OK then. You made the keeper make 1 save, plus the penalty. To their 7, plus the goal.

You made 214 passes to their 534.

You had just 28% possession, against their 72%.

You had 69 attacks, their 124.

19 of which classes as Dangerous, compared to their 74.

Are this better measurements of how you were fortunate to get a point against an average league 1 club, yet find it something to celebrate...?

Banter that a below average Championship club came to your patch and outplayed you, IMO.

Collective wankfest by those idiots about getting a point at a shambolic Sunderland sums them up. Watching the efl show last night . Colin Murray said , Sunderland had 72% possession and 25 shots on goal . According to the fewers though , they played well ??

Sunderland had 8 shots on target.

They can shoot as much as they want, if they aren’t testing the keeper what’s the point? Pointless stat to measure the game on.

    Pre-Season friendlies started already for some;

Saturday Bristol Manor Farm 0-4 Pikeys   - BMF played the pikeys at 12.00 then another team afterwards using a shed load of players

    Last night Swindon 3-1 Pikeys

Bit weird not to mention that they played against our development squad.

Barney clearly gutted, asked to sum up his feelings & what’s going through his head & his reply was “nothing”!!

He doesn’t even feel like he achieved anything within the sport!! He’s clearly gutted that he’s finished his career in the first round of the worlds!!

    Sad to see.

Personally feel he has some MH issues.

Lovely guy and an amazing darts player. Obviously very disappointed by the way he's gone out and his general performances but I remember him having the highest losing average(109?) a few years back against MVG and he was saying he wasn't good enough anymore.

Feel more could have been done by PDC/Sky to show the appreciation a lot of people have for Barney.

Any of you stat guys know what the ratio of managers is between us and them? As far as I can remember they seem to have had to replace their manager every year - 18 months or so.

Dopey Darrell was probably one of their longest serving ones in recent times wasn't he?

Including caretaker managers we have apparently had 42, you 41.

    Since 2000 we've had 20 and you've had 16.

  6. Never boring being a Rovers fan. If you don't laugh you'll cry!

Mansfield just sacked their manager minutes ago so all but confirmed if you ask me. Personally, didn't like GC. Can't deny the job he's done has been superb though.

Mansfield are bantering us again. He said he wanted to have talks with the board and I'm guessing they haven't said they'll back him, Mansfield have a bit of money and it's closer to home so it makes sense for him.

    Job for Cotts ?

  7.

Brighton literally bought your best player to stick in their reserves who then got out muscled by little Tom Nichols who then scored what must be his 7th goal in about 100 apps.

Thanks for spending another night obsessing over us.

Much love, always in your minds,

    Rovers x

Get the **** off our forum you ******* bell-end. You're a ******* embarrassment to Bristol.

The sooner you go into Administration and disappear up your own shite pipe the better.

If it wasn't for my Mrs, she's 5ft 2 (I'm 6ft 2 and 17st of rage) and just about keeps my temper in check I'd be in a lot of trouble. Whenever I see one of you sad pathetic ******* in that puke up shirt I just want to rip your face off. Lucky for the **** in B&Q the other day as he nearly had some decking

Hahaha I do try to just browse this place and not comment anymore but this post says a lot more about your pathetic life than it does Rovers fans/or just rivalries in general.

I'd you genuinely feel like that after seeing a opposing fan in his colours then you have a lot of growing up to do, Mr Rage x

Who would you like to see appointed?

    Darrell Clarke...

Looking at who's available no one inspires me. Stewart, whilst I wouldn't have wanted him in charge would have been the best short term option but just asked to leave the club too. Rotten from the top.

Hurst would be interesting but as he's very good friends with DC it won't happen. DC will tell him everything that's wrong at the club.

Sad Sag on Radio Bristol just said he wouldn't want Cotts……… "his management record isn't good enough for us"

    Deluded!!!!

I seem to recall there was a lot of backlash on here about you lot appointing him concerning his record.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure he'd do a good job for us if he had similar funds to what he had when he won L1 at a canter with you. But he won't have those funds.

  11. Ridiculous.

Not having the best of seasons but he has been shafted by those above him.

When MT signed his new contract it was "We don't have to sell our best players anymore". They lied to DC about the stadium, training ground and increased budgets so that he'd turn down Leeds and DC has probably been sacked because he revealed that the club actually want to cut back on spending and his critisicing of the board rather than the poor results.

I'm sure it's funny for you lot and despite this season DC is a top manager who'll go on to better things. Every manager has a poor season in them. We'll linger and just be a crap League 2 club again.

Will Wael come out and speak to the fans now? Doubt it.

Took my 8 year old son for the first time today to watch the Glos T20 blast game against Surrey this afternoon, great win and a nice afternoon out. Went for a quiet pint after the game in an unnamed boozer on Gloucester road (lad wearing city shirt) and without going into detail was told by a group of Gasheads to cover the lad up or get a hiding!!  Who the **** acts like that? Not tarring them all with the same brush but FFS!! Ruined a great day out..

Hiya pal, hope your son isn't too scarred by the situation and hope he continues to wear his City top with pride.

Hands on heart would any city fan be offended by a kid in a rovers shirt? Regardless of where you saw them, city heartlands bedminster, knowle Hartcliffe etc!! Ok take the mickey, but threaten violence??

I'm from South Bristol and a Rovers fan in a family full of you lot... If we were ever out in Bemmy I'd pretty much always wear my Rovers top as growing up I knew a fair amount of City fans and it was all friendly banter and I felt safe thinking the worst that could happen was a few piss take exchanges between each other, but when I was 13/14 I was started on along East St by 3 or 4 drunk men. I had family and family friends around so all was well but it was pretty scary at the time!

As I said, hope your boy continues to wear the shirt and that most Rovers fans will just have a bit of banter if he's wearing his shirt. Just arm him with a few pisstake lines about us and let him fire back and all will be well.

Losing heir goalkeeping coach and gas legend to mighty Swindon town as well,

that will go down well with the non leaguers

Development goalkeeper coach. He's moved into a role where he's now the first team GK coach at Swindon, and who can blame him? It's progress for him but we already have a first team GK coach.

They were struggling to score last year so must be even more thin on the ground for this season. Maybe they will try and get even more dodgy penalties this term. Anyway, f@ck em

Eh? We were the 7th highest scorers last season.

He may well have got a bit too comfortable where he is as basically gets no criticism. In his mind it may be a big risk to make a jump elsewhere, where it is doubtful he will be given plenty of time to develop what he wants unless he finds the right club. He would have been mad to go to Leeds when offered unless he wanted a quick pay day.

If he does go they will be in big trouble left with the people running the show, it seems he is the only one doing anything to keep them together.

DC definitely gets criticism. The thing is DC has and is continuing to do great things for us and so whilst we may not agree with some things he does, we trust him. He has earned that.

Struggling to remember the last player who managed to score from the treatment table?

It was a laugh, but if you want to be serious about it all he's taken part in 28 Championship games since he last scored incase you want to be politically correct.

Even more of a ridiculous statement then. Requesting MK to cancel their home match because the local bus service in Bristol is not operating the day before the game.

Not exactly the statement though, is it?

It was highlighting that the authorities had warned people not to drive/travel, and as a consequence there was no public travel in/out of Bristol - and to think of the fans.

I don't agree with thinking MK should have called it off, but do find it weird how you seem to have read a different statement than the one posted.

I see the blue few are in melt down because their game at MK Dons is ON.

Their supporters club have issued a statement saying that the all of Bristol is in lock down and no buses and trains are running,  lie after lie .  Trains and buses are running in Bristol.

The statement was posted yesterday and buses weren't running.

It's more of a safety thing when local authorities etc are advising not to travel.

So, whisper it quietly, do we think they might sneak play-off place? I think the top 5 is out of reach but that last play off place is very much up for grabs.

Plymouth could be the heroes who stop them, they've come from about 10pts down and bottom place and still have the Gas at home to come I think.

Whatever you think about them, it would be some achievement by Clarke given the background he's working against and he's had F all support from the rest of the clowns in charge.

Be good to gather some opinions. Usually when one of us goes up, the other does too... (At least in my life time).

I don't think we will, but alike 'Muff and Gillingham we've come from 15 or so points behind to be 5 off with a game in hand, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't starting to get excited about it, but I fancied our chances a lot more last season despite us being on the same points/gd at the same stage last year, only last year 6th had a game in hand on us whereas we have one on 6th this year.

If we hadn't had that very poor run around oct/nov I'd be a lot more confident, but that's football for you. We always seem to be a much stronger team the second half of the season under Clarke so it's going to be interesting.  I do wish he did his half time team talk before the game though because having to come back every game is a little stressful!

That said, it's fantastic because the 4 seasons prior to DC we only managed to comeback and win twice.

I'm just enjoying it all at the minute, the day a big, stable club comes in for DC I know we'll drop back to League 2 from wherever we are and sign a lot of shit players on 3 year+ contracts.

How ******* embarrassing! There's no one there  That WAG must be thinking she's arrived in life.

I'd have called in sick instead of spending 2 hrs on the bellend bus. It's not all bad though, at least it's not raining.

Parades are usually pretty empty when they're on route to their first destination.
