  1. What an interesting article and a good discussion on here. I find it odd that a firm connected to Bristol City had talks with Mr Reece and it’s been openly talked about in the media.
Passions run high when some people think of the fallen and their ultimate sacrifice to this country.
I genuinely have never thought that All lives Matter slogan is racist , Black Lives Matter singles out one group, many other groups have suffered in this Country so something more inclusive all would be better …tin hat on!

  2. All about opinion I suppose.  For me the most naturally gifted footballer I’ve seen don our red .  I couldn’t take my eyes off the man. My old man loved him and after Osman sent him packing my old man never set foot in Ashton Gate again.
His stats ain’t great and he was here not for long but it was enough for me . Andrew Cole would be a judge of a good player . Names my eldest son after him.

  3. I can see why not all are in the Big Nige camp . When he was appointed I thought fair play to him as the task in hand was massive . Not overly impressed with his little cameo last season as I thought he’d need a pre season under his belt to turn the tide . It’s happening slowly.

His style is nothing like junior bent’s. And he’s a much better player as well.

Lots of people writing him off. Maybe the same ones who wrote off Bobby Reid, Massengo and the likes.

Yeh my comment was tad tongue n cheek,  I shall say no more !

What a strange world we live in.

On Twitter I saw Jah Wobble, former bass guitarist in Public Image Ltd and all round good bloke, congratulate them but wisely point out it is finding the model that fits your club, not copy their somewhat unique one.

Wonder if he’s available to start doing Football Focus? Far better insight than ***** like Jenas & Savage..

Jah Wobble saw him at Glastonbury!!,

    Good point he made .

I’d say we’ve just played 2 of the best 4/5 footballing (passing) teams in the Champ in Fulham and QPR.  I’m really interested in how we go about Millwall and Peterborough.  Would really like to think we won’t be conceding 20+ shots against them, or that’s a trend we need to seriously look at.

If open football means more shots for us and more against, as fans we might have to accept what goes with it, and thats a more clinical team punishing us.

I hope we can start to change the trend and it be City that are getting the balance going the “right way”.

The upcoming break will be a good place to review where we are.

I like to be entertained and we Played our part in a highly entertaining game . It takes two teams to make a good match and I’m in no doubt where a bit too open and lack concentration at times . Certainly feel where heading in the right direction .

  7. Felt like football had finally arrived back at Ashton Gate after poor football for a few years now. We battled and rode our luck for sure and Fulham where very wasteful.
I do fear we might get a hiding sooner or later when a more clinical side take their chance .
Atmosphere was good and I think this helped the players in the spell we had in the last twenty of the second half

  8. Really impressed with him yesterday and yep that was a shuddering tackle . Didn’t look out of place he seems to have fitted in well enough . Yesterday a massive test for him and he did well against top class Championship opponents

  9. What a talent . Doesn’t do enough to warrant a start as he has a problem applying himself.  Seen glimpses of what he’s capable of and he won’t be the last big talent at the Gate not to fulfil his potential.  Such a gifted player . Maybe Nige is the man to get the best out of him , hope so.

It’s weird, it does still hurt and I’ll never forget it, even though it’s over 30 years ago.

I can remember standing there at the final whistle feeling numb and almost unable to move, I was thinking to myself then that this is something I’d never forget.
And although I have very few thoughts about them lot nowadays, moments as I mentioned above makes it come flooding back,

I was only 15 at the time but I cried like a baby !!!

    It’s a terrible memory !!

That was some season tbf . Cotts double made it feel a little better !!
