  1. The Taylor stoppage was unreal. Yeah, outrageous chin. Glad he retired when he did really, could have ended up with some serious health problems otherwise.
  2. Went to the opener of the Super six when Froch beat Dirrell. It didn't start till about 2am despite being at the Trent arena due to the tournament being aired in America. Forest had played Newcastle in a televised evening game so by the time the fight came round there was thousands of very drunk and lairy Froch fans causing chaos around the arena. Was a terrible fight as well, I thought he'd lost it at the time. Shame I didn't take a photo when the fighters were in the actual ring
  3. Yeah, it's almost felt weird having the build up to such a big fight without seeing Eddie Hearn's face everywhere.
  4. Nice to see pretty much every possible outcome predicted already, so rare it happens before fights. Really like this tournament format, stops any potential silliness from fighters trying to duck opponents, making silly demands etc.
  5. Also very excited for the fight, can't beat an evenly matched domestic fight like this. Keep changing my mind but I'm going for Eubank on points. Much prefer Groves but it's probably better for British boxing if Eubank wins, although I'll l be cheering for Smith against either if he makes the final. Edit - Eubank to win on a controversial split decision.
  6. Finally found a decent stream if anyone needs it https://live.bypassed.st/sky-sports-main-event
  7. It could be worse lads http://www.soccerstats.com/team.asp?league=england2&stats=14-Sheffield-Wed 1 win in 14
  8. Alright all. Just put it on. Don't know much about Chamberlain or Okolie to be honest.
  9. Really surprised me when I saw this. Not a fan of Khan but will be good to see him back in the ring.
  10. Just heard the news, had no idea DeGale was even fighting tonight, sounded a poor performance.
  11. Great game, really enjoyed that. Good old fashioned smash 'n' grab. Will probably be my highlight of the weekend. Out televised game at Norwich tomorrow has dog sh*t written all over it. No idea why Sky picked it. Enjoy the win.
  12. How on earth does a defender score 20 goals in a season? Had to google that, couldn't believe my ears.
  13. Interesting and enjoyable OP, completely agree with regards to West Ham. Looking forward to watching this tonight, all the Blunts I know don't fancy it at all. Good time to be playing them as they've wobbled recently. COYR
  14. Would have been more surprised if the fight actually went ahead. Never believed it would. Don't think it will happen at all now.
  15. Think it was a stroke of luck that previous opponent falling in the shower, as he'd obviously already fallen out with them before the fight and then missing the weight. Always think this referee looks like Jim Murphy btw.
  16. Sums up our season so far really, disappointing. We just aren't at the races, and there's no way we're suddenly gonna hit form and stay in the top 6, we've got mid table written all over us. I've not joined what is becoming the majority of Wednesday fans in calling for the managers head but maybe we've started to go stale, and a new face with fresh ideas might be what we need. Our current first 11 is almost identical to the one which lost the playoff final a couple of seasons ago. Despite all the money spent since we somehow haven't managed to strengthen our side. As for today, thought it was a poor game, agree you were the better side and could have nicked it. Never felt we were going to score to be honest.
  17. Alright all, predicted an entertaining 2-2 draw on here last night, so probably my fault for the snooze fest today. If we were further up the table I wouldn't mind a point against your current side but we are desperate for points. Feels like a write-off for us this season already. Should be routine for Frampton tonight, will be interesting to see if he does anything different now he's with Jamie Moore.
  18. Interesting chat with Hearn from yesterday about his involvement with boxing in America. Don't like the idea of him promoting an American going up against a Brit which could well happen if Jacobs ends up fighting Saunders. He's always talked about his ambition to go and conquer America though.
