  1. The Burton Albion vs Bristol City match day thread and every other match in England and the rest of the UK
  2. Well if he was, it was a heck of a spot by JK. I had no view of it to tell if he was or wasn't but looked close from behind. That's the kind of football we should've played all game. There was some quick play with a few tricks, lots of pace and power and the ball on the ground for most of it. We play like that then I think we'll give most teams a run for it and push top 6 because not many play that way and it's tough for championship defenders to defend.
  3. His runs all game we're opening them up. Even the ones that went out for goal kicks. He drew some fouls and cards then it started opening up more in the second half. Abraham come on and they just couldn't deal with the pace and power. Kodjia was isolated first half and better once Abraham come on. Though I think everyone wanted to strangle JK for not playing TA through on that one break. Comical selfishness.
  4. Magnusson looks a bit shaky thus far but not in the defending 1 on 1 or on the ball. Off the ball defending and strength wise he looks like he needs a lot of work. That'll come though. Callum O'Dowda looks a steal even at his price. Not touched it much but every time he does we get in dangerous positions. Giving Burn the run around.
  5. Playing the long ball to Tomlin for much of the half where he's had no intention of jumping to try and win it. Kodjia so isolated. Brownhill putting in a shift but some poor passes. Ball always out on the left but on the rare occasions on COD and Aylings side we are dangerous. Goal was a mistake turned counter. Flint beat for pace and good cutback and finish. It's the championship and it'll happen every time. Anyway. Don't mind Tomlin on the left but we need to stop lumping it up to him like he's Wilbraham. Bobby Reid I think should've started. Kodjia needs bodies near him. Why have we spent 7-8m quid on good footballers to play lump and chase? Get the ball on the ground to Tomlin, Kodjia and O'Dowda's feet. Wigan look comfortable if unspectacular. They could be the Preston of the season
  6. 28 shots with half on target last I checked
  7. Exactly. I said it earlier, LJ has earned my trust. He can get it wrong but he's quick to fix things. Seems to learn from mistakes. Looking a very promising young manager.
  8. It's no good playing Wilbs as a lone striker. We don't have runners around him for the odd occasions he does win it. I know he puts in a shift but goals are non existent with him playing up front on his own. I'd have dropped Tomlin for a match and started Odemwingie on the right it I was hell bent on starting Wilbs. Either that or drop Reid and slide Tomlin to the middle. LJ has earned my trust though. I'm certain it'll be a better half for us in the second regardless of end result.
  9. They're still relegated as it stands!! Though I would like decent performances to end the season
  10. This is what I was thinking. They don't have a huge midfield but if we are trying to beat them at their own game it could be a long day
  11. I'm ok with losing this. Hull are basically a prem side looking to go right back up. Save Korey for Tuesday when we really need him.
  12. I thought he should've tried to play in PO. Had a poor angle to shoot. Not sure if he could've got it to PO but seemed safer option unless Kodjia tries the chip which when he signed we saw he can do it.
  13. Always was going to be a tough fixture. Tuesday super important now
  14. Hope so. I'd be dreadful if we lose to Bolton at home in front of a 2 week international break.
  15. I didn't mean poor season for Kodjia. Meant the team has missed chances to feed him quicker and this team seems suited for it.
  16. No doubt. I'm not against it. Maybe I'm overthinking it but seems playing it up to Wilbs all game might play into a poor Bolton side's hands a bit. Also we've all seen Kodjia have poor season most the year and this seems like the best team for playing quick balls and we won't have our best and quickest striker playing. As long as we win I don't care but just throwing my opinion out there.
  17. I know he doesn't pass very much but think leaving Kodjia out is a mistake. It's the kind of game I think he'd do well in as I think he can beat these defenders. LJ has a good track record so far though so I hope it pays off.
  18. Something happened at HT because second half was so much better(obviously). More urgency and desire to press and quicker football. I was unsure on the subs but we took off our worst offenders for holding onto the ball and it worked brilliantly.
  19. Poor first half. No passion or energy. Fulham passing around our box for fun all of ours about 6-7 yards in front giving them space to run and pick us apart. Wilbs in. Lumping it up to him hoping for some luck. Surprisingly none so far. Kodjia on the wing. Not sure where he should be. Bryan, Freeman and Pack are on the pitch casually jogging around. Back 4 and keeper not awful. Fulham only the one real chance where McCormack beautifully buried. Some long shots but down to midfield not marking or closing down their midfield. Needs a big change in the second half. Reid and Odemwingie warming up a bit early with trainer. Maybe s couple changes?
