  1. It would be great but must ensure the middle bit is fully used every Saturday otherwise the caravans will be lurking outside waiting for a chance to get in there and claim it.
  2. UWE wil build an athletics stadium and the filthy gypos will rent it from them.
  3. Only if they have collateral to justify the loan. How much is the Mem site worth ?
  4. Yes mate, saw it as it happened - Clem and Rovers, a shambles made in heaven.
  5. Haha. That will be North Street next year - unless of course Millwall get promoted.
  6. As enraged as I am how will the present situation be the end of the football club. Lansdown will happily run a league One side on the cheap whilst he hob nobs with the elite of European rugby as it keeps his protege in a job. Not the end, just not where we should be.
  7. SL has millions invested or lent to a club that has a couple of million assets. Do you expect him to write that off? His priority will be the rugby club in the future so he keeps the ground. Therefore pulling BCFC from BS would mean someone buying an essentially worthless asset and be a tenant of BS. Wont happen.
  8. With respect Ivor, get a grip. "We" (whoever that is) wont be "having" the owner. Hoping for a formal investigation resulting in action against the club (not the owner) isn't actually helpful.
  9. It did solve everything for Johnson it got rid of the only man who could step in short term at short notice.
  10. Which bit do you mean? If people continue to support this crock of shit then fair play to them. Wont affect me as I wont be there with them.
  11. An absolute thrashing will help Johnson yet again deflect blame and Lansdown will suck it up "let down by the team" "needs players he can trust" blah blah blah. Players appear equally to blame tonight but Johnson has created the situation. Too late for a change . Unless Blackburn lose every game I think we are down. I cant imagine he goes so folks unless you feel your support is reciprocated by the club then vote with your wallets and stay away. Those who continue to support this ******* fraud and his megalomaniac backer then genuinely I say fair play and hope you continue to enjoy the match day experience.
  12. Rovers hasn't had a set up to be attractive to a kid who was "neutral" about who he played for since City got Academy status back around 98. Even when Citys Academy was really really badly run the lure of playing Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs as a ten year old or Exeter, Oxford or Swindon plus a limited budget forcing you to operate with small squads meant producing young talent was always going to be difficult. Cannot abide Rovers but just adding my two pennorth for balance.
  13. Very good if of course wholly un pc.........
  14. 29 acres for that purpose will be relatively inexpensive because the development upon it will be deemed to be complimentary to the planning use. However, the cost of developing the site is interesting, and maintaining even more so. I believe that true to form, Rovers are lobbying South Glos Council to "join" them in a "partnership" - for the good of the "wider community" - you know the one, "we got a patch of dirt so meet us half way and fund the development plus the annual cost and you can let Thornbury Falcon's train on it at 9pm on a Tuesday". The clincher in the case is "South Gloucestershire is staunchly behind the famous Bristol Rovers no doubt...
  15. Fair play I see they have put up their version of the Shankly Gates.. iconic.
  16. Begging bowl to South Glos council no doubt with an offer to "share" the facility with the community because after all they are a community club.
  17. Hortham... Horfield... Somewhere to pitch their caravans though whilst Wally is raising funds for some cones.
  18. You know though that if we said absolutely nothing about them and maintained the moral highground they would be even noisier about how we are shitting ourselves, coming for you blah blah ! Whilst we share the same environment and probably education, the vitriol on their forum and how they approach non gasheads on asschat is a world away from us. I suspect relations between the two clubs at executive level have rarely been lower hence the "welcome to Bristol" advert being sanctioned and Wally's stupid tweet and babbyassing to the EFL about us. I don't feel any need therefore to let up on them even though in terms of league status there isn't much between us at the moment. I have so many old school gas chaps as mates and I would back them to the hilt and vice versa, but we share two things - a respect of each other and a fervent desire for the other's team to crash and burn. That's how it is and Bristol really isn't any different to any other city with two teams.
  19. Correct and where are Rovers ? - where they usually are in division 3 without any of the above and with about a third of our home support. Don't get me wrong, we are underachieving but this is a pisstake thread and the title is the give away. I probably share 90& of the same views as you, but honestly, you shouldn't really post on here if you don't want to join in pisstaking.
  20. Correct. Mind you they could probably let it out for pony grazing for a few years whilst they save up for some corner flags.
  21. Easily done if you're pissing into the other blokes urinal, and any event STD's play havoc with your control of flow direction (so I have been told)
  22. Is this how they talk? Interspersing sentences with random "proud to be a gashead" "FTG" "Irene good night Irene"...Most strange...
