EVERY game

Isn't that what we were saying this time last season? Nothing seems to change much with city. Too many false dawns.

One benefit of living in Yorkshire, we can get to these long distance away games. Why oh why are long distance games like this, Norwich, Leeds and Preston away mid week. There's enough teams local to Bristol for then to be mid week , and far away games to be on a weekend. Rant over!

    2-2 tonight

I do believe I read that this is done by the EFL deliberately. Their logic being that these long trips result in the lowest away following, even on a Saturday. So by putting them mid-week you lose less money and inconvenience less supporters. If you had say 3k ready to go to Fulham that may drop to 800 if you make it mid-week. There is some logic there when you think about it I guess. Not good for those who will go regardless though.

Sounds like we're being completely outplayed by burton mind. Doesn't fill me with confidence for the games coming up.

wigan and burton are games I expected us to win but we're not making it easy. Why we keep playing tomlin out wide is beyond me. As soon as he goes central we score

Hasn't Tomlin himself said he prefers to play wide with freedom to drift infield?

We've never lost to them and that should remain come 5pm

I don't like these long running stats being quoted as they so often get broken in this league. Probably just perception but whenever I hear 'they haven't won here for 30-odd years' quoted by a commentator it seems 'they' go on to win. Something about the unpredictable nature of the Championship.

I too would predict a draw. As most of us are thinking this I am suspecting it won't happen though.

  8. Don't think we really got going. Two good games in a row have been hard to achieve recently. AG sounded very quiet in the second half on TV which wasn't surprising given our lack of chances.

I thought Reid showed why SC wouldn't pick him - too easily knocked off the ball. Wilbs wasn't in the game. Neither of our FBs were good enough and Waggy showed his lack of sharpness.

Pack, Burns and Flint played well and young Max did nothing wrong.

Hope we were saving ourselves for Leeds.
