My behaviours were good. I had half an hour on the grass before the game, (not that I can find much grass here in Greece), but I was bored shirtless. Another game I've watched and rather be cooking the dinner. If you tolerate this then blah blah blah.

Another grim borefest.

There are different narratives about the origin of St George as our patron saint. One says that he was a Roman officer tortured to renounce his Christian faith. Another that he was the 12th Century Crusaders who invoked his name in battle.
As for slaying the dragon - that obviously didn’t occur but the ‘dragon’ was euphemism for the devil.
It reality like most Saints history its bulls#*t.
Corrected that for you.

I wouldn’t say it’s tarnished anything for the 18s. All it’s done is raise questions re the approach this season. Probably not helped by Tins making it sound as if the notion came from “upstairs” because they wanted some silverware! I hope he just poorly explained it…but poor form from the Ls if so.
Gimme, gimme, medal, medal!
I think your rationale is fine, but there is the flipside, that as you progress up the ages, the chances of keeping a group together diminishes anyway, natural fall off of some players, speedier progress of other. So, play them at their ability level not their age level, in fact until this season, it’s been expose them higher up asap. So a change in strategy, because of the owner’s wishes!
I have no real issues with it, but wouldn’t want to hold a player back either. Some happy medium? I would hope that first team takes priority where a conflict occurs. As it happens I don’t LM is gonna play any of the 18s, so I’m not bothered.
Re 18s training. Seems to have been a bit of inconsistency, some weeks none are up with the first team, other weeks they are.
I think FA youth Cup want is linked to getting investment/ a buyer. I'm sure anyone interested in the club will be wildly sold the academy and its successes and a bit of silverware would just enhance that. "35 million in academy player sales and won the FA youth cup this season" sounds quite attractive to a buyer. Shame the 1st team got f**ked over in the process.

Let's be honest. This is not a scene. In the 70s this was barely a conversation.

I understand people saying he has been handed a poisoned chalice and clearly he has and subsequently shown he is out of his depth. However what he was handed was one of the fittest most together squads that would run through walls for NP and at no point has he doffed his cap to that. He has questioned the previous regime and the way the players were coached.
For me that is disrespectful and arrogant, so he deserves all the criticism he is receiving.

I think the most concerning thing is that pre Manning we had one of the meanest defensive units in the division. The last 2 games it has looked all over the place, which if we are going to get drawn towards the teams scrapping for survival is worrying.

Seems we’re better when we play the Nige way like we did against Southampton, revert to possession based Manningball and it’s normal strangle the life out of the game dross.
How very dare you suggest NP had the system right.

Not defending last nights performance but I think you will find Leeds were in a different place then , they have got better and better since the season has gone on and we have played them right in the middle of them being in an extremely rich vein of form - still no excuse for last nights poor performance as I said .
And so were we!

Sat in a bar with the same group of Leeds fans as the away game in October. They couldn't get over the difference. Thought we looked one of the best teams to visit Elland Rd, tonight thought we looked terrified and worse than Rotherham.

We had our chance 1st half. Forest weren't good in or out of possession. They will be better next time.

The banner said 'wasted potential on and off the pitch'
What a load of nonsense. If you compiled a list of overachieving clubs (both now and historically) compared to fanbase, stadium, etc etc then Palace would be right near the very top of the list.
Describes us perfectly.

In conclusion the change we were sold hasn't happened. We replaced a manager who was making a purse out of a sows ear with a manager who is making a half purse half sows ear out of the same sows ear. We'll done BCFC if there was a balloon d'or for kicking yourself in the bollocks we might finally win something.

Really couldn't disagree more.
The contrast between this performance and the Millwall game was stark
Against Millwall, we were passive, happy to retain possession and offered little threat
I liked everything about today's game, and especially the second half, other than the fact that we didn't win. We had 3 free headers in front of the South stand, one of which should have gone in
Today, we had an aggressive midfield, runners, many forward passes and, the thing I really liked was the hunting in packs.
We pressed intensely at times and forced errors from Watford and, when we've got a bit more practice at it, teams will struggle to get out
Watford played their part to be fair and I just thought it was a cracking game of football all round
Kudos to Liam Manning for the turnaround and I think with another signing or 2, we will only get better. I like the shape this team us evolving into. Tommy will come into his element when we get there....
The number of square and backwards passes is doing my head in. Its not entertaining end of.

We need.
Patience.
Understanding (like the gas) these things take time.
To forget we have a top 6 squad.

Were we that entertaining under Pearson? No is the answer. Fact is both him and Manning had/have a poor squad to work with.
So as I said before why the change. I always felt we might get something out of games with NP, now I can't wait for them to end. Uninspiring is the word for LMs reign, it's not his fault as the style of play is his thing, but increasingly it's not something I want to watch.

I think the crowd don't lie. Entertain and they will respond don't and they will respond. Today was rubbish. Not about the players. The style, formation, aptitude and application were poor. Happening too often for my liking. P.S I watch every game.
