Their wage bill is also comfortably top half of the table too. The owners have loosened the purse strings for Barton. They're doing roughly as they should be given wage bill.

They're not quite the plucky underdogs that Barton and their weirdo fans like to make out.

I'd say the fans are fully aware of our budget but given some of the teams in this League it would feel as if 5/6 years ago we'd have a top 6 budget whereas now it's like top 12 even though it's improved drastically. WAQ has gone all in on Barton and he's financially backed him to be fair.

Barton on the other hand... my opinions are known and I don't want to keep wasting time talking about him.

Saka is doing a decent job tracking back.   Not sure Marcus would. But we have to change something as we’re not really fluid at moment

Got to get the ball to Kane in shooting positions rather than Kane being the playmaker. Plays far too deep and whilst it works with Spurs England are too passive in their play for it to work IMO

Yep, he's on just less than a goal a game. Haaland's form is overshadowing what everyone else is doing.

Was discussing this with a mate the other day.

Kane usually starts slow. If it wasn’t for Haaland then his form would be getting a lot more attention.

This is what’s really surprised me. Any normal fan base would be concerned that you got promoted because of, and are still now heavily reliant on, loan players.

All transfer window you seem to have just relied on it again. All it does is kick the can down the road. As you say, it speaks volumes that Taylor and Anderson are levels above now & everyone could see it coming.

We struck gold with Tammy in 2016/17, we would’ve gone down without him without a doubt. But look what happened when he left… we had to fork out £5.4m on Diedhiou to ‘replace’ his impact & plug the gaps.

No manager or team can ever properly grow being so reliant on the model Barton seems to be focused on. And then he comes out with such insane claims. Maybe he’s compensating…?

Short time it can be successful as shown with clubs like Yeovil, Burton and Wycombe who have hit the Championship with loans but never built on it. I guess the plan would be to hit the Championship with a loan army and then try to build on that but we’re already having issues trying to replace the loans from last year as mentioned so it doesn’t seem the right path.

And as mentioned, I just don’t think he’s a good manager. Never will be until he sorts his ego out.

  5. Guys won about 4 games in 30 for us at League One level. We were awful until our Jan loans last season and one of them is now getting game time regularly at money bags Newcastle and the other is apparently Stokes best CB according to them, so we struck gold with that!

Guys an idiot and a terrible manager without players from his mates who are far too good for certain leagues, and for some reason a percentage of our fan base act like he’s the greatest manager in existence who can do no wrong.

There are people with scruples out there. My friend follows Yate Town and said he was chatting to 4 guys who were gasheads and have become season ticket holders there instead. There maybe more. Was it @Seventeenwho said on here that he hasn't been down since Barton came in?

    Correct ?

Doesn’t look like it, a lot of the comments are about his attitude and lack of desire. Seems like he’s a talented player who doesn’t  have the work ethic to go with it and disappeared when things got tough, we’ve had a few of them in the past few years for sure!

Forgetting he played with us before.

Two relegations in two not a good look but was our best player when we went down and if you read dons comments months ago Macca was one of their best players too. Kid doesn’t want to play in League 2 like he didn’t with us.

Barton is all boom or bust

I have no idea why he is approaching this season in such a manner. Far better to dampen expectations a bit, 'we are newly promoted in a league of some big clubs, a season of consolidation is our aim' rather than all the gung ho nonsense about needing 5 players to compete blah blah blah

Gonna end in tears big time

As for the Gashead who seems to think we would rather have Barton and Wally... Buddy if that was remotely true we would get Barton and Wael

Guys an idiot, can’t stand him.

Worst thing is he has most our fans wrapped around his little finger. Funny thread awhile ago where a few were claiming they never had an issue with him then a poster went and found threads from his time at Fleetwood with said posters criticising Fleetwood for hiring him and what a nasty piece of work he was etc.

He’s been given everything DC asked for and was denied. Publicly came out and said he had been given a big budget for this season but I’m not really sure what he’s done with it other than offer players new contacts then criticise them and want them out after one game. Mental.

When he came in I’m sure him and NP were battling for the worse PPG record in the whole EFL. Surprised you lot have been so patient but I’m only looking in from the outside so may be more too it.

If we had made it approx 35,000 but that would have been actual fans and not a fictitious number.

No problem not making it more pi**sd off that one of your ex managers allegedly headbutted our captain but shouldn't really be surprised as you like employing thugs.

Hahahaha it is most definitely is a made up number.

As everyone on here knows I am 110% against Barton because of his actions but one thing I will not have is a Swindon fan going on about DC being a thug?!??!! Anyone who watched it saw there was no headbutt and the “allegedly” in your sentence confirms that even you know it yourself. As mentioned already DC has gone through something that fortunately most of us will never have to. It’s out of character for him but don’t go creating a scenario to suit your own agenda because your team weren’t good enough over 46 games and then an extra two legs to get promoted.

Every week you come on here and sound more and more like your own description of a Rovers fan. Boasting about attendances and away followings. Congratulations on having a higher home gate than us for the first time in years. Congratulations on yet again not having a higher away following despite the numerous weeks on here I read you claiming you were taking 3500 everywhere you were going.

Maybe if Garner spent more time looking at how he set you lot up in that second leg as opposed to blaming an “unwatered pitch” you’d have been in the final.

    propa wallop ?

In that situation, don't cash out?   If you use your noggin, then cashing out is to the punter's advantage, like anything, you need to use judgement.  Eg. If you have a four bet accumulator, and the first three have won, then you have an option to cash out if you are not confident about the fourth selection.......it is to the punters advantage IMHO.

A lot of people don’t have the nerve though. In the same way I know plenty of people who will cash out pennies on their stake just to have another bet.

As said above, a good cash out choice feels great at the time but over the course of time it will always favour the bookies

I don't understand your POV.........why is it a con ,  If it allows individuals to take out their bet early?       Some years back the option did not exist, and It is a facility that i have often used.  So I end up winning 70% of the bet, instead of losing everything. Please explain?

If i put a fiver on a 10/1 shot but then cash out for £20 I’ve effectively taken a 10/1 shot for odds of 4/1. With no cash out option I walk out with £50 but I don’t have the nerve and instead the bookie has saved £30

So, when asked, surely you realise he had to give a positive response, no matter how fanciful it may have been. I'm not sticking up for him by any means, I think he was very fortunate to ever get the chance to manage at that level and most people thought he spoke a load of shyte, me included.

Surely a positive and more suitable response would have been something like “I hope that in 5 years we are on the way to becoming an established premier league team”?
