  1. I would take twine if we could get for £2m and £20k pw but suspect it would be a lot more than that. Burnley staying up could help tbf
  2. I was really impressed with Delano burgzorg for Huddersfield last week-looks exactly the type of player we need who can hold it up and has pace. Only 7 goals but is his first season in a new league and in a struggling team so could get to 15 if we signed him imo.
  3. If we continue at this rate of improvement I fancy top 6 at least next season. Really excited to see what Liam can achieve with a pre season and a striker!
  4. Just feels an arbitrary number to me, why not quote top 11
  5. Agree. do we have any lingering concerns over fitness or has that been put to bed?
  6. What a fantastic performance-front foot, aggressive and composed. The sort of football Brian and Jon promised when they signed Liam. really wish we sacked him after those couple of losses
  7. I know Blackburn were poor but for me it showed what we've been missing without twine-someone that can handle the ball between the lines and actually unlock defences. Not sure bird is that type (think he's more of a sitter/james replacement) so along with the striker getting twine or similar is crucial to our chances next season
  8. Would you still have sacked him in hindsight? I'm aware of the nuance and I'm also acutely aware of context when appraising performance-hence why i disagreed with the bedwetters
  9. With respect we wouldn't be able to enjoy it if a lot of people on here had their way!
  10. Will the bed wetters who called for Mannings head after a couple of poor performances/defeats now be calling for his contract to be extended??
  11. How's that cumulative net XG LOOKING @Davefevs ?
  12. This thread has aged terribly
  13. But do you think manning would have signed off on signing players that can't handle the ball? Tanner, mccrorrie and knight for example feel very much like Pearson signings! Also the way we want to play has changed from counter attacking to sustained attacks with pretty patterns-so what you are saying can't be correct!
  14. That Swansea performance was absolutely fine-we desperately needed a win that day and so we kept it tight and nicked one. You need to take the context of the position we are in, the opposition and the conditions for each match
  15. Not sure a couple of dead rubber games are going to have any bearing on that decision for me. im expecting a transformed style next season after Liam shapes his squad and has a pre season to implement his methods. This season largely irrelevant for me
  16. It wasn't that bad given the conditions. Ground out a decent point on the road. 7 points in 3 games since the bed wetters called for mannings head-hope there's enough humble pie to go round!
  17. Thought the 2nd half was pretty even. A point away never to be sniffed at-let's not blow a dead rubber match in terrible conditions out of proportion
  18. It was a poor performance but let's add some context please. The conditions were shocking-extremely windy, sun in the players eyes and litter swirling all over the pitch! It's also a meaningless game which we got a point out of!
  19. Almost like getting James and twine back has made a difference. I hope all those bed wetters that lost faith enjoy their humble pie this evening
  20. Well yes he shouldn't have been sacked either!
  21. Yes but if you add twines absence along with pring being unfit, Sykes being off form and wells not being able to finish his dinner then you can understand what's causing this run
