  1. To be honest, no matter how tragic this clearly is, I would be surprised if Cardiff wasn't trying to get someone in right now. A very difficult task, and frankly a distraction, but they are pros and have to look to the future however callous that may seem from the outside. I could of course be totally wrong but there are a couple of Cardiff posters on here who would be better informed and Cardiff was in for the Genk striker and had a bid turned down last week.
  2. I know the Cardiff situation isn't comparable to an injury but it wouldn't stop desperate clubs taking on the authorities with well paid lawyers if they thought there was a chance, so I agree with you that a single loss however tragic would set quite a precedent. A Munich or Chape situation would be totally different and I would expect clubs to readily loan players to enable them to play, and the FA to make sure it happened.
  3. Understand that Andy, but I think it would open the door to clubs claiming they have lost a player without the opportunity to replace them within the window. Not saying Cardiff don't have a case, simply that I think there might be a reluctance to make an exception.
  4. As sad as the situation is, I don't think that should happen, because any club that gets such dispensation because of the loss of a single player would open the door to clubs who lose a star player due to injury right at the end of the window.
  5. Understood but want to leave nothing to chance !
  6. Misplaced sarcasm I guess as the pilot has almost certainly lost his life but possibly better choices as pilot if those facebook posts are to be believed which were worrying.
  7. Do they get a share of gate receipts ? Presume so. That being the case the competition deserves the big two in the final with proper fans so I vote Pompey away rather than they get a piece of the 40k at Sunderland
  8. Quite true Eddie, but still a nice stick to beat them with isn't it ! They appear to have a few on asschat who differ mind, but quite the minority...
  9. Similar to be fair. Wednesday have the Leppings Lane end, Rovers have the Lepers end
  10. We must have taken more than that to the LDV whatever versus Carlisle ?
  11. Genuine step ups for him in terms of facilities then.
  12. Absolutely, ragass or reggedy ass Rovers is a well known phrase. Fits them perfectly mind so I can see the confusion...
  13. Blimey Thorpe and Akinbiyi 20 years ago cost more than Kieran.
  14. Absolutely this. He was great for us, but clearly felt let down by the (alleged) meddling in transfer business so spat out his dummy and would have taken us down I believe just to prove a point which is unforgivable.
  15. Interesting that not only were we a league club well before them, we were actually wearing royal blue in FA cup finals over 20 years before they adopted those colours...... They should have stuck with the Argie rugby shirts or the Notts County copycat outfit. Also, if they are so "unique" and define the club, why did they ditch them for 11 years from 1962 ??
  16. Yes yes yes. I have so many top gas mates but I would love their club to explode. And thats exactly how they feel about us. Take note you ******* do gooders ?
  17. Agree. As a Bristol rugby fan though I would not want to give them fuckall, as we might actually be competing at either end of the table against each other, so whatever disadvantaged them would be fine by me. BS wouldn't see it that way of course because they don't understand.
  18. County ground Swindon maybe. Wouldn't put it past them asking Bristol Sport and then BS juggling three teams on that pitch.
  19. Yes and the gas never fail to bring it up either
  20. And Preston. They will already be there ?
  21. Easier to bring in a natural head coach. Easier to bring in a natural head coach.
  22. Id rather she didn't post at all but thats just my view of course.
  23. But she is a club official so that's the corporate stance.
