You didn't have to say that Graham, but it's very good of you to do so, and we're all very grateful that you did.

We took more to Coventry last season than there were at Eastville for it's last game in 1986 (including visiting Chesterfield fans)?

i would think so. Probably "3- nil" this Saturday

They took Irene from Plymouth, mate. Don't think they would've dared try and "take" anything from Pompey

Yes, that's a good point. SL will have sat up and taken notice of this, which probably wouldn't have been the case if another of your own - another milkman, Boycie Bradshaw or Higgs type - had taken over. It would be fascinating to hear his thoughts on this, he might be asked tomorrow in Nottingham. No harm in Lansdown and Bristol Sport getting a wake up call. If that's what all this turns out to be. We shall have to wait and see

To paraphrase the world famous celebrated Bristol City fan, in one of his most loved roles: "Can't we get you on Mastermind @Whitestsadhat. Next contestant, @Whitestsadhat from Cadbury Heath, specialist subject: the bleedin obvious." Nothing gets past you, eh?

Preston show what is achievable in this league. All the bollocks about not being able to compete (for Gayle and Gray, no we can't. Nor can Preston), I don't know what their budget is, but Preston's crowds are shite - they scraped over 10k tonight, only just - 5000 less than us this evening. The bedrock of achievement in this league is a solid defence - not being dead and buried before half time. Preston have managed this, yet like us they have scored less than a goal a game. We need to get back to that solidity and continue that into next season. We don't need anything fancy, anything massively expensive, just solid and professional. Like Preston. You don't need parachute payments to do this. Preston are doing it. We can do it. It can be done. No more excuses

If Uwe is built that'll be nigh on 49,000 seats to fill every fortnight in this previously largely luke-warm football city. Gonna take some filling
-
As will be Morecombe and Accrington, too. Worrying times for all concerned

Headlines in Sheffield, September 2013: Prince Abdullah vows to bankroll Sheffield Utd back into the Premier League Sheffield Utd investment is "game-changing" - Co owner Kevin McCabe says I paid £1 for half of Sheffield Utd says Saudi Prince. You can be sure I will invest over the next two years..... Etc, etc, blah blah blah. Meanwhile, two and a half years on, Sheff Utd get ready to welcome Port Vale to Bramall Lane once again tomorrow. This, a club with 32,000 seats and 20,000 regular fans already. And a history of top flight football. Etc etc Mind, on the other hand, there's Bournemouth....this could go either way!

It's coming from down the road, Samo

If UWE is built as planned, that'll mean there will be almost 49,000 seats for football to fill every fortnight in this town. Where are the bums going to come from to fill that many seats?

Might I be so bold as to just say, from my time on this place in the last few years, you do spend a lot of time yourself just moaning about the moaners (spudski, especially) moaning. That's just something I've noticed although it may not be wholly representative of your posting history, I'm not sure. Just a little feedback for you, there. Why not just rejoice at a rollicking good cup-tie and a great effort from the boys?! Up the City!
