  1. Two off target shots from city. That's the summary of the match from the reporter on the Beeb. I'll take a boring win!
  2. Vyner, Bryan, Reid, Golbourne. Anyone remember the last time we had 4 academy products in the match day squad? Great to see
  3. If true, and the investment comes then good luck to them. As mentioned, the football league is littered with stories of foreign takeovers gone wrong. Forest, Cardiff, Leeds, Villa. Even Liverpool and Man Utd. Fans unhappy at ticket prices, outrageous levels of debt etc etc. At best, if if they become more competitive as a result then I can only see that as good for Bristol. As for our rivalry, there may finally be some genuine competition. Doesn't bother me at all.
  4. I think it'll be a cagey affair, not helped by the conditions or the current situation of each team. We have the best conversion rate for set pieces in the league according to the Beeb! I think we'll nick it though, Flinty header 68 mins, 0-1. COYR
  5. Not sure about that lineup. I think Marlon and Korey have a very busy afternoon ahead. Still, the best form of defence is attack so let's hope we take our chances today.
  6. I like that lineup. Plenty of attacking intent, with Korey keeping it solid at the back, Pack linking the midfield and defence. I really fancy this today, not sure why. 0-2 City.
  7. So, Pulis got the excuses in early, claiming his side are knackered and have new injury concerns. Despite renewed optimism, we're also a tad jaded. With more than one eye on Leeds on Saturday, current league position etc, surely neither side want extra time/pens? Are we likely to see a more open game as a result with both sides trying to settle it in normal time? Hope so! Goal fest!
  8. Whatever it is you're taking, I want some. The season is half over. He's had every chance. He's had since May last year to recruit and assemble a squad (read squad, not starting 11) fit for the C'ship. Do we want to be a club who changes their manager? Yes! Yes absolutely we do if the manager is blindly marching the team to relegation, undoing all of last seasons work. If you're happy with relegation and going down without a fight under the deluded direction of a stubborn manager, then good for you. It's not good enough for me. It shouldn't be good enough for the club. Dont get me started on what lessons should have been learnt in the transfer market.
  9. Preston beat us at home last season too. We have pretty much exactly the same team as last season, playing in the same way. All the same, but expecting different results. Familiar eh?
  10. The Beeb says Freeman went off due to injury. Can anyone confirm? Im assuming it to be true. Else that would be into the realms of tactical substitutions. And I have absolutely no idea what that is.
  11. Prestons no4 in midfield, a chap called Ben Pearson. Any good to those watching? Doesn't sound like a game where anyone is standing out?!
  12. Disappointing not to win, particularly in that manner but sounded like a great performance. Incredible support (sounded amazing on RB and mentions all over the BBC of the great support). Subs made early and appropriately, top scorer bags his first against premier league opponents, Wes plays and from what I read set up the second goal. Now we are in the 4th round draw, welcome WBA to the Gate and all this with a team we know needs some work. Holding a Premiership team away from home is not to be sniffed at. You'd have taken it before kick-off so don't let the last minute goal cloud it. That's football. Good result and some good positive advertising for the club during the transfer window. Well played lads.
  13. BBC Final Score... City have West Brom penned in and are defending well. Frank Fielding has had nothing to do (not surprising, he's on the bench) Their travelling support habe not stopped singing. Brilliant!
  14. I don't care. Unless that's a suspension of any kind. Glad it means so much to him. Hopefully a massive confidence boost scoring against a Premiership team at his first attempt
  15. BBC Final Score reporter saying we're in it at the moment. WBA finding us stubborn to break down and Sessegnon wasteful. Good. He hadn't noticed Frankie had been replaced though...
  16. HT 0-0 Anyone at the match give a bit of a half time summary? Listening on RB it sounds like WBA have had the best of it, with Sessegnon causing problems. Chances from distance from Kodjia, Smith and Freeman all lashed wide. Any clear chances either end?
